Jumeirah Vittaveli

Maldives, Indian Ocean

The hotel

It’s hard to return to everyday life after a stay at Jumeirah Vittaveli: the very definition of luxury. Your beach villa is entirely secluded, but still gives direct access to the beach or lagoon, putting you just a swim from one of South Malé Atoll’s healthiest house reefs and five shipwrecks. At your villa, every luxury awaits: an oversized L-shaped pool (you can swim from your bathroom, around your villa, to your terrace), semi-open rain showers, interactive TVs, even adjustable mood lighting. In fact, it will be impossible to holiday anywhere else after you’ve lazed on the daybeds enjoying cocktails at B4R, dined with your feet in the sand at Mu Beach Bar, woken early for yoga in the spa garden and sunk into the massage table in an overwater treatment room. And, with one of the Maldives’ largest kids' clubs and Ice Ice Maybe, the Maldives' first ice rink built from artificial 'Glice', who can disagree?

I stayed in the over water villas with private pool. it's hard to get around if you don't know how to ride a bike, as everything is far away. you will have to wait a long time to get a ride to the pool/restaurants/spa/etc.. You can't actually swim in the over water villa as the lagoon is not shallow and filled with coral. I usually had to go to the bar to swim in the beach, and it was a very small. The food did not taste great. I wouldn't pay the amount I did, as I didn't feel I got my money's worth. Half-board rate is not all inclusive, you actually just get 90$ to spend on a specific restaurant, so I usually had to pay extra if I wanted a full dinner meal. I tried MU bar and grill / pool bar / main buffet / and the french restaurant. i wouldn't eat at any of them again.. there's just so many great hotels in the maldives, I don't think I'd stay there again, I wouldn't recommend it to any of my friends either. Gym overlooked the water, food was yummy and breakfast had more options then I could try in the 2 nights we stayed. The bar has gorgeous nets facing the sunset for a glass of wine and a good book or a cuddle. Everyone said good morning and hello, smiles and letting us get a late checkout was easy as pie. Anise guest relations was warm and accommodating to our back and forth changes. Super experience! Recommend to all Read less

Amazing views, nice facilities, and good people. Events on the island are varied and had fun attending those. They offer various F&B venues. Each venue has its uniqueness and offers quality foods and services.

We are so glad we chose to stay at Jumeirah Vittaveli! We stayed for 9 days. Beautiful Island, wonderful resort with exceptional service! Our beautiful holiday starts from the moment we arrive at Male airport we received very warm welcome from the team and they guided us to the Jumeirah Vittaveli Arrival Lounge where refreshments we where served while we was waiting for the Luxury Catamaran transfer. Beautiful villa with the beach front and L-shape swimming pool,we loved the snorkeling every day, beautiful coral beach and swimming with the coral fish every day, every afternoon Sting ray & Jack fish feeding ,the main swimming pool ,we loved the bicycles so we was able to enjoy exploring the island . The highlight for us is the location of the bar restaurant B4R is amazing and we love every day spended watching the sunset ,deliciously prepared cocktails 👍🏼 We were thoroughly impressed by the wonderful service and the warm hospotality of the staff. We would like to say very special THANK YOU to the best chef Kaushik!!!! From the first day we notified that our son have allergies on dairy and the food needs to be prepared with special care and no traces ,we was introduced to the chef Kaushik. Every single morning he was there to greet us and prepare yummy breakfast and pancakes for Gabriel:) he came to every restaurant that we chose to have lunch or dinner to ensure that we were able to make safe choices and he always ask Gabriel what would he like to eat even if the food is not on the kids menu, Every dish was cooked using separate pans, chopping boards, utensils etc. to avoid cross contamination. The safety of our child is first, after we meet chef Kaushik we know it that we are in good hands and we can relax and enjoy our holiday! He done everything to make sure we no need to worries. Gabriel said he is the best chef and all the food and desserts were super yummy super delicious !!! We really enjoyed every single moment of our stay! We are very very thankful words are not enough! We would like to say thank you to Azleem,Azufar,Amir ,Valentina,Saalim,Krishna and Lark! We would really love to come back again!!! Read less
