I spent 10 days in this hotel because I was attending a corporate global meeting. My stay was good and everything was ok. This place has everything in my opinion to justify 5 star. We have had a wonderful time and everyone including the door men to the staff at the pool are so friendly. Will definitely return. It's great location ( more central to access various areas than staying in the Jumeirah) in my opinion. The kids pool with the slides are really good and kept our son busy. There is a indoor pool but the weather was perfect for us in the outdoors so we didn't need to use. Read less

We stayed for 1 night weekend break and arrived early to make the most of our time. Front desk staff were so helpful, even offered us a late checkout time and a room that was ready straight away. We booked the buffet breakfast after being told my allergy would be very well catered for - oh how wrong could they be! Our room was recently renovated - possibly the nicest hotel room we have ever stayed in.Very spacious, lovely dual sink bathroom, coffee machine, large sofa, stylish décor, walk in wardrobe etc. Only strange thing is the door on the toilet is transparent glass - I think maybe meant to be frosted? Not sure the point of the door otherwise...! Bed very comfy and a sound night sleep we had. The hotel is huge as are the grounds, loved the pool area and comfy sunbeds, also a big selection of restaurants for the evening. We had a delicious meal in the Indian restaurant IZ who looked after me and my allergy very well, thank you. The big disappointment was breakfast. Not the quality of the food (fine) but the service. When we arrived at 9.30am the hostess looked at us like we were not supposed to be there (name not on the list), then nervously tried to find someone to show us to a table (they weren't that busy). We had to ask several times for tea/coffee. I asked numerous kitchen staff about what food I could eat as none of the food had allergens labelled. I asked what bread I could eat (which I had to wait 20 minutes for the answer) and if they could make me some soya pancakes. I chased another 4 times for this and after 1 hour they informed me that they could not make them, but would try tomorrow. Pancakes take minutes to make and cook - especially when they have soya milk on display and the other simple ingredients (flour, egg). It was a flat no. This is unacceptable especially since I had informed the hotel way in advance to avoid this issue. There was not much else I could eat at the buffet. The head chef then came to our table and said they would try to make them but it would take at least another 45 minutes (we had already been waiting 1hr 10min at this point), because they were 'too busy'. This is so unreasonable - I would have rather made my own breakfast when I first arrived than expect to wait 2 hours for pancakes!!! Finally after telling them my feelings and that I will not be paying for such a dismal breakfast and services, I received my breakfast. So unnecessary stress. Hotel clearly cannot cater for people with allergies / dietary requirements. Better communication is needed between reservation team (I made the note on my original booking) / front desk / kitchen staff. A shame as it really put a sour taste to our weekend away and made it very stressful. Won't be returning as too many other amazing hotels with impeccable service to choose from. Read less
