Kimpton EPIC Hotel

Miami, Florida

The hotel

This hotel is Epic by name but is it epic by nature? You bet it is! Described as an ‘extravagant base camp’, it’s counted as one of the best 500 hotels in the world (2015) and we can see why. You have the option of arriving by yacht at the hotel’s very own private marina, spending the rest of the day deep-sea fishing or soaking up the sun. Fancy a swim? You’ve two pools to choose from, one that occupies a sixteenth-floor pool terrace and comes complete with great views and private cabanas for hire. There’s also a state-of-the-art fitness centre and Exhale Spa for massage, facials, scrubs and more. Like the swimming pool, Area 31 is perched on the sixteenth floor to bring you waterfront dining at its finest. Given the hotel’s proximity to the ocean, fresh seafood is a speciality, accompanied by a delicious glass or two of wine. For modern Japanese cuisine, Zuma is ideal or listen to everything from Classic Jazz to the Bossa Nova at the lively Lilt Lounge.

The Epic Hotel exceeded our expectations in customer service. Jessica, Michael and the entire staff were amazing. They went above and beyond to accommodate our team. I highly recommend for corporate meetings.

We had a group of rooms blocked for a corporate event. Our Welcome reception dinner was fantastic. The hotel is dog friendly, and they have a nice wine cocktail hour each evening as well as have bicycles on hand for guests to reserve and use in the city.

This is a nice, swanky, Miami-esque (if there is such a thing) hotel, but OH.MY.GOSH. the parking cost is outrageous and such that I won't ever stay here again. Nice room, very helpful staff and the lobby was great for people watching on a Friday / Saturday night.

Stayed here a few times over the last year on more than one occasion and Donovan has always been extremely pleasant and helpful. Always greeting us with a smile and making our stay very comfortable! Will be back again!

From the second I arrived at 1AM I felt like royalty. Alejandro went above and beyond during and after my check in constantly saying, “don’t worry about a thing, you’re home now.” I was greeted every time I came and went from the building, enjoyed excellent room service every morning, and slept like a baby on the most comfortable mattress in the world. 😎 I would leave the room for 20 minutes, come back and my room was cleaned to perfection (shout out Housekeeping). The only thing that would have made my stay better would have been not leaving. 11/10 would recommend. Thank you EPIC for making me feel like family. Read less
