Where is it

Located in Poste de Flacq on the pristine Belle Mare Beach on the east coast of Mauritius. Transfer time from Mauritius International Airport: Approximately 1 hour 15 minutes. Please note that if taking a seat in coach this may be longer depending on how many hotel stops are en route.

Hotel information

278 rooms, suites and villas. All with private balcony/terrace, sitting area, air-conditioning, satellite TV, telephone, complimentary WiFi, Mac mini entertainment system and iPod docking station, mini-bar*, safe and hairdryer. Prestige Rooms sleep maximum 3 adults or 2 adults and 1 child.

All Inclusive option: Includes full buffet breakfast at the main restaurant La Citronnelle or Continental breakfast at Deer Hunter or Continental takeaway breakfast pack (order to be placed 24 hours in advance). Villa guests may also eat breakfast in villa. La Kaze restaurant for lunch with a daily live buffet or Deer Hunter with a special lunch menu or Le Swing with a selected dishes. La Citronnelle for dinner with a huge buffet (including theme evening per week) or Deer Hunter restaurant. One 3-course dinner once per stay of 7 nights at the à la carte restaurants, La Spiaggia or Deer Hunter (selected wine and beverages included, supplements on selected items). Guests may dine in the hotel's à la carte restaurants at other times with a food credit. Afternoon tea at La Kaze Beach Restaurant. A large variety of premium branded spirits, beers, large selection of fresh drinks, soft drinks, hot drinks and water. Unlimited access to cocktails & Constance signature drinks menu, International wine list, selected menu of sparkling wines, plus complimentary sparkling wine during Happy Hour at Blu Bar. Mini-bar with selected wine, beers, soft drinks, water and confectionary (refilled once per day). Snorkelling equipment at the boat house and guided snorkelling and glass bottom boat excursions (book 24 hours in advance through the boat house). Fitness centre, indoor games, non-motorized water sports plus water-skiing and wakeboarding (excluding lessons). 2 championship 18-hole golf courses with free green fees and golf cart. 

Please note: All Inclusive benefits start from 12:00pm on your day of arrival and end at 3:00pm on your day of departure. Afternoon tea and drinks are available until departure from the resort (at a supplement). 

Half Board Includes: buffet breakfast and buffet dinner at La Citronelle Restaurant or set menu dinner at Deer Hunter. Guests can also enjoy dinner at La Spiaggia and Blue Penny Cellar with a meal credit.

Full Board Option: includes buffet breakfast at La Citronelle, lunch at La Kaze (buffet) or Deer Hunter (set menu) or Le Swing (selected dishes), buffet dinner at La Citronelle or set menu at Deer Hunter. Guests can also enjoy dinner at La Spiaggia and Blue Penny Cellar with a meal credit.

Junior Suites are more spacious, sleeping maximum 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children.

Beachfront Junior Suites have a dining area and are located a stone's throw from the beach, sleeping maximum 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children.

2-Bedroom Pool Villas with a separate lounge, private pool and personal butler, sleeping maximum 4 adults and 2 children plus 1 infant or 2 adults and 4 children plus 1 infant. 

3-Bedroom Pool Villas (on request) sleep maximum 6 adults and 3 children plus 2 infants.

I requested a refund on 14 May 2020 and the reservation agent Anais Kisnorbo replied on the same day, that my request has been sent to your accounts for processing and the necessary will be done accordingly.  On 8 June 2020, having not received any refund, I sent you another email inquiring about the refund and this time, stated that your colleague from the account department will contact me.  Fair enough, your colleague, Ben Ramsamy asked for my bank details so that he may process the refund.So from the 14 May 2020 till the 8 June 2020, nothing has been done concerning my refund?  It is only when I did not receive any refund and inquired again, that you then ask me for my bank details? Had i not inquired, I would still be waitinf. To add insult to injury, even though I have sent my bank details since the 8 June 2020.  As of today, 24 June 2020, I have still not received any refund. I am disappointed and angry by the mediocre level of service. Irrespective of the situation, a hotel like Constance Belle Mare which is a 5 stars hotel, I believe should have a higher standard of service and customer and take its responsibility in fulfilling its obligation  . I would advise people to consider well before booking this hotel if you do not want to have such hassle in the future. A disappointed and angry client. Read less

Amazing hotel ambient with very nice beach, rooms were top clean, I also enjoyed food and very agreable and friendly service from great local people who always smile :) special thanks to Renooka Dursany, Moideen Amjad, Rajen Seewsagur Boojhawun,Atish, Rishi, Oumesh, Roy, Potie Jean Pascal Ivan ;) Hope to see you guys again!

Since 2007 we have returned to the Belle Mare Plage on eight occasions. In that time we have travelled to other resorts in Mauritius, as well as many others around the world. We are convinced that returning to this resort is always the right choice; we have persuaded others to visit and, they in turn, have told us they feel the same way. Last year we spoke with two brothers, who have been visiting the Belle Mare Plage, with their respective families, for several years. With some regret they stated that they would not be returning this year as their children were seeking more adventure. They qualified their regret by saying that, having travelled all across the world, they hadn't yet found anywhere better. We whole-heartedly concur. Let us hope that the world will soon be able to put these dark times behind us all so that we are able take up our booking and return again this September. Barbara & Rod Hall Read less
