Well this was a different style of hotel we are used too. The decor and mirrors above the bed are definitely a far cry from what we are used too, especially the lovers box that is conveniently left in your room for purchase. By far, SLS Brickell is among the nicest hotels in Brickell. When renovating my condo, I kept going back day after day. The pool and spa are fantastic and the lounge served as my office each day. The restaurant in the hotel has a great happy hour or it's also a couple of blocks to the Brickell City Centre area.

This hotel will be much appreciated by over active hipsters and "wanna be trendsetters" who don't know any better. All plastic and mirrors, the hotel is full of slick surfaces and odd angles. This hotel will be much appreciated by over active hipsters and "wanna be trendsetters" who don't know any better. All plastic and mirrors, the hotel is full of slick surfaces and odd angles. The lobby is a bit claustrophobic with a massive screen projecting a non stop montage of those exact people that I noted above. It's very off putting and smacks of "look at me, look at me" narcissism. Then, just off the lobby, you walk into a lovely, airy restaurant complete with light wood furniture and many large windows that is both elegant and inviting. It's just plain weird to move from one space into the other and that to me is just not good design -- very jarring to say the least. The rooms are interesting with the bed in the centre of the room, but the mirror over the bed is just silly and smacks of ridiculous. Grown ups need not apply here. Again, lots of slick surfaces and hard angles and contrived decor on all fronts. It's not my cup of tea, but young, trendy adults might enjoy this hotel. The second floor lounge is once again completely different from the lobby and rooms and is actually a place designed to relax and connect --it's warm and inviting and much like the restaurant downstairs ... it's like this hotel could not decide what it wanted to be when it grew up. The one thing that I was blown away by tho, was the staff -- they are good -- professional and warm and happy to help on every front. They get five stars! Read less

Stayed 3 days for Business... You don't feel welcome at all. The rooms pretend to be "Vegas Style" with Mirrors on the Ceiling... between other things. Used the Laundry, they charged 15 dollars for a pair of pants (I left them as I do every where in the bed in the laundry bag) and they returned them 2 days later, and by the way, they did not… Read more

Used the Laundry, they charged 15 dollars for a pair of pants (I left them as I do every where in the bed in the laundry bag) and they returned them 2 days later, and by the way, they did not return the laundry bag and they charged me 25 dollars for it!!! and THEY TOOK IT!. One day I came back from work, late night and there was a bottle of EVIAN half drank over my bed!! and it was not mine! Who did that?? The Maid? i do not know but you can imagine... I wrote them, still waiting for them to solve my check... Really BAD Service, personel not trained... I recently stayed at the SLS brickell while attending a conference. The hotel is amazing and cutting edge and the incorporation of art into the general decor and grounds is something to truly note worthy. Every detail well placed.
