We could contact him at every time and with everything and he took care for our wishes immediately. Furthermore we were asked for our well-being and if anything could be improve. Such an amazing service is unusually good. The hotel is located directly at the beach - this could not be better. The food was very tasty and nothing was missed. We will definitely come back! Lovely stay in Mauritius. We had a superior sea view room, the rooms was big and very nice, kept very clean and tidy by our cleaner... but it was always cold. If you turned your air con off, your room was full of condensation and the floor was like a skating rink, if you kept it on, it was so cold, not a happy medium. Otherwise would have been perfect. The food was great, lovely curries, I am a fussy eater, but loved the food. The Italian restaurant very good too. They change the menu each day too in both restaurants, always a good choice, we found all the staff extremely helpful, friendly. We did struggle getting sun beds, didn’t seem to be enough, I prefer the pool, but most days at 8am, when we went for breakfast the beds had gone, so we used the beach a lot, at the very end, near our room. You have to wear shoes on the beach the whole time, so much coral and stones, if you walk to the left of the beach, way past the hotel, lovely and sandy, a bit nicer. We booked the boys trip with mccloud (Apollon boat tours) lovely man, so friendly. The other guy Chris, was very pushy and ran apollon down.. we don’t like that... so booked with mccloud, you can find him wandering up and down, and near the beach bar. I messaged him via FB and he met us and we booked, 3000 each - £80each. We booked Vicky’s taxis, you can find him on FB Vicky’s Mauritius tours... another great guy, we took us to all the places we wanted to go, including swimming with wild dolphins... amazing, he charged us 2700 for the day £75 for both of us. There was no entertainment in the evenings, nothing.... we the evenings were a bit boring. They offer meals on the beach... but very expensive. The place was hit by a cyclone, not much. Hasnt been cleared up yet, which is a shame, as no beach restaurant now, and all the stairs to the beach are closed off, the other hotels all along the beach look ok, only the Ambre seemed to have damage. Lots of sandbags abandoned on the beach... I’m sure these could have been cleaned up a bit, so hence the 4 stars, and not 5. Read less

Hello, this was our first time on Mauritius island and I must say that holiday there was purely awesome. From the part thanks to Ambre resort, which is a really great place to stay. Rooms were fresh and clean, every food was fresh, light and delicious and the behavior of employees was really nice. We met a nice guy named Divesh who cleaned our room every day (545). He was really friendly, everybody there was really friendly. We enjoyed our holiday in a great deal. When you need anything, hotel employees don't hesitate to assist you. The island itself is very nice, there are many places to see. We had bought a car for four days and traveled to almost every important place. The most beautiful time was spent with lions in Casela park, I can recommend a visit there. Thank you for everything again. Petr Kolacek & Zuzka Mikova Read less

We had our honeymoon at the hotel and every bit of it was amazing. The hotel was beautiful and warm. The staff was very very warm and welcoming. In particular Davina Satoni from the spa, she did an amazing job as well as Luciano from Resto La Plage, his service was excellent. We also loved the main restaurant, the food was the best.
