Where is it

Situated along the picturesque Jumeirah Beach Residence (JBR) area, which is a popular waterfront community in Dubai, known for its stunning beachfront views, upscale shopping, dining options and vibrant atmosphere. The beach is just across the road. 30 minutes away from the centre of Dubai. Transfer time from Dubai International Airport: 45 minutes.

301 newly renovated rooms. All with balcony/terrace, air-conditioning, satellite TV, WiFi access, tea/coffee maker, mini-bar*, safe, iron and board, bathrobes and hairdryer. Sea View Rooms with Balcony have twin beds plus 1 extra bed, sleeping maximum 3 adults, or 2 adults and 1 child.


Half Board option: includes breakfast and dinner at the all-day dining restaurant Horizon (buffet) only. 

Half Board Dine Around option: includes breakfast served at Horizon, plus dinner served in Horizon, Fumo (open for dinner seasonally), Rosso, Benihana and JB's. Dinner is served with 1 house alcoholic drink, or 2 soft drinks.  

Full Board option: includes breakfast at Horizon (buffet), lunch at Rosso or Pool Deck, and dinner at the Horizon (buffet). 

Full Board Dine Around option: includes breakfast served at Horizon (buffet), lunch served at Horizon (buffet), Rosso, Pool Deck, plus dinner served in Horizon (buffet), Fumo (open for dinner seasonally), Rosso,  Benihana and JB's. Dinner is served with 1 house alcoholic drink, or 2 soft drinks. 

All Inclusive option: includes breakfast at Horizon (buffet), lunch at Rosso or Pool Deck, and dinner at Horizon (buffet), with selected soft drinks and alcoholic beverages. 

All Inclusive Dine Around option: includes the same meal options as Full Board dine around, plus selected unlimited drinks served in the mentioned restaurants as well as Rosso Terrace and Pool Deck, with alcoholic beverages available from 12:00pm to 11:00pm. 

Sea Front View Room with Balcony rooms have 2 double beds or 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 3 adults, or 2 adults and 1 child.

Sea View Family Room with Balcony rooms have 1 king-size bed and a sofa bed, sleeping a maximum 3 adults and 1 child, or 2 adults and 2 children.

Sea Front View Family Room with Balcony rooms have 1 king-size bed and a sofa bed, sleeping a maximum 3 adults and 1 child, or 2 adults and 2 children.

Stayed here in a seafront family room (2 adults and 2 girls aged 4 & 7). It was just perfect. The room was setup so well for a family - loads of space to store the suitcases without us tripping over them. Great view of the Ain wheel from our balcony. Two lovely heated pools. They work tirelessly to ensure you are enjoying your stay. The hotel made an extra effort for our celebrations of which we were extremely grateful. We had the dine around option which I would thoroughly recommend. JB’s which is one of the associated restaurants is amazing the manager and head chef are so friendly and the food was fantastic, it has a great vibe for all the family. My only small negative is the mattresses are extremely hard and uncomfortable but this could be my personal choice. I would definitely recommend this hotel. Read less

Just back from a great stay the Amwaj Rotana. Having previously stayed at a very nice hotel on the Palm I was initially sceptical about trying somewhere new but I had nothing to worry about. We travelled as a family, two adults and two kids aged 2 and 6. Location - I chose this hotel for the location. It’s right near to the beach, you can also walk to the marina and to Blue Water and there are lots of shops and restaurants along the beachfront. So nice to be able to do stuff in the evening after dinner etc. Hard to beat the location in my opinion. Always taxis around too right outside should you ever need one plus they do a free shuttle to Mall of the Emirates if needed. Dining - Great choice of dining. We tried all the restaurants and really enjoyed them, especially the Asian restaurant. We had the half board package which included the Dine Around options in the restaurants which included a drink too. You can also choose to have either lunch or dinner. The daily Horizon buffet providing breakfast, lunch and dinner was also brilliant and always had some fantastic choices on offer. Staff always extremely fun with the kids and made dining with children a pleasure! Rooms - we had a partial sea view room which was perfect for us as we were often rarely in the room. Rooms are good size and cleaned really well. Fresh water was given daily as well as tea/coffee facilities. Not a huge amount of English tv channels but you can access internet through the TV and log into whatever accounts you might want to use, should this be of use. Spa/gym - one of the best hotel gyms I have used. Lots of equipment and space to really do a good workout all with an amazing view out over the sea. My husband and I both had a Balinese massage which was amazing. Would definitely recommend for a good stretch/relax. Pool - both a main pool and a kids pool. Perfect depth for the little ones. Staff always on hand to help with beds etc and never a fight for a sunbed! And we went in the school holidays! Kids club - my 6 year old really wanted to use the kids club (no arguments from me) so he went for an hour while we got ready for dinner. He had a great time while there and wanted to keep going back! Staff - left this to last as they really were the stars of the show. Too many to name but a few that really stuck out; Kamal from the Horizon restaurant, always so helpful and did he best to keep my hangry 2 year old happy; Moh Moh from Rossi restaurant; Jude from concierge; Raj from Horizon, Ashuk from around the hotel and finally Sujin from the pool who was always so helpful and so engaging with the kids. The hotel really does have some amazing people. My only very small gripe (and I mean small) was that the lifts can get busy at peak times however I have experienced this as many other hotels so just be preferred to wait maybe a few mins at max and you will be fine. Overall, a great hotel for families, we will definitely be back. Thank you Amwaj Rotana for a great holiday. Read less

Chefs on hand to flag non gluten food and cook special food for us. The hotel is worth its money, we have no complaints at all. Even during dinner, my mother-in-law became ill; all the staff took very good care of my mother-in-law. Special thanks to Mr. Abbas Moubarak (Duty Manager), he behaved himself very professionally during this incident
