Marco Beach Ocean Resort

Marco Island, Naples and Marco Island

The hotel

Surrounded by the breathtaking backdrop of the Gulf of Mexico, the Marco Beach Ocean Resort offers a sublime retreat from everyday life. The hotel is located on a sugar soft beach with its azure waters offering an incredible variety of aquatic pursuits including snorkelling, windsurfing and sailing. All suites are luxuriously appointed, featuring fully-equipped kitchens, a balcony with views of the ocean or garden terraces. For the health conscious, there’s a fully-equipped fitness centre on the 4th floor or head up to the 5th floor to splash about in the rooftop pool. As you’re on holiday, you’ve every excuse to pamper yourself, so a trip to the hotel’s spa is a must. An impressive palette of treatments will soothe weary muscles and banish stress, leaving you feeling utterly relaxed. The concierge will be happy to arrange golf, tennis and charter sailing if you wish, all conveniently close by. If you’re a foodie, you’re in luck. Sale e Pepe is an award-winning restaurant specialising in fine dining Italian cuisine. The chef and his team create from scratch everyday a Piemontese-orientated menu (northern Italian with French influences) rounded out by signature dishes from many of Italy’s distinctive regions. Within Sale e Pepe is The Saletta, a more casual eatery with cafe-style seating. There’s also The Terrace with all-day alfresco dining and picture postcard views. After dinner, retire to Toulouse, an intimate and sophisticated lounge that pays homage to the Belle-Epoque era of Paris and the great artist, Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec.

We booked a 2 bedroom and were contacted by the Concierge (Tessa) about things she could do during our stay. We arrived around midnight and as we walked in we were very kindly greeted with a hand written card from Tessa along with a bouquet of balloons, 2 bottles of champagne, 2 travel cups, and a toiletry bag. The view is breathtaking as the balcony oversees the beautiful garden and beach. Beach access is only a few steps away with towel service once you reach the sand. The staff and service really helped make our stay amazing and is part of the reason we decided to become repeat visitors of this resort. My wife loves frozen water and while we were out shopping they had someone put a couple of bottled waters in the freezer for her. Food was excellent, pool was excellent, all around excellent resort. We had a one bedroom oceanview suite and were so happy with the accommodations! The private balcony was wonderful for breakfasts with an ocean view and also for sitting in the evening with a glass of wine. Definitely get the oceanview room on a higher floor - well worth it! Debated between this resort and the JW Marriott and we were glad to have the kitchenette and living area in this room vs just a hotel room. And the bathroom is very large; long counter with 2 sinks. Only thing small is the shower but was ok. Kitchen fridge is a smaller size but plenty to hold drinks, snacks and breakfast items. We ate breakfast in room every morning with a few things picked up from Publix and a trip to Empire Bagels as well (highly recommend). Best part of resort is the location right on the beach and the short walk out to the beach chairs (with no additional cost). We went down first thing every morning and the attendants set us up with chairs and towels and we tipped them. This service at other resorts costs $25-30 so we were extremely happy. We ordered drinks and food everyday and were never disappointed. Burgers, tacos and Kale salad were delicious! Room tip - we booked package with parking and $50 credit per day. Good deal if its still available. Was nice to have $50 toward food/drinks at the pool/beach every day or for room service. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Marco Beach Ocean Resort. Thanks to Trip Advisor reviews for helping us to find this gem! Read less

The pool area is great with plenty of loungers. There's a bar next to the pool and the bartender could not have been nicer. Special shoot-out to Michael for help with some lost keys - he could not have been nicer or more helpful! Read less

This place is always great but the staff really deserves an applause for handling a super intoxicated and belligerent guest who was acting the fool and being aggressive with staff last night. I hope they never let that idiot in again, nice job to the night shift manager!
