Trump National Doral

Doral, Miami

The hotel

This grand and stylish resort is undeniably a haven for golfers: with 4 championship golf courses (recently redesigned by legend Gil Hanse), a Jim McLean Golf School, the nation’s largest green grass golf shop, 40 hitting stations, a practice green, and a golf club custom-fitting service: even the rooms are named after famous golfers. But there’s plenty for non-golfers too, from the exceptional tennis facilities and upscale dining to the gently sloping Royal Palm Pool, with its 125-foot slide, thickly padded sun loungers, and summer weekend pool parties. A recent $250 million renovation by the Trump family left no corner (or golf course) untouched; and, with gold leaf Spanish revival touches designed by Ivanka Trump, your guestroom lives up the Trump National Doral’s glamour.

The staff took the issue extremely seriously and undertook a thorough investigation. They went out of their way to satisfy us. The customer service was excellent and could not be faulted. Thank you to Jorge and the team for helping us! Would recommend and return again. Facilities are excellent. My only minor comment is that the food costs are quite high in the restaurants and the merchandise in the shops are quite expensive but that is partly due to weak pound against dollar. Read less

I attended for a conference in the hotel. Beautiful resort. Bed was soft enough to be comfortable but not anything like a sleep number which would be top notch. Room and restaurant cleanliness wasnt great (odd things happened in my bathroom while I was out)...food in restaurant was really good but they shouldn't include 18% gratuity on everything bc the staff isnt all worth that, and I'd have given more if not just taken already. Food at conference was odd combination, many of us couldn't be served until the end of the allotted hour due to food shortages and the taste was really bland. Overall I enjoyed the stay because of the conference content and the grounds of the hotel. It was quiet in the room, too. But if I had to pay full price, no wa . Read less

The amazing experience starts at the front gate and continues with the rest of the staff. Everyone has a smile to greet you with and makes you feel like you are the only guest on the property. Property is immaculate as are the rooms. Ordered room service and it arrived with in 30 minutes. Food was of the highest quality.

We stayed here in February 2020 for our honeymoon. We wrote ahead to let the staff know that we would be arriving for this purpose and the efforts they made to make this occasion perfect for us were simply amazing. On arrival in an Uber, our bags were taken and we were escorted in to the hotel and seen by reception. The staff were very welcoming and knowledgable about our booking etc. My partner who is autistic instantly felt calmed and happy in the environment. It was confirmed that we had been upgraded to a better room but if we so chose, we could pay a small fee to upgrade to a suite (an option we chose and did not regret!!). After this we were shown to concierge who so kindly had arranged for a card and chocolates to be arranged for us as a surprise. The lady was amazing and offered all the advice and help we could ever need. After this we were taken via golf cart to our suite by Mark Anthony who was simply superb. He alone was worth the fee to stay. We then spent our time walking the grounds and taking in the golf course from the balcony. Thank you all at Trump National Doral, you made it perfect. Location The hotel is in a good location, not too far from the airport and quite close to a nice area of Miami with a lively centre of bars and restaurants. We went to the Improv Club to see an NFL show and was really impressed. There are plenty of Ubers around and the hotel has taxis on site so you can easily get around. Staff AMAZING! Every member of staff we talked to were great. All were helpful, friendly and could not do enough to ensure your stay was perfect. They always had time to talk to you and be attentive, be this the great Raynaldo in the sports bar to the staff in the deli. We would return to this hotel just because of them, they're a credit. Rooms We had the luxury of staying in a suite which had 2 bathrooms. The larger bathroom had a 2 person walk in shower and a huge bath tub. The living area was comfy with great sofas and chair. Both rooms had 55 inch TV's with a large number of channels and apps. The mini bar was well stocked and reasonably priced. The balcony was great to sit our on and look over the exquisite golf course....BUT.... the big winner here is the bed!! the bed was incredible. So comfy, best duvet and pillows ever. Quite simply the best sleep we have both ever had. Amenities So much to do! There was the beautiful spa, a gym, multiple pools, fantastic tennis courts and lessons, the golf course obviously as well as a free pool table to us which was excellent quality. There is on site shopping with some beautiful pieces which we chose to indulge in various other activities that can be arranged. Food Obviously in America, as a Brit, food is king! The food in the sports bar was brilliant. Nachos to share were a personal favourite. The portions were great and the quality was brilliant. There are a number of places to eat where the quality is very high and the room service options are endless. You cant go wrong. Overview We both travel a lot for work and are fortunate enough to stay in some fantastic places, but the Trump National Doral ticks every box and is a personal favourite. The peaceful tranquility set amongst a lively and hectic city is a haven and one we will 100% be returning to! Thank you guys for all you did Read less

We had a team of servers that were very attentive and accommodating. The food and drinks were very good, the atmosphere elegant, and the view magnificent. The prices are high but as expected. Note that gratuity is already included; I double tipped without warning. We had the filet steak and tuna steak for our meals--very good.
