The front desk staff is nice, but the room is dirty. There’s dried blood on the drapes, handprints on the headboard and I can tell the floor hasn’t been cleaned in a while. I even found 2 balled up receipts from previous guest on it. Oh, and how can I forget, makeup on the pillowcases and black long hair on the bed. Disgusted.

I am staying at this awful hotel right now! I am a Marriott Rewards Platinum Elite Member. Booked this hotel for 4 days. 3 days were paid for by Marriott Reward points. I Only was supposed to be charged for one night stay, taxes and destination fee of 22.00 per day. Long story short my card was charged over 600.00 for one day. I am being bounced around from person to person to try and get this corrected. The check in process was horrible it was late and the floor was being stripped. It was water all over and equipment around. No one offered to help with our bags and we had to carry luggage around all of this equipment, cords and water in the lobby. The room we had to request clean bedding for the pullout couch because the bedding that was in the room was dirty. The pool is horrible. Filthy we even complained to some of the workers about the pool needing to be cleaned. We were told someone was coming. No one came to look at it the 2 hrs we sat outside. The location is good. Nice beach across the street. But because of the lack of customer service I would not recommend this hotel. Reading past reviews I see that over charging seems to be a common thing at this hotel. Love the Marriott brand and have never had a bad experience until now. Customer Service is Terrible!!!! Read less

The breakfast was really good and allowed you to fill up for a day of exploring Miami. Surfside is a nice quiet town with a few bars and restaurants ( we recommend Flanagans) but close enough to the action in Miami if you need it. It's also a 5 min walk to the nice and quiet beach. Overall I thought the hotel was well located, clean and good value for money. The only downsides were the resort fee and the car parking charge. Whilst both were discounted to $10 and $19 per day respectively ( ask for these discounts when you check in) it's a pity there was any parking charge at all for residents. Recommended and would definitely return. Oh lastly, Liz waiting on the tables at breakfast was brilliant, quality customer service with a genuine smile who never failed to make my family laugh! We stayed here for a week as part of our 2 week US holiday. The rooms are clean and modern wish a good bathroom and shower. The two rooms we booked had a sofabed in the lounge area as well as kitchen. The beds were very comfortable but the sofabed mattress was thin and we got that changed. The Gym and swimming pool are located on the 3rd floor which was the same floor as our rooms which was very handy. Well equipped gym with water and towels provided. The swimming pool is a good size and the tent areas are great, The soft drink top ups by the pool are great thanks to Patrick the barman. Good value instead of having to pay for a new round of drinks everytime. A good idea. The hammocks are bliss. The breakfast is good but the seating when busy is crazy as having to sit on the sofa without a table was awkward. They should keep it open beyond 9.30 which is too early and therefore everyone leaves it until the last minute to have breakfast. A good selection of food and drink. Parking next to the hotel is crazy at $37 per day. The hotel can probably help though so do ask. Bikes are available for free. We ran along the beach one morning which is very pleasant albeit HOT! The beach was lovely, just a short 3 minute walk from the hotel and there are chairs and umbrellas for guests available. I lost my wallet on the beach however this was found by the chair attendants, isn't that amazing!! In Miami too!! We ate dinner at a wonderful Italian restaurant up the road called Cafe Ragazzi which was probably the best Italian food ever but not cheap! Anyway a very pleasant stay. Read less

A very good stay, I would like to go step by step, in the Frondesk, Humberto, Yoel excellent, in the Israel Lobby Bar very good cocktails especially Pisco Sour. I want to mention cleaning a 10, very attentive Houskeeping, I recommend this hotel to be with family, the beach across the street and the pool on floor three.
