Kimpton EPIC Hotel

Miami, Florida

The hotel

Epic by name and epic by nature, the Kimpton Epic sits along the water’s edge, overlooking the glistening Biscayne Bay. Take a dip into one of the two rooftop pools, and sip on a cocktail in your private poolside cabana. Seeing as you’re set on the waterfront, seafood is a must, and you can dine looking out on the sea itself. In need of some me-time? Head to the spa for a treatment, or try your hand at a yoga class. And when the evenings roll in, head out and experience one of Miami’s cool bars, or retreat to your room for some down-time.

Great location (and views); large, clean, modern rooms with balconies (even a standard room felt luxurious); and the excellent customer service I've come to expect from IHG properties. Be prepared for expensive valet-only parking.

This is a good business hotel in the heart of the Miami business district. The lobby and room are modern and each room has its own private terrace. The terraces are great for being outdoors and watching the city especially at night. The rooms are nice and average size but it's the terraces that make the room. Rooms are clean. I love the plush ultra modern vibe of this hotel. My husband said it was his favorite hotel of all which is really saying something. The room was actually better than expected. The bathtub jets did turn on by themselves a couple times but other than that it was very enjoyable. I’d go here to feel inspired. A crib and water was brought up to our room promptly after calling. As in within 10 minutes. Great service. The concierge made a reservation for us for the wrong date on accident and so he comped my family of four a free breakfast the next morning. A very nice sit down one at that with excellent service. My husband liked the bar and we found all the shows we wanted to watch on the tv in our room. They had Disney jr for the kids even! AND the front desk gave our kids free large cookies and toy microphones at check in. This is a great hotel for kids even though online it may seem geared otherwise. Next time we come my husband and I will try to take more advantage of the romantic nighttime views... without the kids lol! Read less

Hotel is just two blocks from Whole Foods and lots of museums nearby. Special shout out to Luca at reception who kindly agreed to cut short our stay and refund our last night as we need to return to our country before coronavirus travel bans come into effect. We will definitely stay here again if/when we come back to Miami. Read less

My room on one of the higher floors had a private balcony overlooking the city, a large comfortable bed and felt luxurious. Digital safe, iron, television, complimentary water, bath and shower, minibar and dressing robes were all present. The hotel has a pool, gym, bar and restaurant on a higher floor. The restaurant was nice and has a seafood theme. In the lobby there is an art cafe, Japanese restaurant and bar. Complimentary wine was served in the lobby for an hour in the evening and complimentary coffee in the morning. A great place to stay in Miami. Read less
