A true hidden gem. Brief stay but enjoyed a full board visit. Upgraded to a beach front hut. Very nice rooms. Well equipped. You have a nice clean beach, large pools, a gym, kids play area etc. Huge selection at buffet meals. You can also go all inclusive! Staff and service were great. I will definitely come back for longer!

It's a fantastic restaurant with buffet style service for all three meals of the day. The spread on offer is fantastic and option available for any age group requirement if you are heading for a meal at Dolphin. Example if you need a vegetarian food in buffet style restaurant it's available at any given meal period. Food spread is amazing I could… Read more

Would like to return again with my family for a fantastic relax time in this restaurant soon. Read less

We stayed at the Club Hotel Dolphin staying for four weeks on this our thirty something time! We feel like we are being in our second home when we are here. Some guests ask us why do we keep returning but after a few days they themselves they say to us that they can see why. The staff can’t do enough for you and all the staff from the gardeners up to the executive staff always say hello and are glad to have a chat. The occupancy was lower than usual for September due to the Easter attacks but it was good to see many of the repeat guests returning. At no time did we feel unsafe either in the hotel itself or while out and about. If any one is doubtful about visiting here there is no need to worry. We still enjoyed the same high level of service and good quality food as always in the restaurants and snack bars.We had breakfast and lunch in the Sands restaurant and occasionally lunch in the snack bar adjacent to the quiet pool. There is always plenty of choice at all meal times. We dined each evening in the Al a Carte restaurant the Waves where your choice from the menu is cooked to order. You can observe the chefs cooking whilst enjoying a drink.Wine is included in the All Inclusive package during lunch and dinner. The Sea Food market is held three evenings per week which is chargeable but well worth it as you select your choice of fish which is then cooked for you.Another food venue is the Mango Village set in a village setting within the grounds of the hotel which again is chargeable for a small fee where they cook and serve traditional Sri Lankan dishes. Entertainment is held during the evenings ranging from live music ,culture shows, shows performed by the animation team in the Anchor theatre ,again situated in the hotel grounds and also bingo. We were fortunate to be there for the performance of the Stars of the Dolphin evening. This was held outside by the quiet pool which consisted of a four course meal ,drinks and several performances by some of the staff which were brilliant in their performance.Everyone thoroughly enjoyed this evening . The two pools were attended by the pool attendants who would provide you with sun beds towels and parasols. Our choice of room was a villa which was kept spotlessly clean by our team of room boys who also amused us with the displays of towel art left on our beds. There is good WiFi coverage throughout the hotel and grounds. A visit to the Spa is a must where you can have a relaxing massage from a wide choice of treatments. We are already looking forward to our next visit as it is so nice to see all the staff (who we count as our friends) and the many repeaters of all nationalities who like us just keep coming back. The hotel grows on you, we were in a superior sea view room which was always cleaned to a high standard. The food is very good in all of the outlets I would recommend a visit to mango tree village where you can sample some more traditional dishes. We went to the smaller pool most days you will see a few dogs roaming about but there not a problem. We went on a couple of trips with walkers I would recommend them they might be a bit more expensive then the people selling trips on or near the beach but you know that your safe and secure also we were escorted into and around the places we visited that's not the case with cheaper trips. The one thing that puts the cherry on the top of this holiday is the staff always friendly and helpful a special mention to Ramo a waiter in the main restaurant and in mango village. Read less
