Tidewater Beach Resort

Panama City, Florida

The hotel

If you’re heading for Florida’s fabulous Panhandle, it’s probably for the beaches — so a spot right on the sands of Panama City Beach is pretty hard to rival. Along one of the biggest private beaches (said to cover more than two football fields of sand), this high-rise shoots up from the shoreline to give you the best in beachfront apartment living. Each of the private condos inside is unique, but they all share a collection of handy holiday extras — including two beachfront lagoon pools, an indoor pool, a fitness centre, a games room, and a handful of hot tubs. There’s space in your condo to cook, dine, and lounge about, but you’re also a stroll from Pier Park’s shops and restaurants if you fancy forgoing the washing up and dining out.

Beware of the bunk beds, the ladder isn't attached and your child may end up falling backwards off the ladder trying to climb to the top. Luckily, we noticed it before they got on it. The carpet (especially in the livingroom) is disgusting and so is the patio floor. Looked like the previous guests had smoked cigars on it and it wasn't swept up at all when we arrived. There are two square tables on the patio made of 4 (1 ft tiles) - each table is missing a tile. My suggestion is to fix one table and get rid of the other. Security cameras in the garage didn't work. How do I know? Because someone backed into my car in the garage and I tried to file a police report. They pulled the camera and it didn't work! We tried to sweep up the patio, but there was no dustpan and the broom was disgusting, too! I'm not sure who the cleaning people are for this resort, but they really need to step it up a bit. Best thing is the view. It is amazing. We saw 3 manatees very close to shore cruising one afternoon. That was cool... But I won't stay in Tidewater 1914 again. And my family stayed in 302 and it was better, but still not what we have been used to in PCB. This was our 8th year in PCB for an early May family vacation. The guys who did the beach chairs were nice, too. Read less

Our room was amazing,we had everything we needed in our room and the resort was gorgeous. There is so many things to do on the resort such as the movie theater, 2 pools, roman spa, gym and private beach as well as near by. I will be going back, I loved it here!!

My family and I stayed in unit 305 the 12th-20th of April, liked it so much stayed again May 8-12th. Unit was very clean and had a great feel. Loved being only one floor up from the walkover, easily could take the stairs down if the elevators were running slow. Didn't need too on this trip though. Overall had a wonderful experience and will… Read more

I booked 1402 for 6 people. It actually sleeps 8. 1402 is a very nice condo with gorgeous beach views from the master bath. It was clean, tastefully decorated and relatively well maintained with the exception of a bathroom sink that was stopped up. Maintenance couldn’t come ‘til the next day. It was clean, tastefully decorated and relatively well maintained with the exception of a bathroom sink that was stopped up. Maintenance couldn’t come ‘til the next day. So, we basically lost the use of the sink for a full day. A special mention to Management (Hailey) who went above and beyond to accommodate my request for an extra night’s stay due to a last minute schedule change. All in all, it was a good visit. I would recommend and I would stay again. Read less
