The hotel

A gem of a hotel, the spectacular Ritz-Carlton, Dubai has a wealth of amenities. Guests can enjoy a total of six swimming pools, including two exclusively for children (happily set in the shade!) and one exclusively for adults. There’s a choice of rooms and suites, including Club rooms with access to the Club Lounge and extra benefits, all furnished to impeccably high standards, with private balconies facing the Arabian Gulf. Its Italian restaurant Splendido is something of a local legend, and there is also a contemporary Asian restaurant Blue Jade and a sophisticated lounge offering unique flavour combinations from around Asia! All of this, plus Amaseena, their magical tented Bedouin village, set right beside the sea and serving traditional regional specialities, to be enjoyed whilst listening to the haunting background strains of the oud and the tabla. As all first-class hotels in Dubai do, this hotel overlooks its own stretch of private beach, pristine white sands lapped gently by azure waters. A wonderful place to relax, topping up your tan perhaps, indulging in a variety of water sports or simply reading that book you’ve been wanting to for ages now! We were so pampered by veryone there that it was almost unbelievable...especially for my little 4 year old daughter. They built a new wing since last time we were there and now the hotel looks very big! We were very impressed with the breakfast. If you have heard my comments you will know that I have had issues with a number of SPG properties save for Sheraton Hong Kong. I arrived at about 2130 exhausted and was I greeted by a friendly face Anya. Then Ariel gave me a good description of the room all smiling. Then the next morning I went to the gym and super nice Ms Kenya Catherine was brilliant and the PT said I am happy to see you tomorrow. Then the ladies at the Spa Alejandra Ms Venezuela and Ms South Africa Shelby was very helpful in answering my question. They are all in the attached photo and please note that genuine smiles. My positive experiences continued with what I will deem as the highlight of my stay. As I was very happy with such excellent customer service from so many different cultures I ordered room service. On the other hand of the phone the gentleman said it’s so nice to hear a cheery voice in the morning. When my meal this gentleman turned out to be the In Room Dining Manager Ruchira and Miss Mombasa Tufa. Very engaging and truly customer focused. There is another In Room Dining Manager I think Raju. These two gentlemen has been pampering with chocolates and other giveaways. In all my years of travelling I have never come across such great service in person when I am in lobby from these two gentlemen who are simply the best. So why should you stay at this hotel: Excellent and personable customer service. Each staff greets you and an introduction of their names There was a genuine caring attitude by the staff. They will go all out to try and help you with any request The rooms are new and some has great views of the sea The In Room dining customer care service exceeds one’s expectations and so was Catherine at the gym who actually came by the next morning to talk to me GM Jeroen taking the time to meet with the guest In my opinion this hotel deserves a 6 star rating. Based on my experience I have cancelled my hotel bookings in a European country and opted for the Ritz. To make it all worthwhile the GM of Ritz Carlton Dubai has contacted his counterpart in the property in Europe to “look after me”.
