We visited this hotel as a big convention group and dud not have choice of where we stayed. We are Elite Marriott members so we were at least happy it was a Marriott and Disney resort. We've stayed at various Disney resorts and last years in Ca compared to this years at Dolphin is no comparison, CA is so much better. Although this is a Disbey resort, technically its owned by Marriott and there is NO MAGIC here. The staff ud very grumpy, there us a tv shoved i. The corner to mimic tge ither Disney hotels. The receptionist wanted nothing to do with us at check in until i mentioned we were elite Marriott members. She placed ys in a room in libby dloor which was great bc its a huge hotel snd we know how busy elevators get at these bug hotels with conventions. Excepts as ekite members, she should have upgraded us to a balcony room, so we spent mist if the day trying to get a room with a balcony on the main lobby floor which is foor 3. Finally after calling most if the morning it sounded promising to get our request until the front desk clerk got snippy with me and i requested a manager to speak with. I spoke with Matthew and he promptly apologized and placed us in an opposite wing to accommodate our request for a balcony, we had to move from the west 3rd floor to east 3rd floor. We thought the rooms were decent as they seemed to be recently updated with paint colors and decor. The new room seemed fine but we later statted smelling a very foul smell in the halls once we approached our room. I complained via phone and to concierge each day that we were there about the awful nauseating smell in hallway, it seemed to be bear the ac unit in hall way and smelled like trash or vomit. Each day i complained they assured me they would take care if the smell and send engineers over. The 2nd day we stayed there, i stattted having sneezing attacks and the 3rd day we were there i had a sore throat. I finally ran into another guests on our hallway in oWho did he have x-rays with? ur floor and she noticed i was covering my nose while walking down the hall, she was also concerned about the smell and advised that it was likely airborne mold in the hotels AC unit, (which made total sense, that is where the smell was coming from). I'm highly allergic to mold, i told her of my random sneezing attacks and sore throat and she said that fits the symptoms of it and that her husband had already complained as well. I then ran into another family on our floor complaining of the smell and i told them of our convo and the wife said she also had a random respiratory issue that came on while staying there. I complained to the front desk, this tome telling them i needed to speak to a manager and he (Andy) moved us right away. I wish we would have moved us sooner, it just took a lot of time to get that room in the first place and i never would have thought it would have been mold related until i spoke with that other guest. I filed a report with the building security but who knows if they rectified the issue. We were traveling with our kids and there are various other families there as well with there kids. It doesn't seem like they listen to you at Dolphin until you get a manager involved. When it comes to your healthy and the health if your family this us very scary. Also be ware of their snow cone machine at pool. We were going to purchase our daughter a $8 snow cone until we got a look at the machine and the cooler the ice was in, all of it was covered in dirt. This is how people get sick, this hotel is not clean, who knows how long ago the pool was cleaned. They really need to up their cleaning regulations when it comes to the pool and snowcone machine. You could see dirt on the slide while there but the worst was witnessing the cooler that had dirt all over the top if the ice used for snowcones as well as the actual machine. If thus is the way Marriott and Disney operate their hotels we will be leaving as elite platinum members and start spending our money elsewhere. This was very disappointing to see. I think the health department needs to pay them a visit... Read less

I attended APAC 2019, which was held at the Dolphin and Swan resorts. The hotels and meeting rooms were incredibly beautiful and the staff were exemplary. They were knowledgeable and helpful - answering any and all questions about locations and meeting areas. I would love staying at either hotel.

I stayed at Walt Disney Dolphin in early July. It was a mother daughter’s trip. The hotel is about 30 minutes from the airport, I took an Uber for about $36. There is the $30 resort fee but I was expecting it since it was clear when I made the reservation. I didn’t mind the fee because there were so many activities for my daughter who is 10. We arrived to the hotel around 3:30. It took about 15 min to check in which I expected right at check in time. The staff was friendly and helpful. I was in a room with the view of the pools. The room was very clean. I loved all of the activities for children offered on the resort. We mainly ate at the hotel and prices were what I expected for Disney. We went to the pools in the morning and the park in the evening which worked out well. We took the water taxi over to the Boardwalk which was nice but go in the evening. This property was perfect for my trip with my daughter and we plan to visit again next year. Read less

So July 2019 we plan a 2 week break first part of the adventure was at the dolphin So my review in regards to location in Disney it is great. The room was very average and did not warrant the cost per night and house keeping was pretty awful Two days I had no cover for my duvet and I ended up chasing up guest relations twice to get it arranged. I even offered to buy my own at Walmart which am sure rubbed them up a bit, The pool area is really second rate and worthy of a one star, the pools are dirty and have all sorts of floating bits so enter at your own risk Also I was surprised that they don’t have life guards round any of the pools yet this is a family friendly hotel or so we thought So if you have young kids be aware your there only line of defence in the water. The costs are ridiculous in the hotel as well five dollars for water and your pay for breakfast a small fortune for re heated waffles We booked with virgin and for any one else that books with virgin you get free parking all other tour operators you will get charged 25 dollars a day to leave your car at the hotel each day and if you want valet parking it is 35 dollars a day. The bigger problem is you can’t get parked either as they safe all the spaces for valet parking so for the average holiday maker you could spend along time trying to find a space which is super frustrating when you can see 100,s of free spaces and you can’t use them. If your a family with young children it is a complete pain in the you know what especially if they fell asleep and you have to hike to get back to your hotel as your so far away from the hotel After multiple things going wrong for my family in the first week we complained yet again and we were helped out by josh and super professional young man who upgraded my parking to valet for free (thanks Josh) All that money to be crammed into one second rate room that is old and unless you complain house keeping arrive when they want to and one star pool facilities I WONT RETURN TO THE DOLPHIN although the hotel is within Disney it is not magical at all and the family could not wait to pack up and get to our second location in clear water which is amazing and a holiday saver after work one at the dolphin Hotel is very over priced 5 star prices for 1 star value Read less
