My wife & I have just got back from our Honeymoon at Ozen. We stayed in a water villa for 1 week in the last week of April. The watervilla is the best option in my opinion if you can get one, however we are glad we never chose a pool villa. We had the most amazing time. The food is incredible at the main Palms buffet and the 2 other restaurants. The palms was our faviorite but the chinese also. The service is the best we have received and we have done a lot of travelling, the staff really do go out of there way and the rooms & facilities were superb also. The all inclusive package is incredible, we cannot fault ozen and would return in a heart beat. We were worried we may get bored in the Maldives but we wasnt at all, we could of happily stayed longer. The trips Ozen put on like snorkelling, fishing & sunset cruise were great and we loved the cocktail class and under water restaurant. All unforgettable experiences. Just want to leave a special mention to some of the staff that looked after us so well and hope it helps there efforts get recognised by there managers. (we took there names from there name badges) Restaurants & bars: Simah, Roger, Niyaz, Shihiam, Som, Lala Massage: Lena Coctail class: Rainjith If you are thinking about staying at Ozen, Book it. We wish this place the best and hope it stays around for a long time so we can return All the best Tom & Amelia Read less

Just coming to the end of our 2 week stay at OZEN By Atmosphere and WOW!! This is hands down the best holiday of our lifetime, pure relaxation and luxury combined. We stayed in a water villa with private pool so other than venturing out for food and excursions we had little reason to leave our sizeable oasis. Our room was stocked with premium drinks, snacks etc and refilled twice daily if required. The snorkelling and sea life was extraordinary with an abundance of colours, size and species all in close proximity. The food at all the restaurants was excellent and as good as we have experienced anywhere before. A special mention to the Master Chinese Chef ‘Zhou Baiyan’ who with his team cooks the most exquisite and tasteful food, he also personally walks the restaurant to talk with people and offered to cook us anything we desired if that was not necessarily on the menu. The underwater restaurant ‘Minus Six Meters or M6M’ was a dining treat that all should experience at least once, the food was top level excellence and watching the vast array of marine life while you eat is unbelievable. The whole team at OZEN By ATMOSPHERE deserves huge credit for the tough job of consistently delivering excellence 24 hours a day. Nothing is ever too much trouble and their attention to detail sets this new resort apart from many of the others in the Maldives! (Special shout out to Shark for taking care of us and organising our meal requests and excursions etc, the best compliment I can say is that he is never intrusive but always available when needed, Thank You S 👍🏻 Many say after such a positive experience that they will definitely return and in reality few ever do. We will definitely return one day for sure as bettering this experience will surely be very difficult or maybe impossible. So, until the next time we visit your beautiful Island and people! See you soon 🍾🥂🌝 Read less

We visited Ozen by Atmosphere for our honeymoon from May 2nd-13th. We were a bit nervous about the weather as many sites say it’s the beginning of monsoon season, however this seemed to be perfect timing to go- technically low season so a bit cheaper and quieter but weather was sun, sun and more sun! In terms of the resort, you are whisked from the airport to the resort in an air conditioned speedboat, when you arrive on the island you are greeted by the some of the staff who are very welcoming and friendly. Check in was very easy, your bags are taken directly to your room and your butler brings you on a quick tour of the resort by golf buggy before you head to the room. Our butler wasn’t hugely attentive and did forget to do most of things we requested which were very few things and quite minor so no big deal, we didn’t particularly need much as you book excursions etc yourself through the centres. We stayed in a wind villa over the water. The room was well sized, views of the sea and sunshine were lovely through many big windows and vantage points. There are a couple of viewing panes in the floor and we saw many different fish swim by. The bathroom is huge and again there are lots of windows and light. There is a twice daily housekeeping service so the room is clean and fresh regularly. Furugaan who attended our room left flower art made out of roses and leaves on the bed twice which was such a lovely touch. He was always very pleasant when we met him. One thing for me was I am a light sleeper and the air con was a little loud- nothing ear plugs didn’t fix though. The resort itself is very clean and is well maintained, nothing felt dated as it’s still a fairly new resort. There is some seaweed but it is cleaned off the beaches daily- a bit further out in the sea it’s good for snorkelling as you find lots of fish among the seaweed. The pool area has access to the sea and sunbeds are facing both the pool and sea so again enough choice. We mostly spoke with Muunu at the pool and another lovely lady who’s name we didn’t get- they were so friendly and attentive, as was everyone we met! The food is great in each of the restaurants, lots of choice and apart from the set menus for dinner the choices change each day. Again, the folks in both the palms and traditions were so attentive, anything you needed was provided and they often came over to chat and make sure we were enjoying ourselves. On the last