There are two Bonvoy properties across the street from each other here in Aventura - the Aloft and this hotel, the AC Hotel. I’ve stayed at both. I gotta say, I totally prefer the AC Hotel. Both hotels are modern and very new/clean. I just think the AC is more of your traditional type hotel — with a full breakfast (vs the Aloft has some strange breakfast nook. The AC lobby is a lot nicer too (it’s on the main floor vs at Aloft their lobby requires you to take an elevator up to it). The hotel staff at the AC are amazing. From the front desk to the cleaning staff, everyone says “hello” and seem to be genuinely nice people. The rooms are very modern - I really like my king with a sofa. I was able to see the studio rooms but I didn’t like the layout where the bathroom is part of the room. In the king and sofa room there is a totally separate bathroom (with a door). Others have complained that there are no dresser drawers. This didn’t affect me because I only stayed here for 4 nights and didn’t have that much luggage/clothing to even need to unpack. The rooms also have a coffee maker and fridge. I appreciated the attention to detail that the cleaning crew had — lots of places they will replace the coffee each day but not the sugars/creamer... at the AC the staff were great about that so I didn’t end up having a surprise the following morning making my coffee. It’s a small thing, but I do appreciate it. As a platinum elite member, the hotel was VERY accommodating. Not only do you get free breakfast but I also got a $10 we day credit for use at their snack center next to the front desk. Finally, the pool area and gym are also legit. I’ve attached some pics of the gym since I couldn’t find enough pics online. I personally used the gym once — for most body parts I found it was lacking and bought a day pass at a local nearby gym. I suspect most users would find the gym at the AC to be adequate. I highly recommend the AC — and if you’re choosing between the Aloft and the AC, choose the AC. Read less

Nice and clean, though very sterile and minimalistic. Friendly staff, decent rooms. Nice lobby, too. Close to a shopping plaza. I believe they also have a lounge, but not certain. Would definitely choose again.

I stayed overnight on Dec 26, 2019. There are no drawers in the room and it is pretty spartan. The manager said it is European style. The breakfast was a buffet with no signage about pricing. There were no eggs, no waffles, no pancakes. Bread, juice, and some sort of casserole. There was a bill for $16.35! It wasn't worth half that. The… Read more

There were no eggs, no waffles, no pancakes. Bread, juice, and some sort of casserole. There was a bill for $16.35! It wasn't worth half that. The icing on the cake was when I got my car from the valet. The carpeting was soaked. The valet parked my car on the lower level even though the severe rainstorm was predicted and their garage has a history of flooding. Repeated calls to the manager of AC did not get a reply. In addition to all the time spent on the phone and with emails, I spent many hours after my stay to bring the car to various places for repair. Twice to detail and twice to the dealer for service to the brakes, axle, etc on the underside of the car. The estimate for repairs is $3,000! That is an expensive one night at this new "Marriott." Don't stay here unless your expectations are very very low. Read less

He was patient and searched for the best rates for me, and it was clear he truly wanted to help me out. I was in panic mode due to realizing the hotel I’d booked for this weekend (wanted to get out to the beach after business all week) was a total roach hotel. He quickly got me squared away, and at peace. This hotel is super clean and the staff are all just amazing! Read less

Edlyn Laurent excellent service at the front desk. checked me into my room and held my luggage in the back counter until room was available. Provided coffee, drinks, menu options for lunch. Also information regarding breakfast buffet.
