The hotel

When you’re booking a trip to the theme parks in Orlando, you don’t imagine that you’d be able to find a haven of relaxation and luxury right in the centre – well here it is. The JW Marriott Orlando Bonnet Creek Resort & Spa sits within the gates of Walt Disney World Resort, with a shuttle service taking you to the park gates in no time at all. The action is right around you, but when you step into the resort you’l find yourself in a 75-acre protected oasis where you can recuperate. The rooms have a sleek, sophisticated design, with ample space in the family suites for larger groups. And from the family suite accommodations to the rock climbing, garden golf, and the activity schedule at the kids club, there’s always something to keep the little ones entertained, rain or shine, whatever their hobbies. Whilst they’re occupied in resort, be sure to visit the spa by JW, inspired by the rejuvenating warmth of the ‘Sunshine State’, these treatments will have you feeling your best in no time. Disney Springs is just 5 miles away, with its wide variety of restaurants and bars on offer, but the JW Marriott have plenty of their own to save you the trip on those tired evenings. illume is a particular favourite for guests, located on the 9th floor, giving you a great vantage point for the Disney fireworks whilst enjoying Asian inspired tapas and fresh sushi. For those chilled poolside afternoons, check out the happy hour at Unreserved Beer Garden, where you can enjoy a range of craft beers or a chilled glass of rose in the late afternoon sun.

We've stopped through Orlando many times over the years for family trips and have had the opportunity to stay at many different resorts/hotels but this is honestly the first one I really want to go back to. The resort itself was beautiful, clean, modern, elegant, and designed excellently. The food (restaurants, quick service, and room service) was truly some of the best of our trip, the drinks were super creative and expertly crafted, the gym was nicely stocked and clean, the pool area was gorgeous... everything really hit high marks but what truly earns my 5 stars is the incredible customer service we experienced. Every interaction we had with the staff was warm and friendly but some interactions far exceeded our expectations. Tyler at the front desk made us feel like we had a close friend checking us in- he went above and beyond to make sure we felt comfortable and any needs we had would be accommodated. He went over options with us and even checked in whenever he saw us to make sure we were having a great time throughout our trip. Having someone be so interested in our experience and willing to help had such a positive impact on us and the other family we were staying with that we all agreed we would choose to stay here again. Another stand out experience was with Alex upstairs at their Illume restaurant. We were unsure of the menu so he went through item by item clarifying our options and giving explanations. He also went steps further to check in on our drinks, remedy a delayed dish, and even gave recommendations of other things to try throughout the resort and on our future travels. We so appreciated the friendliness and the way the whole staff worked together to just make sure our experience overall was the highest priority. I would highly recommend staying here and am already booking it again for January. Read less

They have a good gym and an excellent relaxing spa with the most amazing steam room and sauna anywhere. The beds are comfortable, the water pressure in the showers is excellent. Most importantly, this place clearly has an incredible General Manager as the culture here is phenomenal. Every single person is nice. Genuine and nice. Also an excellent morning breakfast in the lowest level restaurant that pleases my very picky food spouse. It’s a third of the price of the Ritz Carlton Grand Lakes, or the Four Seasons, which in my opinion are the only other places to stay in Orlando, and since there is this JW Bonnet Creek it’s just not necessary to spend the extra $$ to get a good experience here in the Orlando/ Disney area. Gotta give some love to the staff here. 5 star service all around. I recently spent 3 nights here at the JW Marriott Bonnet Creek to attend a nearby conference. Overall, this is a very nice hotel and I'd recommend it to others. First, the location is very close (but not on) Disney property and they do have a regular shuttle bus that takes you there. (If that's why you're here in the area.) The main reason I was very impressed with this hotel is because the staff was so very friendly. I was truly surprised and pleased by how pleasant everyone was--especially the employees that meet you at the front driveway/doors. Denny (Danny?) and Luis--wonderful, kind, genuinely friendly--I don't think I've met hotel employees that friendly in a very long time, if ever. Front desk employees were nice too--Tyler checked me in and was a real pleasure to interact with. Will at the lobby bar--and there were others too. Whoever is doing the employee training at this hotel location is definitely doing the right thing! Wow. I was also very impressed that they provided nightly turndown service--with chocolates on the bed and a refresh of the water bottles--thank you!! As a Marriott Bonvoy Platinum member I had breakfast included--it's a buffet and was pretty decent and I was able to include my guest as well which is generous. Rooms themselves were ample-sized, very clean, with a comfortable bed. Towels were adequate for a four star hotel. Only thing that I didn't like is the JW Marriott-standard toiletries--which are made in China--yuck. I didn't get a chance to use the pool(s) but they looked lovely. Hotel restaurant (on the main floor) is extremely expensive and you definitely need a reservation, so keep that in mind. Also, the hotel isn't really "near" anything within walking distance so if that's an issue for you, you might want to look elsewhere. However, overall I was very pleased with my stay and would gladly return if I was in the area. Read less
