Qasr Al Sarab Desert Resort by Anantara

Abu Dhabi, Middle East

The hotel

An oasis of luxury spectacularly located in the beginning of the Empty Quarter, the world’s largest uninterrupted sand desert. Magical doesn’t even begin to describe the Anantara Qasr Al Sarab Desert Resort, there’s an almost mystical quality to it, making it a superb choice for that special occasion – a honeymoon perhaps or a special anniversary? Sun soaked dunes provide a dramatic backdrop, admire them from the sun deck that surrounds the swimming pool. Like the bedouin, camel riding is the way to explore. Alternatively, hop on-board a 4x4 for a spot of dune driving or find your way round by bike. The amenities at the Anantara Qasr Al Sarab Desert Resort are as mind-blowing as the destination itself. There is everything you could possibly want for an indulgent week or two. For a start, the suites and rooms are considered amongst the finest in Abu Dhabi, featuring rich interiors and breathtaking desert views. A state-of-the-art fitness centre, tennis courts and the Anantara Spa await you also and, if you’ve children with you, they’ll love their very club, one aimed at younger kids, the other specifically for teens. There are four dining venues in total, each one offering an extensive range of Middle Eastern dishes as well as gastronomic experiences from around the globe – reserve yourself a table and enjoy!

Now I kno why Lieutenant officer of intelligence Thomas Edward Lawrence loved the very special people and the Empty Quarter all the way to Aqaba. Have seen & done it all now. I can feel the presence of Larry, his Bedoin warrior brothers and the feckless Ottoman Empire & soldiers who dared to wrest control of these ancestral lands. But not surprising as any man (&woman) will fight for their land, no matter the oppressor or odds. And this epic facility, top professional staff, perfect pool, exceptional dining, and of course the landscape makes this special place one of the must see and be a bucket list places on the entire earth! See all our friends very soon! Wife was chillax, and that makes BoomBoom happy! Love to all! Read less

An amazing resort in a beautiful location. We had booked a villa but were upgraded to the Royal Pavilions which were superb. Small private pool, day bed, great view. We chose in room dining which was delicious and very reasonably priced. Staff were great, wish we could have stayed longer.

Anais helpful for check in and tell about hotel and hotel activity. I asked history Qasr Al Sarab Mavis she explaining and taking me to villa show a wonderful room. I had ordered food from room service Spaghetti prawn garlic was yummy and I found a simple menu but this very testy “avocado toast on top chili sundries and fresh vegetables” I recommend. The view at sunset was just gorgeous. I had dinner at “Sand. Fire. Salt.” Food was amazing I love Braised beef short ribs chef explain how to cook beef by Sous Vide for 16 hrs. And served with sea salt from 3 different country Iceland, Netherland and Indonesia Bali, So for me I recommend from Bali. lobster soup was amazing too. Great welcome a new day by sunrise At 5.45 am staff picking up from villa to view point to see the sunrise i was standing with super view that can see 360’ around hotel. This is probably my favorite place in UAE everything was perfect The staff are aways please and helpful from check in to check out, The villa gorgeous, The restaurant food top quality and incredible “ This means a true 5 stars hotel” Read less

My husband and I came for a staycation from Dubai having stayed once before for our honeymoon in 2016. We knew we loved QAS already but enjoyed it even more this time. We paid for an upgrade to the Royal Villas so we spent one night in the terrace room and another in the Royal villas. Both are beautiful. The terrace room has a serenity that cannot be described. The Royal Villas are stunning and the feeling of being secluded makes it worth every fil. What made our stay however was the warmth of the staff. From Mavis who checked us in to Adam who upgraded us and waited even after his shift had finished to check us out, we were made to feel welcome. The food at Suhail’s and Ghadeer was beautiful and the star of the show is of course the backdrop of the Arabian desert. If you are looking for a romantic trip away from modern life, book at least two nights here! Read less
