From the moment we arrived at Kidani Village we were welcomed home with authentic African hospitality! Born in Africa, this resort had big shoes to fill! Our family of 5, 2 adults and 3 children, ages 8, 10 & 14 stayed in the 1 bedroom Savannah View Villa with spectacular views of the savannah. We awoke to the sounds of nature and the sight of magnificent African animals in the safari. We sat on the balcony enjoying delicious Kenyon coffee from the resort. Boma, Flavors of Africa is a true representation of African and Cape Malay cuisine. My children found the buffet delicious returning for seconds! They especially enjoyed the Pap and Bobotie. We swam and relaxed. We delighted in and browsed the historical African décor at the resort. Most impressive and heart felt were the African Cultural Representatives. They embodied the authentic true Spirit of Africa, and is a part of Africa that cannot be replicated. My children learned about different African Countries and the Goodbye hugs left us all teary eyed! Mouse Keeping never failed to deliver keeping our room immaculate! A Mouse Keeping cast member went above and beyond organizing our youngest child's plushies on the bed! For our Family, Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge was an experience, not a vacation. Its a place where memories were created and a place where we will return to years from now. Disney, Thank you from the bottom of our hearts! A fabulous experience before boarding our Disney Cruise!
