Just had a week in Orlando staying at the Double Tree. Considering its proximity to the convention centre I have to say what a great location it is for many of the areas attractions. Having been to Orlando many times I didn’t actually visit any of the parks but it’s ideally situated. There is a footpath straight into Sea World and also Aquatica is very close. International Drive is a short ride away and Ubers are very easy to use. Eg the big wheel costs only $8 - $9 to get there. The hotel itself has everything you might need. The rooms ( I was in building 9 ) could do with little bit of an upgrade ( shower, low pressure and AC noisy ) but overall very good and housekeeping was in every day. The pool area was great although the pool temperature wasn’t 🥶🤣 The pool bar was fantastic with live sport on daily and the service was 1st class ( thanks to Leo, Hayley and Miguel ) Read less

They just gave us another room key and told us to move. So, we spent over an hour trying to pack up and move. Not one person tried to help us, or even check on our belongings. Once we checked out, they charged extra fees to the card they make you put on hold: I was told my card is not going to be charged since I had paid in full before we got there. I am still waiting on the manager! He has yet to call me! Charge me extra after ruining our luggage and other belongings? I don’t think so 🤬 Read less

However, I saw multiple snakes and reported them to the front desk and cleaning crew to be told they could do nothing. I was extremely nervous because the snake was repeatedly spotted outside my room. I booked this hotel to use the SeaWorld shuttle, but I didn't know that it only ran a few times in the morning. Walking (through the snakes) was faster to get to Seaworld. My husband and I went to the pool bar to grab lunch and drinks, but the poor bartender was alone and too busy to assist us. We didn't think much of it, so we headed to the restaurant for dinner to be told they were only offering brunch. It was 3 o'clock; was brunch still going on? The manager suggested we head to the bar to eat but explained that the poor guy was dealing with a spring break crowd and had no time for more customers. Hidden fees: be sure to clarify everything at check-in. I am highly disappointed in the hotel and trip and will not return! Read less

We booked online and it said how much our total would be. There website lied it didn’t mention $30.00 dollars per day for parking 1 car in a town full of free parking. Overall it felt like a scam. The hotel itself is not as good as most Double Trees. My advice is to stay elsewhere it is not a deal.

Will definitely not stay here again. The rooms are very dated and were not that nice at all. there are a lot of hidden fees we did not know about and they charge you when you leave!! Read the fine print! Extremely disappointed and Will not recommend!!
