Having stayed at the Blue Water in September 19, we enjoyed the facilities and services so much that we returned in November 19. This is something we very rarely do as we travel 4/5 times a year but never return to same place in one year. From check in to check out the hotel is like a second home, a warm welcome from all the staff. We booked the Club suite again and cannot fault the cleanliness and lovely fresh flowers were a surprise. Ajith, our butler was always there and prepared to help us when needed, he never complained and always willing to help. Thank you Ajith for everything you did for us. Not only was Ajith our butler, he was also a waiter in the Nautilus and a true gentleman at all times. The pool attendants were always ready to serve fresh towels and prepare your sunlounger were needed. Thank you boys, you are a great team and deserve the recognition. Sorry I cannot remember all your names. The pool bar staff were amazing, my regular coffee served at usual time. Lunch here was also good and a wide selection to choose from on the All inclusive menu. Services always provided with a smile. Thank you. The Porthole bar on an evening was relaxing and a good time to chat with staff and attempt to learn their language. Thank you lads as we had some laughs with having nick names for many of you. (Trolly Dolly, Toothpick, Moneybags, Lemongin and Sweetpea) You know who you are so thank you lads for the super company. The Nautilus was again amazing with a good all inclusive club suite menu as well as a chargeable menu. The seafood sizzler was once again our favourite of dishes. Ajith was our waiter and service exceptional. Some food orders may take a little longer if you have special dietary requirements as they are not on the usual menu, so it's a case of being patient with the staff as they work to serve you. The staff in the Nautilus go out of there way to ensure that you enjoy your meal. We had cooking lessons and lots of helpful information on how to make a selection of curry dishes. Thank you no1 and 2 chef. It was a great cookery class. The Admiral dining area provided a high selection of buffet food and again, staff only too pleased to help you find something to eat that suits your palette. Thank you to the boys who made my freshly cooked eggs each morning, always served with a smile. I used the spa and received the most amazing and relaxing foot massage ever from the lovely Novi. Wanted to bring you home with me. A special thank you to all the staff behind the scenes who prepare and cook the delicious meals on offer, no one can go hungry here that's for sure. Hope to see you all next year. Finally, a big thank you to all those whose name I remembered. Ajith, Aruna, Dinithi, Dasun, Suwidy, Dulip, Anushki, Sumith, Maneesha Read less

We returned to the hotel after twenty years as we had such wonderful memories and we were not disappointed the hotel was everything we remembered and more We arrived late at night and had a very quick check in and were taken to our rooms we had club rooms which are on the far side of the hotel wonderful views over the beach grass and pool. The room was beautiful and very well equipped with everything you need. Big room and lovely veranda. Mini bar whirlpool bath and separate shower. We ate in the hotel every night it is a large buffet with something for everyone and one night we tried the speciality restaurant which was absolutely wonderful The hotel is on the beach and there is a gate onto the beach. We went to swim one day in the sea and walked along but not necessarily a beach to sit on for long as lots of locals wonder up and down We watch the fisherman. Bring in nets which was lovely to watch and the elephant come down the beach !! At night had a drink in bar and hotel put on some entertainment in the evening I felt more still needed to be done as very little atmosphere However saying that we made our own The staff are lovely and nothing is too much trouble The hotel has had lots of refurbishment and some of the rooms and veranda are still been done. This was a wonderful holiday and gorgeous hotel we just loved it and it was so relaxing !! The pool area and public area are well kept and I would highly recommend this hotel Read less

Great price point. Large, well thought out rooms. Lovely staff, especially the Aruna and Kapile at the Porthole Bar. The ocean is so close you can see and hear it at night, there is an elephant that walks the sand every day, its away from the hustle of Colombo. Highly recommended
