The hotel

The Jumeirah Mina A'Salam, meaning 'harbour of peace', forms the gateway to Madinat Jumeirah - The Arabian Resort of Dubai. Designed as a tribute to Dubai's sea-faring past, it is a harbourside hotel from which waterways and walkways extend to all parts of the complex including nine restaurants and bars, the award-winning Talise Spa and a traditional-style Souk Madinat Jumeirah featuring 75 boutique shops, bars and cafés. Traditional Middle Eastern style and luxurious modernity create a haven of Arabian warmth, and the spacious guest rooms are beautifully furnished with private balconies overlooking the sea.

Where is it

Situated in the Jumeirah area conveniently located for access to Dubai Media City, Dubai Internet City, the Palm Jumeirah and Dubai Marina. Madinat Jumeirah is adjacent to the Burj Al Arab, Wild Wadi Waterpark™ and Jumeirah Beach Hotel, and is 10-minutes by car to the nearest shopping mall with complimentary shuttle bus service. At the heart of the resort is the Souk Madinat Jumeirah – a traditional Arabic retail and dining experience. Transfer time from Dubai International Airport: 35 minutes.

Hotel information

292 rooms, all with balconies and follow an Arabian theme. Rooms have 1 king-size bed or twin beds (subject to availability) and a sofa bed (120cm x 180cm), sleeping maximum 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children (under 12 years). Arabian Deluxe Rooms feature partial views towards the ocean and the Burj Al Arab Jumeirah.


Half Board option: includes buffet breakfast at your property, plus a choice of lunch or dinner which is available on a dine-around basis at a selection of over 40 restaurants within the Jumeirah resorts: Madinat Jumeirah, Jumeirah Creekside Hotel, Jumeirah Emirates Towers and Jumeirah Zabeel Saray. Transport is not included. Please note: some restaurants require a supplement fee.

Lagoon Deluxe Rooms have lagoon views from a private balcony.

Ocean Deluxe Rooms have views of the Arabian Gulf through the panoramic windows in the living room.

Arabian Club Rooms have resort views and include unlimited access to the Amal Lounge.

Ocean Club Rooms include unlimited access to the Amal Lounge.

1-Bedroom Ocean Suites have a generous lounge and dining area and an opulent marble bathroom with a separate dressing area.

An Ocean Premier Suite is also available, with ocean or Gulf views.

Having recently returned to the hotel for a number of days late into my pregnancy, I was made to feel extremely comfortable through reassurance, attentiveness and 5 star service. Updated hotel review: I've been meaning to share my thoughts on this hotel since my last visit. Our family has been regular guests at this hotel for several years, often bringing along extended family members such as grandparents and cousins. The hotel itself and its amenities are fantastic, and we always felt secure during our stays. However, I have noticed that it has become more crowded in recent years. Unfortunately, I must address a decline in the level of service and customer treatment. Firstly, when we requested a special arrangement for a specific date, something that had been accommodated in the past, this was overlooked during our last two visits. This, however, is not the main reason for my dissatisfaction. Secondly, when our flight was delayed, resulting in an extra night's stay, our experience was less than satisfactory. Despite notifying the hotel in advance due to the flight delay, we were informed that our room was not available for the extension. Instead, we were provided with a small alternative room for the daytime. We clarified that since we had a half-board arrangement, it would remain the same for the extension, to which we were initially told 'yes'. Consequently, we enjoyed our day, had some meals (paying for some, parts on the half-board). Upon check-out, the manager insisted that we pay for an additional dinner under the half-board plan, despite our prior confirmation. His demeanor was unpleasant, which understandably upset my husband. This added stress to an already challenging situation with the flight delay. The issue here is not the charge, it is a tone and we told otherwise initially (and overall booking arrangement that were were their for nearly 2 weeks) Sadly, we haven't returned to this hotel for almost two years now. Whenever I think about Dubai, the memory of this poor treatment dampens my enthusiasm to book a stay. It's disheartening that a simple dinner charge could outweigh the significant amount we spent on accommodations and other services at the hotel. It's a shame that customer service standards have declined. Customers deserve better treatment. Read less

Best service ever, Chindy and Cindy are very helpful and friendly. And the lobby as well so cozy , the pastries verry yummy ,its so recomended guys to try the experience dessert the best in dubai , The drinks its so refreshed and for sure they have execelent cookies and service .
