We needed a place that was reasonably priced and located somewhere between Universal and Disney. This hotel was great for our needs. The comfortable lobby bar is perfect for a evening enjoying friends and drinks with yummy snacks. But the best part of the lobby bar is the bartender Mariana!!! She is the best bartender and an absolute delight to be around. This is definately our new go to hotel for all our Orlando trips. Read less

We booked this hotel for the last few nights of our 10 night stay in Orlando so that we could access all the places we wanted to on IDrive and also do some shopping before we returned to the UK. On arrival we were made to feel very welcome and the male on reception provided an excellent service checking us in. Check in / out was very simple and straightforward. There was a resort fee of $4:95 per night and a charge of $50:00 for incidentals which was refunded on check out. Our room was on the 6th floor and upon entering the room we were pleasantly surprised with the facilities in the suite. The kitchen area had a dishwasher, a full size fridge freezer, a toaster and a coffee maker. The rooms offered plenty of space for moving around. Yes the room was dated, but you get exactly what you pay for. Location is perfect. A short walk from the Worlds largest McDonald's, Dennys and IHOP and IRide stops that can take you up and down International Drive and Seaworld and Aquatica if you have these park tickets. The pool was very small, but the kids still enjoyed it and there were plenty of sun loungers to make use of. Breakfast was hit and miss, but it did improve throughout our stay and it was better than heading out with nothing. There is a Walgreens just up the road if you needed to purchase anything for the room. The shower pressure was poor and this was one of the negatives that we picked up on. But all in all I would recommend this hotel if you are on a budget and you want to be in a great location to access the parks etc. Thank you for welcoming us. Read less

The tv channels had Cartoon Network which is one of our guilty pleasures. The sheets were clean, and the beds were comfy. The tv worked well. It had glasses and plates available for your use. There was a small store inside if you needed to purchase a drink or snack. The breakfast food was decent and was complimentary. They have a free drink with your stay. There were no signs of bed bugs. And now for the bad... Walking into room 519, immediately you notice a funky smell. As you stay in the room, you don’t notice it, but each time you re-enter, it’s there. The elevator was slow and sounded like it was going to grind to a halt. I’m not sure if the floors are dirty or stained, but they felt sticky the first night we were there, and I didn’t feel comfortable waking on them barefoot. The cabinets were worn — you could see the mdf under the veneer — but they and the countertop were clean. It has a fridge, stove, and dish washer. Everything seemed to work. The doors into the bedroom made it awkward to get to certain places. You’d have to close the door to get around. The bathroom either has some discoloration caused by mold or it was dirty. There is a tiny safe in the room, but we weren’t provided with a key for it. The phone in the living area didn’t work. There didn’t seem to be enough hot water for both me and my husband to both have a shower. The water pressure was very low. The tub did not drain quickly. Read less

If you're looking at this hotel, you're trying to save money and for many the question is whether it's worth it to save the money. I think for me the answer is yes but I think the answer for my wife was no on this one. We were looking for a reasonably-priced suite hotel that was near Universal and this definitely was both. The staff were friendly. The pool is like ok. Kinda small. I really like suite hotels as I like to have food there and be able to eat. With two kids, the cost and time to go out to eat just isn't worth it for me. I'd much prefer to be able to have food in the room and eat at our own pace. It's also nice to have health snacks (like fruit) and drinks so that you're buying less crap throughout the day. We were able to cook and have a pretty nice dinner the one night we were there. The provided breakfast was not good at all so I was particularly glad that we had food in the hotel to eat. We didn't eat it. The kids ate some sugar cereal as that's pretty hard to screw up but nothing else looked even moderately appetizing. The feel is definitely a little spartan. It just is. I mean that's what you get for a hotel that is like half the price of most of the other hotels in the area. So, this worked out pretty well for a couple of nights. Given the extortionate cost of theme parks, it was nice to save some money. I'm not sure if I could have done a week there though, given the spartan nature of it. We had been travelling for awhile and it was nice for us to have laundry in the building. So, I was happy with it and if I was saving a couple of hundred dollars for a spartan feel while getting a kitchen and being so near universal (like down the road), in many cases I'd do it but again I think it was a little bit of a downer for my wife.
