The hotel

This larger-than-life resort will bring out the kid in everyone. With fun, fun, fun the order of the day, the entire family will enjoy the decidedly whimsical atmosphere that prevails. Featuring three hotels, Disney's All-Star Movies Resort boasts a giant Herbie; the Love Bug car, and lots of enormous playful puppies from 101 Dalmatians. Disney's All-Star Sports Resort has five themed areas – American football, baseball, basketball, tennis and surfing; and at Disney's All-Star Music Resort, the buildings are decked out with huge saxophones, guitars and drums. Food is casual and relaxed, just how families like it, and regular complimentary buses to all four theme parks, both water parks and Disney Springs make getting around as easy as American pie!

The location was good but you have to take buses or drive your car to the Disney parks. I recommend not going to Disney World but if you insist I would pay more for a better hotel such as Animal Kingdom Lodge or non-Disney hotel nearby. I recommend not going to Disney World but if you insist I would pay more for a better hotel such as Animal Kingdom Lodge or non-Disney hotel nearby. The food at the Disney's All-Star Music Resort was mediocre at best. We had the Deluxe meal plan which was probably overkill. The pizza was not much better than average frozen pizza from the local super market. The egg white omelet was good but the coffee was weak. Read less

Rooms nice and clean, staff great. Long distance to parking lots and buses. Buses overfilled. Mostly had to stand and hold pole or strap. Not easy for over 55. Husband says we'll never stay there again! I walk 12,000 steps a day and found this hard. Better to stay outside and drive in car, which we have done before. We did get free… Read more

It is very family-friendly with great staff and food. Rooms were clean and well maintained. Cafeteria style restaurant a hotel had amazing food every day with lots of choices. We were bused to the ESPN Center as needed. Buses were typical Disney which means clean and nice. ESPN Center is amazing with so many venues. Just be prepared to walk but the nicest people are hired by Disney so you will meet them everywhere. Only problem were the "love bugs" which can't be blamed on anyone except Mother Nature! Hope we can do this again next year. Read less

My partner and I stayed for 11 nights. It is very clean, all the staff are friendly. Overall, it was great, we only used it as a base to shower and sleep. However, I feel like the rooms were due an update, and we were put at the furthest point away from buses, food court, reception etc. It took us just over 5 minutes to walk from our room to the bus stop. I would stay here again as it is great value for money, especially if you want the disney magic and convenience of staying on site. We have planned our honeymoon for next year and will be staying at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. Read less

The convenience to the parks mitigated most of our complaints. Our rooms were small, but clean. We asked for ground floor and got it. The grounds and pools were immaculate. The shuttles had longer waits than preferred at times; but still beat driving a rental car back and forth ... and the drivers were pleasant. Be prepared to walk additional steps ... the park drop off and pick up points for the All Star resorts seem to be at the farthest points from the entrances. Our rooms were a fair hike from the main building/food court of the resort, so a drink refill became a decision. There was no coffee pot (or microwave) in the room. The food at the park was usually better than at the resort. English is not always the first language of the staff ... which can be frustrating when ordering food (e.g., my meatball subs had no cheese ... after repeating that I didn't want any chips.) We also had a communication mix-up with a cashier that escalated ... but another staff member quickly appeared at our table with a cupcake to try to smooth things over. So, they really do try to please. Knowing these were the budget resorts ... our expectations were reasonably met. Read less
