The valet parking takes 30 minutes to get ur car & they charge 40$ per night ! We stayed from July 16th to the 20th. For sure breakfast was not included and costed us 325$ per night for a double bedroom. The only advantage thing they have is the water park my son had so much fun & thank god for the Starbucks at the hotel! Plus they need to train the staff how to speak to the residence my husband called to make a complaint about the trim service the lady on the phone told him I know we are receiving a lot of complains about the room service ! She didn’t even apologize! At the checkout they didn’t even ask how was our stay ! Very bad experience I’ve to so many hotels around the world in my life but nothing like this one ! Read less

My husband and I often take short, weekend staycations with our young daughters as they love staying in hotels. This past weekend we decided to check out the newly renovated JW Marriott Miami, Turnberry and their widely-talked about new waterpark; Tidal Cove. We absolutely love this hotel and will certainly be back very soon as it is now our favorite hotel for staycations. Our room was in the newly build guestroom tower; the Orchid Tower. The new rooms are wonderful, very spacious with high end finishes and beautiful bathrooms. The beds are so comfortable and the pressure in the shower head is superb. We dined in Corsair on three different occasions, twice for breakfast and once for dinner. The breakfast buffet is delicious, with lots of choices and made-to-order eggs and omelets. The food presentation is very creative and the coffee is excellent. Paula was our hostesses all three days and she was perfectly friendly and accommodating. Chelsea was our server and she was fantastic and the manager Michael was very helpful also. We ordered dinner one evening from In Room Dining and the General Manager personally took our order. Rocha was so warm and friendly and really displayed genuine hospitality. Our order arrived on time and the food was the perfect temperature PJ served our food and set up the table as if we were in a restaurant. it was great - I highly recommend the In Room Dinning experience. Tidal Cove is the new water park that just opened and WOW, what an experience that was. Our 5-year and 4-year old daughters absolutely loved the kids pool and the lazy river. There is something at the water park for every age and the food and beverage service is wonderful. Our servers, Kristen and Erika were both excellent and the pool attendants, Ariel and Leead were very attentive throughout the day. The leadership team at the pool is FIRST CLASS - Sebastian, Laz and Larry checked in with us during the weekend and made sure we had everything we needed. Also Anthony Paul is an exceptional service provider and he greeted us warmly each day and also made sure we had everything we needed for a fun-filled weekend. There are great retail options at the resort and the staff are great - Juan, Kathy and Francisco assisted us select fun bathing suits for the girls. Again, their customer service was excellent and they remembered our names throughout our stay. We enjoyed Free Style also and highly recommend the gelato - try the coconut, simply delicious. We also ordered the steak quesadillas and the Turnberry burger is mouth-watering. All-in-all the food and beverage experience is really good. In summary, JW Marriott Miami, Turnberry is officially our new favorite staycation hotel and we can't wait to return again very soon. Kudos to the leadership team for running such a great hotel. You all should be very proud. Read less

We gave our tickets to bellman at 4pm for our bags and it was 7pm and they were not delivered, my husband had to get himself, in addition called since 10:15pm to get sheets for the sofa bed and after 3 calls with long waits my husband had to go downstairs to get the sheets and the manager had to come her self with them. My husband said many guest with same issues. They are extremely understaff, very disorganized, all in all a hot mess. JW are usually amazing this hotel is not to their standards and I highly recommend you don’t book unless you want to be aggravated. I travel quite often stay at many hotel for pleasure and business and this ranks top 3 worst! Read less

The hotel manager is a racist, more on that later. This place is a rip off plus, the service is BEYOND BAD! The hotel manager is a racist, more on that later. This place is a rip off plus, the service is BEYOND BAD! You're much better off staying at an Orlando resort and going to ANY water park there, you'll save a lot of money rather than coming here! I'll start by saying that the parking is a rip off, they ONLY offer valet at $38 plus tax a day!! So we gave up our luggage away to hold. When 4 pm came around we were supposed to get our room but at reception with an attitude they said; "if we didn't call you/text you, your room isn't ready". So we had to fight to get our room at 4:15 pm! Then I gave my luggage ticket as instructed to the luggage handler who swore up and down our luggage will be delivered to our room in less than 20 minutes. More than 3 hours later we arrived at our room and guess what, our luggage wasn't there! I called, no one answered, I had to ask where they kept the luggage. I went there and had to retrieve the luggage myself in one of their carts and take it all the way to my room in the magnolia building which is on the other side of the property. That same evening my wife called 3 times asking for bed sheets and blankets for the sleeper sofa so our son could go to sleep. After more than 1.5 hour wait I had to go downstairs where on the evening of July 20, 2019, there were several other guests waiting to get their bed sheets, pillows, towels as well. I had to complain in order to get our stuff. Finally an excellent overnight manager; Ivanna Johnson helped us out. THE ICE ISSUE:. there is no ice machine so you'll have to ask for them to bring you ice to your room, so after you call, sit and wait a LONG TIME! There also no mini fridge in your room so if you brought a cooler, good luck trying to fill it up with ice. At Tidal Cove, there are 2 lines for the water slides. You'll often do the right thing and stand in line to wait your turn. But here comes a couple of teens that skip the line in order to go on the green float ride, bypassing everyone by pretending that they're going to ride the drop rides and the cutting the line. So I told the lady managing the lines that these three teenagers cut the line, others told her, she simply asked them and she let them stay!?! That same day I brought a small Bluetooth speaker to listen to slow Spanish music (bachata) which is Dominican slow music. I had it low. The hotel manager; John Rogers told us to turn it off. I asked him if he was telling me to turn it off bc it was Spanish music, he denied it but there's no question that it was bc it was Spanish music. While some ppl rent cabanas and play the music they want as seen from walking around or being in the lazy river, those Hispanic peasants that sit on their chairs need to obey and turn off the music. Mind you, I'm not one of these loud guys that plays regeaton all day, it was slow, romantic Spanish bachata at a volume only we could hear in the general area of our chairs. So I turned off the music. Do yourself a favor and stay far away from this dump! Read less
