More about Abu Dhabi

Tranquil beaches, check. Vibrant city life, check. Wall-to-wall sunshine, check. Yes, this vast emirate carries the luxury of Dubai, but glamour here sits happily alongside traditional values of hospitality and respect. Explore the incredible Al Maqaa Fort and Grand Mosque. Take a kayak tour through the mangroves. Or enjoy a leisurely round of golf on a Championship course. You’ll find culture and style galore.

It’s still undergoing construction, but this cultural hub located just 500m off Abu Dhabi’s coast is set to house seven fascinating districts, containing everything from sports and beachfront attractions to dining and performing arts. With new openings to include its very own Guggenheim gallery and Abu Dhabi’s answer to the Louvre, watch out culture vultures; this is set to be a world-class attraction.

Saadiyat Island

As host of the annual Formula 1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, Yas Island caters to anyone who has a need for speed. Drive along the Yas racing track circuit at Ferrari World. Get the heart pumping on Formula Rosso – the world’s fastest rollercoaster. Fancy something more relaxed? Tee up at the 18-hole championships Yas Links Golf Course. Or enjoy stylish dining on the marina

Yas Marina

Have a desert experience with a twist. Try your hand at sand skiing. Liwa Oasis on the edges of the Empty Quarter has some of the world’s largest dunes, so prepare for an exhilarating experience sashaying down the desert slopes. Discover the ancient and much loved traditional sport of falconry at one of our desert retreats. Alternatively, get a 4x4 for some dune bashing.
