We were a family of 4 - 2 adults and two kids ages 10 and 13yrs. We booked the Junior Suite as it states this is suitable for a family of 4 or 3 adults and presumed that the sofa bed would be a proper pull-out sofa bed however this was not the case, my son slept on the sofa for the week which was not the comfiest tbh. The large z-bed was comfortable and suitable for a younger child but I certainly would not book this type of room for more than 2 adults and a child under 10 yrs. Although the suite was gorgeous and roomy with two balconies one with comfy seats and one with sunbeds the sleeping arrangements were not sufficient. Our suite was in the main building on the 3rd-floor room 9329 it had a view across the courtyard towards the pool and was cleaned well daily with a turndown service at night where fresh bottled water and towels were left. We arrived at the hotel at 2 am Sunday morning, I read lots of reviews which said that the check-in was awful however we found this very quick and the delivery of luggage and the z-bed was fast! Breakfast hours are great, from 6.30 am to 11 am which was perfect as we didn't have to get up at the crack of dawn and we found the staff and food very good all week. I was slightly disappointed that the outside veranda was not laid out for you to eat breakfast however it was extremely hot even at 10 am so the air-conditioned restaurant was a better option. You were allocated a table and helped yourself to a huge selection, my kids loved the pancakes and cheesy omelets. The pool was so beautiful, laid back and no hurry to get sun loungers. There were lots of beds and parasols and the pool towels were great quality. The lazy river was a few mins from the main pool, kids had to be with an adult even though they were both strong swimmers but this was not an issue. There were plenty of single or double rings. We didnt use the kid's pool but it was also quiet and well looked after, lots of lifeguards on duty throughout the day and really pleasant! A couple of days we chose to eat lunch at the pool bar instead of having our evening meal - you could choose a starter, main course, and dessert which was more food than you could ever imagine!! Although the kids did not get a starter the portions were huge so we all shared these. I ordered a lite bite a couple of times and OMG the chicken kebab was two skewers of chicken with salad, pitta, and french fries and the pizzas here are delicious! All the soft drinks are included with your lunch or dinner and I thought this was great value this wasn't limited to one per person either! The staff around the pool bar were so lovely! Our personal favorites were Rodger and Ann they were so kind and could not do enough to make us feel welcome and look after us all....a big thank you guys you made our holiday! :) The parks were a short walk from the hotel, there was a golf buggy to the Riverland entrance but if I am honest it was a minute walk away! We were not too keen on Bollywood probably because we didn't know any of the characters but it was nice to walk around, most of the rides here are quite basic 3d/4d motion rides. We loved Motion Gate, compact park with some great rides and we loved the air conditioned inside dome with Shrek, How to Train your Dragon and Madagasgar which was perfect during the middle of the day! We thought the prices in the parks were very reasonable compared to Disney which we have been to many times. Legoland was a favourite for my 10 yrs old she loved it and we also spent a few hours at the waterpark which was fun but it wasn't somewhere we would spend all day we preferred the pool at the hotel. The park tickets were included in the hotel stay - great value and easy to use we were given a receipt at check-in which we just had scanned at the turnstiles when we went in. We did go into Dubai on one day, taxi cost around £70 return we went to the Marina and done an amazing speed boat trip with Splash Tours which we would recommend and then went to Dubai Mall to visit the Burj Kalifa and do some shopping. The taxis for the whole day were around £70. The hotel was close enough to visit the city but we much preferred staying out here away from the hustle and bustle. We visited the outlet mall which was a 15 min walk from the hotel which we done one night but we used the free shuttle bus after that and it was well worth just hopping on, dropped you off right outside the doors and straight back to the hotel, where the staff outside the hotel were so friendly and welcoming. Overall we have had the best holiday! We will definitely return to Lapita Hotel but we will just look to book the standard room with the two double beds in the future. Read less

Stayed at hotel for a week with 2 children (2,5) and had the best time. Hotel is really lovely and staff are just fantastic. Service was excellent so helpful and accommodating. Rooms are lovely spacious, clean, modern and have everything you need. Room is cleaned every day and staff are so lovely asked us constantly if there was anything else we needed and put little pink slippers in the room for our girls which they loved. Staff at the pool restaurant Roger, Stephen and Bonita are exceptional really helpful. Food at hotel is excellent. Breakfast is great lots of offer to choose from. Lunch at the pool bar is great lots of choose and really good quality. We stayed half board so would sometimes have lunch then eat at river land or have our evening meal at hotel. You have two options the buffet or the Asian restaurant. Buffet is great lots to choose from and again as with breakfast really good quality. The Asian is a sit down option and food is excellent. Location to theme parks is great. We walked to them all and it was no problem even with two small children. River land is lovely. Theme parks are fantastic are children loved them all. Was so quiet which was excellent for us no ques and children could go on everything. Read less

Just returned from a 5 night stay at the Lapita. We are a couple in our 50s with a life long love of all things theme parky!! We had a brilliant time here. We arrived at 9 am and our room was ready so after a freshen up we enjoyed the pool and the parks. We slipped into an easy routine of breakfast, pool and then parks in the evening when it was slightly cooler, then dinner back at the hotel. We had amazing meals at the pan Asian restaurant Hikina and also the pool side restaurant. Housekeeping was of a high standard throughout. Everyone, without exception, was super friendly and professional and nothing was too much trouble. The lovely ladies at the breakfast room always greeted us by name and with big smiles. The resort was very quiet, as were the parks but we really enjoyed ourselves and came back well rested and relaxed. We have been to Dubai a few times previously and although this hotel was maybe not as glitzy or luxurious as others we have stayed in, it certainly was one of the friendliest. Thank you to everyone for giving us a terrific time.( room 8202) Read less

The concierge Allan was very helpful when we went to collect our park tickets and also helping with info about taxis and metro to Dubai mall ! Thankyou Allan ! All I all a fabulous relaxing break for us all . We will return . Only down side is it’s quite away into dubai centre but we knew this as had brunch there in October last year and with the parks so close and having tickets we only left the resort one day . Taxis are cheap so it wouldn’t be a problem Thankyou Lapita for a wonderful stay Kind regards The Edmunds Family Read less

It’s not our first time here but definitely we see service levels have dropped.... from check in, to dinner buffet... to restaurants service... we definitely felt we should have stayed at home instead of doing this staycation 20 minutes away from our home...
