Shuttle times are at 7:25, 9:10, 10:45 to either Epcot or Hollywood Studios. Pick up and drop off is in the parking lot of the hotel. The bus drivers were on time for both pick up and drop off. They do not tell you where they drop you off unless you ask but it doesn't matter either way. Once you get to the bus depot of the theme park you can take a bus or monorail to your destination. If you want to make rope drop at the theme park, you need to take the 7:25 shuttle as you generally arrive at the destination at 8:20. Shuttle return times were 8:00 and 11:00 from Magic Kingdom (you need to take the monorail from Magic Kingdom to the ticket and transportation centre) and 9:00 and 10:00 from Epcot. We arrived too early for check in so we checked our luggage with the front desk and walked around the hotel property. There are a lot of souvenir shops around the hotel and you can buy a lot of Disney souvenirs there rather than in the park to save $. There is a CVS and Walmart within walking distance. A lot of restaurants nearby for dinner. I appreciated the front desk staff for seeking me out when I got back from walking around to let me know they had a room early for us (thank you!). The outside of the hotel is tired looking. Lobby is decent and has a big breakfast area. Breakfast is served from 7:00-9:00 M-F and 6:30-9:00 on the weekends. Because we wanted to be at the theme parks for rope drop we had to take the 7:25 shuttle which gave us little time to have breakfast especially when we have kids. Often they were not ready at 7am and we were left scrambling to get food for the kids before catching the shuttle. It would be great if M-F if they could have breakfast earlier so we can eat leisurely. Breakfast was average and consisted on bread/toast, English muffins or bagels, mini muffins, waffle, sausages, hash browns, eggs, cereal, fruit salad, juice and coffee. During our stay the hotel was undergoing renovations in the main courtyard by the pool. Pool looked nice and the people who used it seemed to be enjoying themselves. Every night we were there they were playing loud music at the pool until late. The outside of the property could use a good tidy and power washing. Inside our rooms it was okay. There is a lot of wear in the room with rust, peeling paint, and cracks. The room could use a good cleaning as well. I have no complaints about the bed and bedding. There was a microwave and fridge in the room. Our room was cleaned on a daily basis. We did pay a daily resort fee (which I was aware of when I booked the room) which I do not think they should charge considering the condition of the courtyard. The major complaint I have about the room is how loud the air conditioner was. It affected our sleep on a daily basis. Was I satisfied with my stay? I would say the hotel served its purpose as a place to sleep while we visited the theme park. Would I stay in this hotel again? No. Would I recommend it to my family and friends? No. I think next time I would pay more for a place that had better upkeep. Read less

This trip we lost power to the mini fridge and everything on that wall, didn't know this until the next morning and lost everything that was to be kept cold. Staff didn't care and made no attempt to compensate us for the loss of food. I would never stay here again. Room was filthy, air didn’t work correctly, exit sign was a safety concern. I’ve stayed before and it was very nice but since then it has gone down hill. Check in was about the only thing that was good.

** This rating is of the property's business practices, rather than the property itself. My experience is probably common among all hotels in such a heavily visited tourist area, but it still wasn't pleasant. My two friends and I reserved two rooms several months before our trip, but when we arrived in the evening we were told the hotel was overbooked and we'd be sent to another place. Overbooking happens - I get that. However, I’m infuriated because we were told our new location was nicer than the Baymont. This was a bald-faced lie, as we were sent to a classic, 1950’s-era two story cheap motel. It was good as cheap motels go, but after a long day of work and then travel we were looking forward to sleeping in better rooms. We chose the Baymont because it was close to Animal Kingdom, at which we had arranged an early morning tour. Our displacement to the motel and the additional distance we had to travel to the park ensured we didn’t get enough sleep that night, which lessened our enjoyment of the park. Read less

The hotel has an awesome night auditor Joseph, he really does wonders. The reservations department and sales need to catch up to the other departments. (They booked my reservation for the 20th even though I called several occasions and confirmed the reservation with them. The breakfast is really good, definitely coming back. I could not believe how close we actually were to the parks Read less
