This was my second time at JW Marriott Grande Lakes. I also stayed once at the neighboring Ritz-Carlton. The lobby at the JWM is very impressive however the rooms and corridors upstairs are ready for face lift. It is still a great room though with lots of space and a comfortable bed. Air-conditioning in my room was a bit noisy while producing next to zero air... The air was stiff throughout my stay. The window was dirty and could barely be opened. The curtains style is a bit seventies (really quite opposite to the grandeur of the lobby). I was disappointed with the room service: I ordered room service on the first night and waited for one hour for a simple burger. Without apologies. Read less

I was staying about a 10 minute cab drive away and was super impressed by the Grande Lakes Hotel, grounds, staff.. ok, pretty much everything! We were based in a huge conference room where hot drinks were always available and the staff were SO friendly and polite. The whole hotel is a buzz of people from all over the world and the building itself is gorgeous, my only regret is that I wasn’t able to stay here along with a lot of other people from the conference but hope to do so in the future because my first impression was a good one so hope to return in the future! This hotel and the grounds are beautifully maintained. We didn't spend a lot of time at the hotel but I would love to go back and enjoy the pool, lazy river and spa. The beds were very comfortable, the rooms were quiet and the room service breakfast was delivered as ordered and on time each morning. The first night we ate at the bar and the service and food was very good. Our waitress was very friendly and brought over a bowl of nuts with our cocktails. We ordered the sushi, a salad and buffalo chicken sliders. Everything tasted very fresh and was delicious. The second night we had dinner at Primo and Brandon was an excellent waiter who provided great recommendations and awesome service. The antipasti had a vast selection of meats, cheeses, olives, nuts, fruit compote and honeycomb. It was so large that I decided not to get a full entree. Brandon recommended the heirloom tomato salad with artichokes, olives, pine nuts and I added a side of grilled shrimp. My husband ordered the 12 oz prime NY Strip and it was cooked perfectly and it tasted great. The hotel staff was great everywhere you went throughout the property. Our room had a balcony but it wasn't large enough to sit outside. The hotel is very large and we noticed that they had two nice outdoor lounge areas with comfortable furniture and they both had fire pits which was nice because my husband likes to have an evening cigar and it got a little chilly in the evening.
