Our second visit to this hotel, for 10 nights, from the UK. Our previous visit was amazing, hence our return, but this time not so great. There were 4 conferences going on at the time and this caused us all kinds of issues, as listed below: (1) Drunks each evening in the bar/lobby area, witnessed one guy trying to enter the ladies restroom, another smashed glass of red wine near us and one guy leaning all over my daughter. Not a nice experience and this was most nights we were there, where the so-called business people just took over the hotel facilities (2) Poolside, just full of business people, talking shop all day, in big groups, not exactly relaxing, when they are high fiving each other all the time (3) Noise every morning and evening, waking us up (4) One occasion, they decided to play loud music, at the conference centre at 6am. My partner went to complain, yet nothing changed, the music continued until we left our room at 11am (5) Areas of the hotel and surrounding parts of Citywalk, other restaurants just closed off for private business functions (6) Long queues every morning just to get a coffee, full of conference attendees (7) Number of occasions, conference attendees walking around the lobby holding glasses of wine and bottles of beer, empty glasses left everywhere, including in the restrooms, not exactly family friendly There are other examples, but I think I have stated enough and would never recommend this hotel, when large conferences are taking place, especially if you are a family with children. Shame really as the hotel has so many positives, but we will never stay there again, when in conference season Read less

Our family - which included our son, his wife and 2 children - along with myself and my husband (grandparents). We wanted to provide the children a wonderful Valentine's Day trip - this was their Christmas gift that we surprised them with. Their kids suite was so neat - like a pirates room with 2 twin beds in it for them. The parents had a king suite and we had adjoining rooms. The staff was very courteous, the prices were a bit steep - considering the overall cost of the rooms totally, it seemed a bit unfair to me that the food and the amenities provided would also be expensive to make your trip an extravaganza in price! I couldn't imagine how some of the larger families were making it - and did hear comments from some parents having to keep their costs at a minimum and therefore preventing their children from having the items - drink or snacks - they wanted. A shame - but it was that way ALL through the Universal Studios park - CityWalk, etc. The facilities are definitely making a good mil a day from the prices charged there - and families are gouged with these extravagant prices. Just be aware of the parking fee, but that is common for hotels in that area. Read less

We had a great time at this property. The staff was fantastic, especially Megan Rose in the lobby. She went above and beyond to make our stay fantastic. She greeted the kids, got them balloons (even got down their balloon from the very high ceiling). She also sent us a basket full of treats! She made our stay great and we cannot wait to come back!
