The Shore Club

South Beach, Miami

The hotel

Redefining cool on Miami's South Beach, Shore Club combines classic minimalist design with quirky twists. Designed by famed British architect David Chipperfield, the hotel features grey terrazzo floors, white walls and white fabrics accented by flashes of colour such as cone-shaped lampshades in funky colours like emerald green, gold and purple. The ground floor, leading all the way to the beach, is one seamless adult playzone. Under every potted tree and around each column, there's a funky but cosy collection of stools, chairs, couches and tables. The lighting is low, with hundreds of candles; the music is eclectic; and the design is a mix of ethnic styles that contribute to the culture of chilling out.

Overall great experience! Customer service from all the staff was good, but we lovedTabitha and Drew! The property is clean and well kept. Yes it’s older, but well cared for; and the pool area is beautiful. Everything is within walking distance. We walked and biked everywhere.

From the room, to the service, the staff etc. We went on this trip for relaxation, and thats what we got. The service on the beach was exceptional. Roland, who helped us with our chairs & umbrellas. He was AMAZING. Roland was ON IT! His customer service is impeccable, he was so attentive to everyone's needs all while doing it with such a great attitude.. all in 90 degree weather!! Also, we ate at the restaurant downstairs which I cant even put into words how delicious! The service was PHENOMENAL. We were greeted by the manager Jose, who was the epitome of great service. He made sure we were comfortable at our table and made us feel like we were right at home. Jose recommended some dishes we might like.. which turned out to be absolutely delicious! Jose was AMAZING!!!! Thank you for the amazing stay and service !!! Read less

A small group of friends and I went to Miami in February for a girls trip and while we loved the location of the Shore Club we were disappointed by the hotel. First of all, the lobby has a very strong smell from candles when you walk in that is too much and very overbearing. Then our room and the hallways just look rundown - like no one has updated them in years. No one offered to help us with our bags, we had to carry our own bags to the tower we were staying in which was not in the main building as the lobby. There wasn’t turndown service. The beach is convenient but nothing is included. You have to pay extra for an umbrella, extra chairs, etc. Miami is a beautiful place and there have to be better hotels than this one :( Read less

Location of this property is great. It sits at the beginning of where you want to walk & experience what South Beach has to offer. I also enjoyed the back exit which leads to the beach trail - great for walking, running, biking, rollerblading, skateboarding, you name it. The property itself is just okay, not bad, not great. It serves the purpose &… Read more

Our room was not clean, smelled terrible and was very run down. On the other hand, the service was amazing. The people who work here are excellent. They totally exceeded expectations. But I would not return to this place. For the many hundreds of dollars per night, it does not measure up. So many better options in SoBe. It does have a good location and the beach was wonderful.
