Tried this last week - it was a colder morning. This course is decently laid out, with some notable unique elements. Deserves some more fertilizer to bring it up to snuff, as well as some more TLC.

We played here on a recommendation, and we are glad we did. We even went back for another game in our two weeks we enjoyed it so much. We found it a little quieter than the rest, we were just a two ball and both games we were out ourselves which was great. We were round in 4 hours easily, both times we played between 8 and 8.30am. We found it a little quieter than the rest, we were just a two ball and both games we were out ourselves which was great. We were round in 4 hours easily, both times we played between 8 and 8.30am. The carts have gps which is very useful. It has a nice practice area, range, chipping area and putting. The greens were excellent, very firm but very true. It is well laid out and has some nice challenging holes. We ate both times in the clubhouse and cannot fault the meals and friedliness of the staff. Only negative was that the ladies toilet at the 4th/5th wasnt very clean either time and had no toilet paper and the bin was overflowing. The carts also do not have cool boxes. Apart from that it would have got 5 stars. Read less

My experience was outstanding! I really love the new greens, they are fast, and I could get a great feel on them. The fairways were well maintained,as well as the tee boxes and bunkers. I thought that 4 of the 18 holes were better than the rest. They were holes 7,12,15,and 16. The staff were extremely polite, the food was delicious, and the… Read more

It had a driving range, 2 putting greens, a chipping and pitching area, and 2 practice bunkers. I will definitely be back. Read less

I am in the Davenport area for the winter so I checked out several courses to find one for regular play. Providence Golf Club is by far the best of the four I tried in this area. I've played it five times at this point. The course is well maintained. It is challenging for most levels of golfer without being too difficult for a high handicap golfer. The practice facility is very nice. They have a full driving range, a couple of putting greens, a chipping and pitching area and a sand practice area. The greens are new this year. That is a mixed blessing. Because they are new they are very firm. If you land an approach shot on the green itself, it will almost certainly roll off of the other side. This condition will likely improve over the next two years as the greens mature. On the other hand the greens roll absolutely true. On most courses I average 32 putts per round. In the five rounds I've played at Providence I putted 32/26/31/30/25. The staff is friendly and the food in the 19th hole is very good. The prices are very good for the area. Like most courses in the area the greens fees vary with the season. For people who are only golfing a few rounds while in the area there is a rewards card available that allows online booking at a reduced rate. For golfers who are playing more often there are three levels of membership available - silver, gold and platinum. Each level permits a different discount rate. I bought the gold level (half-price until 12/24) and am paying $30 to $47 per 18, depending on the point in the season. Overall I think this is one of the best courses in the area. Read less

We have played Providence a few times in the last month during our Fall stay in the area. Course is in fine shape and they are clearing upgrading course conditions. The new greens are firm and fast. Tee blocks, fairways and bunkers are in nice shape. GolfNow Hot Deals are best prices for visitors. On one occasion we dealt directly with the club to book a tee time and paid a rate that was about 35% higher than the GolfNow Hot Deal, so best to watch for those deals. My wife and I would recommend this course to players of all levels. Read less
