The hotel

This friendly hotel sits in lush tropical gardens surrounded by natural beauty and is named after the unique Coco de Mer palm tree, found in abundance here. With renovations at the end of 2017 to enhance the hotel's accommodation, guests can relax in the spacious chalet-style rooms, some of which are sea-facing with private terraces. The beautiful swimming pool overlooks the ocean and the jetty provides a romantic spot for sipping cocktails whilst experiencing a dream sunset. For experiencing other natural wonders of Praslin, the hotel has its own nature trail with guided walks — remember to look out for brightly coloured birds; the black parrot, Madagascar fody and Indian myna bird are regularly seen in the trees, while tropical fruit bats fly high above the ground from sunset until dawn. The Black Parrot Suites is the hotel's adults-only section with its own swimming pool.

This is a lovely resort with an amazing sun deck which makes for a memorable sunset next to the infinity pool! The food is excellent, with a lot of variety in the half board plan. The staff is most friendly, worth a special mention. Would love to visit again.

We went for our honeymoon and stayed for 3 nights. The hotel is simply amazing. Our room faced the beach, there are deck chairs and hammocks outside where you can just lie down and read a book. The room was nice too. There is a lot to do within the hotel if you are looking to just relax. There are multiples places you can enter the beach, its a quiet beach with no waves coming in due to the shallow reef which is good for solo snorkeling where you can just pick up snorkels available at the hotel. There are 2 pool areas which are very nice and relaxing. The food is very good. The only drawback is which we faced in all of seychelles is the lack of salt and spice in the food. But if you like it a little bland then you will enjoy the food. There are a lot of options available, even for a vegetarian. Restaurants close by 10.00pm so be sure to eat early as there is no in room dining post that. I suggest to make travel arrangements in and out of the hotel, the roads are quite steep, would not recommend to rent a car and drive around on this island. Though car and bikes can be rented at the hotel. It was overall a very relaxing stay. Read less

Of all the places we've been to in Seychelles (three islands covered), we enjoyed this one the best. It's on the quiet side, you can swim regardless of the tide and the cooks and staff were great. When deciding for one place to stay longer, this will be it! Can't wait to get back to their octopus curry - and I've tried a few! - For those of you… Read more

When deciding for one place to stay longer, this will be it!