night we had a honeymoon meal and all came out to say goodbye with a Bon voyage cake which was a lovely touch. The underwater restaurant was a great experience and the set menus were cooked to perfection. The folks there stopped for a chat and made sure it was a special experience. Amenities wise, again everyone was super friendly in the dive centre when booking excursions and getting snorkelling gear, and over with the crew looking after the non motorised water sports as well. Jaga in the gym was great, he put us through our paces and provided some coaching for us during our stay. Again hugely friendly and a pleasure to speak with. The gym was really well equipped and well air conditioned with great sea views! The Elena spa was also great- great views (recurring theme here- everywhere you look the view is gorgeous!) fantastic massages, lovely people. Very relaxing atmosphere and lots of choice for various types of treatments. Everyone was chatty and warm and really made the spa experience special. Overall fantastic trip, would definitely recommend, would go back in a heartbeat. Everyone you met smiled and said hello, you never had a chance to be bored but you were also never rushed. It was truly paradise. Read less

Summary: A special place, with special service from a great team that made us feel very special. Our first time to the Maldives and we were very lucky to have chosen the Ozen Atmosphere resort at Madhoo Island. We arrived in Male and the Ozen staff were waiting for us with our names on an iPad. We were whisked away to the awaiting speedboat, which was air conditioned and very comfortable. The journey was 40 minutes across the Indian ocean to get to the resort and that’s when it started to get special. We were greeted at the jetty by the reception staff to the sound of a conch shell. We were given a welcome drink in the beautiful lobby and then taken to our water villa on a golf buggy by our butler, Forty. He gave us a little tour of the island en-route and then showed us around the villa. Check-in was carried out in the room which was so lovely after a long journey, and the bags were magically already in the room. Forty had planned the week, making reservations at the Indian and Chinese restaurants and at M6M. He had also planned the two included excursions, the sunset dolphin cruise and the sunset fishing cruise. Forty was amazingly thoughtful and helpful throughout our stay. Our wind villa was sunrise side and the views were simply breath-taking, especially the colours of the water, which were mesmerizing. The villa itself was large and spacious with all the facilities you would expect. It was kept immaculately by Nashid, with lovely little touches like the towel art and petals on the bed and bubble bath being run. The main part of the island where the pool, bar and earth villas are located is stunning. It can be walked around in 30 mins. The pool area and associated beach was lovely and the bar staff (sorry we can’t remember all the names) were very attentive and would keep drinks flowing all day long. The list of drinks was endless the bar staff would make up whatever took your fancy. There were also snacks that could be ordered pool side. There was a DJ during the evenings and for a couple of hours at the weekend who played some great tunes. Food everywhere was superb. The Palms restaurant is the main buffet restaurant open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The food on offer was extensive with starters, salads, sushi and deserts all buffet style and mains orders a-la-carte from a menu. This was such a good idea as it reduces waste and also it then means that the mains food is cooked to order and served at the table. Being vegetarian, the buffet food was all clearly labelled and there was plenty of choice. During lunch there was always a live station which was either Indian or Chinese. First lunch time they had ‘wada pau’, which was so tasty and such a surprise. The chefs were on hand and would gladly make whatever you requested. All the chefs were so good but special mention to Sous Chef Latish for just being so helpful and for always smiling (loved his awesome masala omelettes). Similarly, all the waiting staff were amazing but special mention to Anu who just took service to another level. He was so attentive and looked after us so well. He would remember all the little details like knowing that we like fresh mango, which he would just bring out during breakfast, and the way he setup the table for us at the Indian with the flowers and candles. Just too good. Credit to Tyach for running such a good team. The Indian restaurant was a real treat and the food was delightful. Plenty of vegetarian choice and special thanks to Chef Hari Singh. The Chinese restaurant was equally good and again Chef Zhou Baiyan was very kind to have created a vegetarian menu for us. M6M was something else…a 5 course meal which is normally seafood based, but which had been altered for us to create a vegetarian menu which a choice of 2 dishes for each course. The underwater setting is fabulous. The food, with the accompanying wine was top quality and the service from the team was absolutely superb and Michelin star quality. Special mention has to go to Turana, who looked after is so well, and to Donata and her team for making our 25th Wedding Anniversary dinner there so very, very special. On our final evening there was a Gala dinner which was all set out on the beach with multiple foot stations creating all sorted of delicious food, with plenty of vegetarian options, as well as a live band, making it a magical evening. Included in the all-inclusive package are the vouchers for two treatments each at the Elena Spa. The