Miami Beach Resort & Spa

Miami Beach, Miami

The hotel

There’s a distinct tropical atmosphere at this resort, located in a quiet area, overlooking a quiet stretch of beach. Miami Beach Resort & Spa offers a variety of amenities including an oceanfront Olympic-size swimming pool with concierge service — simply request your towels, snacks or magazines and they’ll be brought to you as you soak up the sun on your comfortable lounger! There are also spa treatments galore to tempt you, and a state-of-the-art fitness centre to keep you in shape. If you fancy trying out those sea legs, there are boats for hire at the private dock or head to the aqua sports centre for water sports of a different kind. Guests also enjoy golf privileges at the nearby 18-hole Miami Beach Golf Club so don’t forget to play a few rounds! Built in 1963, with its Art Deco design perfectly in tune with the jet-set glamour of Old Miami, this is the place where Frank Sinatra and Jackie Gleason once held court in the Starlight Room. Today, you can dance the night away in that very same place but not before dining at one of the hotel’s restaurants. Seabreeze Bar & Grill offers wonderful American classics to tuck into or feast on sumptuous island-style cuisine at the Ocean Bar & Bistro.

the staff here were great, and the room was clean. i do like the outdoor pool steps away from the ocean too. would stay here again--some of the amenities seemed a bit dated, but we weren't looking for a fancy stay.

This hotel could be great. They have a great staff and a wonderful location but the owners have seriously neglected this property. This hotel is a 10 minute walk from Eden Roc and Fountainebleu which is where I spent most of my time. They should change the name to Miami Beach hotel and spa. Read less

This place is affordable, comfortable and friendly! The room had a lot of mirrors and a good shower. The bed was comfortable and the view was great. The staff was helpful. The location is so close to the beach and just a few minutes from Front Porch Cafe for breakfast.

This was meant to be the relaxing part of our holiday and it was nothing but. We had just completed 2 weeks jetting round the US and the was the time 2 relax. When we checked in we were told we had a double room. I like my friend but not in that way. He looked for a twin but we were told this wasn’t guaranteed as we booked through an agent. We then tried to get to our room. Well after about 15 minutes we managed to get a lift that was full of teenage girls. The room was ok but dated. We had trouble with the key card & this kept happening all through our stay. Only 1 restaurant was open and this was more like a canteen than a restaurant. Food was ok but not a lot of choice . What had not been explained to us that the hotel was used what I can only think could be spring break! There was at least 200 teenager girls running up and down the corridor & banging door all night til the following morning. There are only 4 lifts and no stairs which meant took us 20 minutes to get 2 our room. There were no free sun beds by the pool as they had taken them all, then they tried to take over the bar area but as they spent no money the bar staff moved them. We tried to speak to hotel manager but they didn’t have one. DO NOT Stay at this hotel if you want to relax. Also tried to book a treatment at hotel over weekend but the lady that does facials does work weekends, not sure if it really should be classed as a spa! Had trouble committing as they spoke very little English as well. My friends husband contact the hotel after we returned but nothing has come of this. Read less

Great beach. Staff is friendly enough. Wouldn’t call this a resort by any means - it looks like the last time they updated the place was in the 70s. No hot tub, but decent enough beach (which is where we spent most of our time). Admittedly, we did come during their off season, and it looked like they might have been working on some renovations/upgrades...but probably would like to stay elsewhere next time. We were here least year for New Years...we made the best of it and made our own fun, but really...no countdown? (I blame the DJ on that one.) Read less
