We love Old Key West and this was probably my 5th or 6th stay at this resort. The rooms are very large. This past stay we had the 2 bedroom villa and were near the hospitality house. These units had not yet been renovated, however, they were still very nice. I do recommend that if you are going, you try to request one of the renovated units as… Read more

These units had not yet been renovated, however, they were still very nice. I do recommend that if you are going, you try to request one of the renovated units as we had that last summer and I love this resort more since their renovation. This unit had 1 bedrooms one with 2 queen beds and an adjoining bathroom and the master king with jaccuzzi tub and walk in shower. The living room has a sleeper sofa and a sleeper chair. The kids got a kick out of the sleeper chair!I There is a full kitchen and a small balcony area off the living room and the master bedroom. There is also a full sized washer and dryer. Read less

Yep OKW checks all our boxes and the amenities are great. We booked their smallest room and it was quite a ways from the “Hospitality House” where the main pool is. But their use of space in the deluxe studio we had (4526) was really smart. As other reviewers have already written, the rooms here have more square footage than comparable rooms at other Disney Resorts. Myself, my wife, our teenage son, and our five-year old daughter had plenty of space to suit our needs, and we had a small balcony overlooking a canal that the boats use for transporting guests to Disney Springs - wonderful! We made several walks to Hospitality House because our kids loved the main pool and the water slide. The pool side quick service meal options (and the bar) seemed to me to be MUCH better than poolside snacks at other Disney Resorts. The staff here (as with many Disney Resorts) were all eager to please no matter what our requests were. Bell Services at OKW was particularly helpful with our luggage, upon check-in and during our check-out procedure. If I had any suggestions to make I would offer these points for management at OKW. But please understand we will surely be back as these aren’t really complaints just suggestions! 1). Despite staying 7 consecutive nights in the same room on property, we never received a full Mousekeeping service. On day 4 of our trip, Mousekeeping actually removed all but one of our towels from the room and didn’t replace them. So our family of four had one towel to share on morning #5. I explained this to Michael at the front desk and we had fresh towels within the hour. But we never received a full service. Seems like a 7-night stay should warrant one complementary full service but towels aside we managed without it just fine. 2). I doubt that all the pools in Key West FL close at 10pm. We LOVED coming to the main pool after a long day in the parks. However, a 10pm close didn’t afford much time to do this. Other Disney resorts close their pools anywhere from 9pm to 11pm. I wish we could have another hour to swim (or even a half hour). Obviously that means raising costs so I can understand why this isn’t done. The pool is so great I just wish it could be available longer. 3). I didn’t see the “Internal Resort Shuttle” bus at all during our stay, outside of one time upon arrival. With so many stops here I do wish that a van or some other shuttle could be available more often. But without the shuttle I just got more steps in during many walks to Hospitality House and the pool. Overall this place ranks as my second favorite Disney Resort behind Wilderness Lodge, but ahead of Beach Club and Boardwalk because of the extra space you have in your room. You really can’t go wrong with any of those four choices though, so really it just depends on whether you want to be close to Magic Kingdom (Wilderness Lodge), or the other parks. An outstanding stay and I look forward to coming back! Read less

First time staying at OKW and first time staying in a 1bedroom villa. Would definitely do it again! It was spacious and comfortable with a nice view of a pond and golf course. Both the king size bed and the sofa bed were very comfortable. Loved having in room laundry as well. We've stayed at 5 other resorts in all Disney categories and this was our favourite for obvious reasons. We wanted to do a non park stay so we could relax and enjoy the resort amenities that we were paying extra for this time around. We still did one park visit (too hard to stay away) but we really enjoyed the tropical laid back theme of this resort. If you want the Disney amenities without the over the top theming (not that there's anything wrong with that) then this resort is a great pic. The staff we encountered were friendly and helpful and one of the bus drivers was extra nice by giving my son stickers and trading cards. We enjoyed the pool, the restaurant and movies under the stars during our stay. Since we weren't hitting the parks everyday all day, I thought this resort was a great choice and would recommend to anyone. Read less

This resort was great. Typical of Disney, the staff was great. Very friendly and helpful. The room was amazing. This resort was great. Typical of Disney, the staff was great. Very friendly and helpful. The room was amazing. We were in a two bedroom, two bathroom villa that was recently renovated (they are almost done with all of the room renovations). Everything was clean, the beds were very comfortable. The rooms are spacious and airy, and the master bathroom even has a jetted bathtub. The villa has a nice fully appointed kitchen, and there was a lovely balcony with a table and chairs. Whenever you come back to the property after a day of fun at the parks, the nice person at the gate says "Welcome home," and it really does feel like a home away from home. I would definitely stay here again, it's my new favorite Disney resort! Read less

stayed at a newly remodeled studio . it is very large and very clean , beds were very comfortable . This is one of our home resorts for the disney vacation club . All the rooms are larger than the other resorts . if you need an elevator there are only a few buildings that have them