choice of treatments is good and It’s so nice to just have them included. The setting of the spa, as you would expect, is beautiful and the treatments themselves were very good. Also included in the package are two excursions. We only did one of these which was the sunset dolphin cruise which was great and we did get to see dolphins. There are also twice daily snorkelling trips and again these were well organised. Would suggest going in We went in the morning, as recommended by Forty, as the visibility is better and there is more to see during the cooler morning before the afternoon sun. Overall, we can’t rate the resort and the staff highly enough. It’s small enough that the staff get to know you and we felt they provided very personalised and genuine service. The resort is stunning. The all-inclusive package is really extensive and very good. There is nothing to fault and our overall experience is outstanding. We would highly recommend staying at the Ozen and we are already looking forward to returning next year. Thank you Ozen Madhoo for making our holiday so perfect. Read less

My boyfriend and I flew out to Ozen on 1st March 2019 on an overnight flight from London and arrived on the morning of 2nd March. I had booked this holiday a year earlier as my retirement present, and were so looking forward to a quiet relaxed holiday in a beautiful resort. We were met at Male airport by a beautiful air conditioned speed boat which took us and another couple to the island. On arrival we were greeted by a reception committee including the resort manager and made to feel so welcome. We were given a glass of champagne and introduced to our butler, Thaig, who took us on a tour of the island by buggy and then to our water villa 208. It was simply stunning and bigger than I expected and I loved the glass panels in the floor to watch the fish – great at night when the under villa lights are on . Thaig also gave us an itinerary that he had made for us, which included a-la carte restaurant reservations, sunset fishing and a sunset dolphin cruise, and two reservations at the underwater restaurant, as we were there for 14 nights. He gave us his direct phone number should we need to change anything. The rooms are cleaned every day and beds changed every 2 or 3 days, and the mini bar is refilled twice a day First impressions of Ozen were simply breath-taking. We had dinner in the Palms restaurant on the first night and the steak I had was the best I have ever eaten. I had it 3 more times while we were there... We did not have a bad meal during our entire holiday. The underwater restaurant was superb, day and night are completely different atmospheres. The fish feeding at lunch time was incredible to watch, but the evening was more intimate and romantic. The food was absolutely excellent. The Indo Ceylon restaurant and the Peking produced the most amazing food, and all the waiters take the time to explain the menu The villas are equipped with everything you need, tea, coffee, snacks, wine, water, champagne, Bluetooth speaker and the deck with sun loungers and steps to the sea was perfect. We snorkelled a lot, and under the villas among the stilts was so much life, including sharks, rays, parrot fish, clown fish, everything you could want. We are both qualified divers and took our own kit with us, and used 3 of our 4 vouchers on diving and had Roman as our guide. Unfortunately we were there at the wrong time to see mantas or whalesharks but we had 3 fabulous dives and saw lots of sharks, eagle rays, the odd turtle and lots of moray eels. What impressed us with Dolphin base dive centre was we were asked to do our skills in the water before diving – mask clear and regulator retrieval, and a proper weight check. I have never been asked to demonstrate any skills anywhere ever before. They are a very professional centre, and I would happily recommend them to others. We also went on the dolphin snorkelling trip, and loved it so went for a second time on our last day We used our 4th voucher in the spa and had a lovely relaxing massage I also have to mention the ice cream hut on the island – oh it so good, we were frequent visitors. Its a lovely walk through the shady trees to find it At the end of our first week, we were offered a free upgrade to a two bedroomed earth villa with pool for the last four nights of our holiday, which we accepted. We moved to villa 508 which was beautiful, with a large L-shaped pool, opening out onto the beach. The two villas were so different, and both stunning. I loved the outdoor shower and the pool, but overall think I preferred the privacy of the water villa We had many a lovely lunch in the pool bar, with a great choice of food, and the lovely pool to use. Evenings in there were spent with many a cocktail, music in the background enjoying the balmy nights. On Friday nights the a-la carte restaurants are closed and all meals are taken in the Palms for gala night. We were given Maldivian sarongs to wear, and the food is cooked outside. There is live music and a great party atmosphere. The second gala night we attended was our last night. The staff knew and brought us a piece of cake with ‘Bon Voyage’ iced on the plate. That reduced me to tears. The staff on the island are fantastic, and they make the island the success it is. They are not intrusive, but always nearby, and nothing is too much trouble. The indulgence all inclusive is exactly that- nothing to pay except a couple of additional trips. I can honestly say this was the best holiday I have ever had, and we were very sad to leave, waved off by the staff on the jetty. Thank you Ozen, you are the jewel in the Maldivian sea, and one day we hope to return to you Read less
