Another fantastic stay at the Crowne Plaza. The rooms are nice and comfortable. The pool area which adjoins the Intercontinental is good. The staff around the pool are lovely. The food is excellent including the breakfast buffet. The festival city mall which is next door is very handy. We’ll definitely come back.

Their gym and steam baths are great. Trainer Habib in particular was excellent. He provided tours and training suggestions. He and his team kept the gym and pool area in good condition and well stocked. The work out machines were a little older but workable. The deck allows you to also use the facilities at the adjoining intercontinental hotel which are nice as well. The Crowne pool is an excellent lap pool of 25 M. The restaurant was also very good. The buffet breakfast is excellent with significant variety, international journals for read and the whole staff was very attentive. The room we stayed in was a king bed with a spacious bathroom. Excellent closet space, water daily and easy internet access. The electrical plugs inside the desk were hard to use as the converter could not plug in fully due to the barrier of the table top. We made due by using other outlets. Finally, the hotel is connected to the large Festival City Mall and this provides a lot of variety in shopping and restaurants. Read less

The staff is very friendly and helpful and responds quickly to your queries. Loved the comfortable king size bed and comfortable and quiet room. The location of the hotel is quite good. It is a mere 20 minutes from the main airport. The hotel is connected to another IHG brand hotel and new shopping mall. In front of hotel you can take a ferry to nearest metro station which brings you to other major attractions in Dubai. I certainly can recommend the Crown Plaza Festival City. It was an absolute pleasure staying at the Crown Plaza. Read less

Big thumbs up on the F&B front: The Crowne Plaza evening buffet is one of the best we have encountered on multiple visits to Dubai. Conversely most of the independent restaurants in the Festival City complex are below par, none worthy of a recommendation, and the sound and light show (a sindbad type cartoon projected onto both the hotel exterior and the festival city lagoon fountain/steam jets) is not for everyone. Rooms are very modern and well laid out - we got an upgrade to a bigger room with a water/pool view which was nice. Pool is small - not for swimming laps. Access to the metro is a long-winded affair - boat transfer across the water for which you must buy a ticket and then hope there are not too many people ahead of you in the queue as you'll be forced to wait 20 minutes or so for the next boat. Much quicker to get around Dubai by taxi from here - but the boat trip is novel if you have time. Read less
