Jumeirah Vittaveli

Maldives, Indian Ocean

The hotel

It’s hard to return to everyday life after a stay at Jumeirah Vittaveli: the very definition of luxury. Your beach villa is entirely secluded, but still gives direct access to the beach or lagoon, putting you just a swim from one of South Malé Atoll’s healthiest house reefs and five shipwrecks. At your villa, every luxury awaits: an oversized L-shaped pool (you can swim from your bathroom, around your villa, to your terrace), semi-open rain showers, interactive TVs, even adjustable mood lighting. In fact, it will be impossible to holiday anywhere else after you’ve lazed on the daybeds enjoying cocktails at B4R, dined with your feet in the sand at Mu Beach Bar, woken early for yoga in the spa garden and sunk into the massage table in an overwater treatment room. And, with one of the Maldives’ largest kids' clubs and Ice Ice Maybe, the Maldives' first ice rink built from artificial 'Glice', who can disagree?

A Beautiful resort, although we had a few problems, the staff and manager worked hard to fix everything that happened as much as was within their control. The resort is located close to the airport which loses the deserted island feel you get from most islands as there is a lot of sea traffic and construction nearby. The coral reef around the island is fantastic and snorkelling wonderful. The restaurants are excellent, and food quality high. I would recommend this hotel for a two night stay either side of your arrival in The Maldives and then move on to a more remote island for the true Maldivian feel. We would return and do exactly that. Read less

We are vegan and not only were we accomodated, we were personally invited to dinner by the chef at Fenesse Vittaveli’s French restaurant. The Villa was amazing , when I show our friends at home the pics they are amazed. Nabeel was a great host and easy to get in touch with, Nasem, Samra and Siopay at Samsara were friendly and helpful. We never had to wait for anything but nobody ever intruded on us either. Is it expensive yes but I don’t regret for a second coming here- rhey made our honeymoon special and memorable Read less

Water villas are very well equipped with all amenities and appliances that one can expect. Overall, as a world traveller, it exceeded my high expectations. I do look forward to get back.
