Enormous apartment with 2 bathrooms gave us privacy so sharing with a colleague was no problem at all. Fully equipped kitchen with all necessary tools and a large fridge/freezer gave us no problems with creating our own breakfast, we took all other meals elsewhere. Nice pool and gym, but the pool is not meant for training only recreation, so I took a run around the lake instead. Recommend this place both for holiday and for conference stays. Read less

Just returned from 2 weeks at Vista Cay. We were in block 4804 which I highly recommend as very close to the supermarket, Publix and also a great breakfast place called The Diner. We were in a 2 bedroom premium condo. The condo was amazing. It was clean, spacious and had everything you could need including dish washer and washing machine. There is a nice pool area and a small but reasonably equipped gym. You do need to buy essentials when you arrive including bin bags, washing up liquid and we had to buy a tea towel too. The staff we had any interaction with were quite miserable and at check out no one asked if we had enjoyed our stay. Check in was efficient but also not at all welcoming. One day I used the gym facilities and put my shorts and vest over balcony to dry. Later on that day, I received a notice on the door saying that i was being warned of violation of bylaws and threatened with $100 fine by leaving washing out to dry. I checked all correspondence and all the paper work in the condo and we were never told not to hang washing outside. I took the notice to the reception who did not apologise and just said it hadn't come from them and was from the housing association. I explained that it's not fair to threaten guests with fines without actually telling them what they are not actually allowed to do first. Vista Cay need to start telling guests of the bylaw as we saw many condos with towels hanging outside to dry. The receptionist was very dis-interested and like all other encounters, very cold. I would stay here again for the location as its great for families, just a shame the staff actually have no customer service skills. Read less

Let’s see check in was painless... we got to the vista cay really early in the morning (12:30am)... it was kinda hard to find the check in office and it was dimly lit which made it look closed. The neighborhood was in a good area near almost everything and it wasn’t on a busy street which we liked... The community looks nice from the outside. With that being said we stayed in a 3 bedroom townhouse. The Free WiFi was down the entire stay. We needed to print our tickets for the park and was sent next door to pay to have them printed... The place appeared to be clean at first glance but in reality the dishes were dirty... the dressers were dusty. The bedroom down stairs had the washer and dryer in it next to the bed. The shower door was hard to open and close and was rusty with a hint of mold. The tv was hard to work, it took me a few hrs to realize the remote doesn’t cut the cable box on and that’s why it wasn’t working... The balcony door upstairs in the kitchen didn’t lock and had been unlocked since we got there....so please check those upon staying... The bathroom had some type of ant motel going on, there was a trail of them on and near the toilet paper... the blinds didn’t close. The pictures showed stainless steel appliances ummm nope didn’t get those either. There was hidden fees like a cleaning fee but no one cleans until you leave. Which I find very hard to believe with the amount of dust that was in there. oh and the bathroom counter had a long crack going down the top. The beds were not comfortable, and the light switches seemed to be very bootleg. The staff was pleasant, and it was a gated community in a good local area. Read less

We were in a bind for a room, saw Vista Cay, from the road and took a chance on this condo community. Great price, very spacious, clean and quiet, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We will be back!

However the town house itself was a disappointment, the sheets on the bed were old and tatty, furniture was damaged, blinds and patio doors were broken. We would have reported the issues however the reception staff were so insistent that we left a $200 holding deposit that I was concerned that we would be held accountable! Luckily we only used the house as a base. The house we stayed in was definitely in need of some TLC and was not of the high standard of accommodation we have come to expect from Virgin. Read less
