Torn writing this review. We travel often and have never had such a mixed experience. The location, vibe and decor was great. Always ubers out front. Zero waiting. However. The service was non-existent and we are low-demand travelers. Checking in was easy but impersonal. Nobody looked up for a few minutes while we stared at the tops of three peoples heads. Nobody else was in line. We ordered a bucket of ice 4 times. Twice through guest experience, once at the front desk and once at the lobby bar. Never received one, over 4 days! So, we threw out the bottle we hoped to enjoy on our balcony. That was our only request the entire stay. We didn’t try the restaurants. The service didn’t set the tone for a special dinner. Wonderful places walking distance though. Room cleaning. We leave early around 8:00 and typically return around the same time at night to clean up for dinner. Returned to a dirty room, only to hear a doorbell and they started cleaning at 8PM. We sat on the balcony while they cleaned. Changed our dinner plans, etc. What would have made it better? Front desk: greet your guests. Guest experience teams: respond to requests Cleaning: please complete before 8PM Guest amenities: ice bucket in room and access to a machine. Its hard to use the in-room mini bar without it. If you step up customer service, the specialness of your building and location will make East a ‘must stay’. Final thought. Would we return? Perhaps. We enjoyed the area enough to consider giving them another shot. Read less

Hello! In fact I would like to share that we are very disappointed with the whole experience in the Hotel. We chose East because we know it is a very recognize hotel, but we didn't feel welcome in any time. Thats because we had a TERRIBLE night on 6th december. The room guests just right next to ours made a mess during the night. They put a very out loud music, they screamed and broke things inside the room. And as if that wasn't enought, they kicked at our door and tried to break into our room, screaming. WE WERE WITH A 2 YEARS OLD BABY trying to sleep. I never felt so disrespected, feeling like we were staying in a one star hotel. Worst of all, when I reported the situation to the attendants, they did absolutely NOTHING. Otherwise they tried to transfer the blame to me, asking all the time why I didn't call the front desk in the same time. A really unacceptable situation. I hope you better trains employees to deal with consumer, in order to avoid judicial problems and compensate all the stress faced by my family. Read less

Not quite the sheik models draped around the pool look that the Hotel constantly advertises. Check in all very high tech and in fairness very smooth and quick. We then went to the restaurant area for some coffee and a late breakfast which we were told by the rudest person we have ever encountered in a hotel had finished and that "you are not permitted to take photos in the restaurant/bar area"--I was taking a selfie with my wife and son!!!! Slightly irritated by our treatment by the restaurant supervisor/manager we then left to go to the pool area which turned out to be equally as disturbing as the restaurant. There is no towels or walked to your beds here--It would mean that the 3 girls on duty would have to stop chatting and laughing with each other as the hapless guests struggle to find some form of service. When designing the Pool area of the hotel the designers might have considered building the pool area slightly further away from the hotel block which acts as a giant sun shade in the afternoon from approx 1pm to 4pm resulting in no sunbathing during these hours. The rooms are in fairness very trendy but not really functional--the toilet area is not private at all being next to the shower with a large mirror in front of both--weird? The balconies are the smallest I have ever seen and are overlooked by apartment buildings and are in my opinion "an accident waiting to happen" Maybe we expect too much from so called 4/5 star Miami Hotels but surely if you are an hotelier-- offering a seamless service to your guests has to be your starting point. The team at the cafe led by Bruno and Carla are extremely friendly, try help if its not related to their job, know the guests by the name and its visible that they work with passion. Last time I stayed at East was in jan 2019 and when I got to the hotel on dec 2019 they remembered me and even called me by the name. The concierge team also treats the guests the same way. Nowdays especially in the US its so hard to find a hotel or retail where you are well treated but surely the East hotel exceeds my expectations. Congrats Bruno and Carla you make all the difference!!!! Read less

Beautiful, but horrible! No attention to the guests. We're a couple in a room that costs 2,300Usd for 5 days. Beautiful, but horrible! No attention to the guests. We're a couple in a room that costs 2,300Usd for 5 days. We only had ONE bathrobe in the room and only in the first couple of days days, then NO bathrobe anymore. Just ONE pair of slippers, the worst in-room coffee amenities I've ever seen in all the hotels I have already stayed at. 2 coffee capsules and sugar, nothing more, no milk, no tea, no decaf. These two coffee capsules were not even replaced every day. But worst of all was the bathroom shower. Without a closed box, during each shower, the bathroom floor turns into a pond. Perhaps the worst value for money I've ever had in my life, this hotel should cost less than half what it charges. We decided to have the breakfast at Quinto, which only included basic continental breakfast. Any additional request (even scrambled eggs) entailed additional charges. I've had better breakfast offered in 3 star hotels. Read less
