Dubai in is a very expensive venue. May be fuel and the monorail are the most competitively items. For the wife and I, who just want to relax by the pool, this hotel is perfect. Wall to wall sunshine with as much top quality food and drink you could consume providing you are all inclusive. There is only one all inclusive package that covers almost everything. Red Bull, crisps, champagne, very exclusive wines, spirits and a prawn dish, in the Italian restaurant, incur extra. No tricks or conditions. No all inclusive, all inclusive premium or all inclusive plus. No separate menus or cheap drinks. You have the same as every other paying customer in the hotel. Please consider an all inclusive package. It is easy to accumulate spending an equivalent of £500 per day for two adults. All of the restaurants are included in all inclusive. All drinks are high quality branded in cans or bottles ant NOT dispensed out of a machine. All of the staff are extremely friendly, polite and willing to assist. Michael in the Italian restaurant is the epitome of good service and customer relations. There is a large shopping mall across the road, but it would be unwise to believe you can your food and drink provisions there. Although they are not as expensive as the hotel prices they are expensive. There is a monorail 5 minutes walk away with taxis every where. On a weekend, Fri and Sat, you can get the free minibus to the Emirates or Dubai Mall. Now the not so good part, in my opinion. For us the pool on the 8th floor, size of a swimming pool you find at the local leisure centre in the UK, is the jewel in the crown for the hotel. The water appears to be checked several times a day every day however the white plastic grates covering the overflow trough is not. When you are in the water at the edge you can clearly see the build up of black grime and green algae in the gaps of the grates. Nothing that a good power wash would not rectify. We would not hesitate in returning again. Read less
