We have spent part of our honeymoon here and I have to point out that the staff has been more than accommodating and very friendly. NINDU took care of us and our comfort and nothing left his attention. And this was probably the highlight. The hotel itself is not what we expected. While the staff is more than nice and it is in no way in their power to change the hotel itself. The concept is a bit dated, and does not provide any charm or reference to Sri Lanka (except for some themed evenings). We have stayed at other cinnamon beys and were just expecting more, particularly for the 5 star rating they advertise. The normal rooms were not in good shape anymore. And after some back and forth we were able to stay the upgraded rooms, which were more than adequate and we can really recommend those. For a few days one can stay here, and the charming staff (as stated before) and helpful staff are more than ambitious to make the best out of this hotel. Read less

Cinnamon hotels are quite good usually and we had high hopes... but the the bathroom ceiling leaked and the food was uninteresting and bland to say the least. the surrounding and the beach was very nice.

Special thanks to Mike for his personaly attending us and miss Sinkani for bringing comforts to us. We enjoyed food and service. Wifi is slow. We had a special breakfast coz we were staying at luxury room. We enjoyed high tea and lounge is very comfortable and airconditioned. Special attention is provided at break fast also as staff visited us and ask about good taste and our stay experience. Our little kid enjoyed kids pool and kids play area. Well kept hotel and clean. Highlight of hotel are the views from room and lounge view in the evening time. Read less
