We stayed at this resort for one night, The arrival experience on the little boat it was very nice, also our villa was really nice cleaned and had a privet pool which I really enjoyed me and my fiancé a specially the sunset cause we had view on the beach. You feel like you’re somewhere else not UAE. We had dinner in the restaurant the food was nice but the service was not! The staff are really nice and helpful in the restaurant, the only thing that they keep asking you every 2min if you need something which is bothered us a bit cause we where in a deep conversation and the gentleman keeps asking... I think they need to train them for 5stars service. We had a issue with the TV it was connecting to the villa next to us, we had to call Engineering to come and fix it for us but they came after I fall asleep. The next morning we heard the bell at 8:44am & someone knocking the door loudly, it was the room service guy coming with the breakfast basket that my partner want to surprise me & have it in the pool instead of the restaurant but it’s was disappointing. They bring it one hour before the time, he requested at 10am, he was very disappointed, also the food was lying out for a long time cause we had to prepare ourselves, we had to ask for coffee and wait for more than 20min and it wasn’t fresh, the omelette order was wrong... it looks like the stuff are not ready yet to deal with the guests. When we were doing check-in, we confirmed a late check-out( I am a Marriott member and we have Fazaa card). We had a call around 1pm that we have to live as soon as possible cause the check-out time is 12, I explained to them again that it was confirmed a late check-out in arrival time(there was no communication between the staff). I told the gentleman in the reception that we have to prepare ourselves cause I was in the restaurant for lunch and we came back directly to the pool, he told me that he will give me on more extra hour after that we need to check-out! One lady from reception called again it was just to much, I asked her if the room is booked, it was during the week cause I do understand that during weekends you have a high occupancy! She said no the villa bit booked but still we need to check-out. They were calling us every 4min, the time we were taking shower, they send the bellboy 3 times and the gentlemen (Ausman)he has to wait long time in the sun bigg thanks to him he was very helpful from the arrival time. I believe they could’ve just told me, we want you out instead. I travel a lot and I can tell you that the villa are nice but without a welcoming and a trained staff the hotel experience means noting. I’d rather go to lesser fancy hotel with a welcoming staff. I didn’t feel I’m in Marriott property. Our friends Supposed to be with us but they change the reservation, they went there 2 days after us and they were celebrating their second anniversary same issues from the breakfast coffee till... no one told them a happy anniversary and they mentioned that! Each villa has its own private pool, garden, cabana, outdoor bath and directly facing beach. It is so romantic. Each aspect of the room has been done very beautifully and maintained very well. In the evening, we enjoyed few drinks watching the beautiful sunset from the sundeck. In the night, we spent some time at the beach lying in the sand looking at the stars and searching for constellations. It was so calming with the sound of waves. The hotel staff is very courteous. Satish, the Bartender, was so polite and helpful. Food was great. Being a vegetarian, there were not many options for breakfast, but they made masala tea, paratha and curry specially for us. Thank you Satish for making our stay memorable. We enjoyed every moment staying there and look forward to go back. Read less

Like most people, we had a staycation in The UAE for our main holiday this year. One of the properties we visited was this one. We did 2 nights in late August. The hotel's location and setting is very nice. The 'arrival experience' on the little boat helps add to the theatre and makes it feel as if you are being whisked of to a remote island location. The check in was OK, we did have to wait for our room but it was less than 20 mins and we were offered a complimentary beverage as we waited. The room itself was well appointed and reasonable in size but had a musty damp smell. We pointed this out and asked for the room to be air freshened but this didn't happen. The outdoor space is where this room comes into its own, nice pool area with table and chairs for having food at, an outdoor stone bath and shower, a cabana area with sun loungers and then it opens onto the beach. All very clean and well maintained. In fact the attention to detail and time that Akhil, the gentleman from housekeeping that tended our room, took was amazing. He was meticulous in ensuring that every area was properly cleaned, no mean feat when you consider the size of the outdoor space. He also took the time to chat with us for 10 mins and even poured us drinks while we were in the pool. A real credit to Ritz & Marriott in general. The main reason I wouldn't give our experience the full 5 stars was the noise. In such a tranquil place you expect nothing but nature and the sound of waves, however, we were disrupted by screaming and shouting children from the villas on both sides of us. This started at 7am and went on continuously for 1 of the days we were there. A hotel such as this should be going for the couples only crowd, like Al Maha out towards Al Ain. When you have to pay the eye watering amounts for the cost of the room then you expect it to be a special experience for you and your wife. Its not like there are a lot of rooms to fill so they don't necessarily need to seek the business from all guest types, even in the current situation. At least separate the families to one side of the resort and keep the couples in the other. There is only 1 restaurant at this hotel but it is really good. We had intended to use it once during our stay but we used it 3 times because it was so good. My wife and I are on a specific diet and the chef knew exactly what to give us. The outdoor area was also very well appointed, although a little hot. A nice outdoor pool with views of the beach and the the whole resort. There was a bit of a fault with the handrail when accessing the pool but we were assured that this was getting repaired. Perhaps some signage telling patrons that the handrail is faulty would've been a good idea though. The most memorable part, and the reason why we went to the restaurant was the staff. We were mainly assisted by Leah, who was so friendly and absolutely falling over herself to help us but also Arun when we went for breakfast on our last day. It really is the staff that make a place and our experience here epitomises that. In fact, my overall rating would likely of been less had it not been for the staff. Read less

This is the second Ritz-Carlton property we stayed at in Ras Al-Khaimah and although very different from the desert one it is a whole world away from Dubai and another level in terms of quality of accommodation and service. This hotel is great for seclusion and with only one restaurant on the resort the room service was of a very good standard and with a good range of options too for the family. You couldn't honestly come here for a week and forget where you are in the world and lose a huge range of worries at the same time! Wouldn't do anything but recommend this hotel for the unique nature of the accommodation and outside space, which was even usable in late July due to the temperature controlled pool. Wonderful stay, do it and I'm sure you will enjoy it! Read less

At the outset, the property and location were excellent. However, It looks like the hotel staff had clearly forgotten how it is to run an efficient luxury hotel. This was the most forgettable experience I have ever had at a Sheraton /ritz property. I had requested an early check in and arrived at the hotel around 11:30 am. Early check in was not accommodated (acceptable) but we got our room AFTER some other people who had arrived later than us got their rooms (and I am a gold client). Also the gold benefits (and free vouchers) were not explained or offered to me at check in. The whole check in experience was like I were a member of low cost tour group client and not a premium client who had booked online through Sheraton app There was also a misunderstanding while availing spa services. After the spa, the counter person said that the debit could not be posted to my room as there was not sufficient in my authorised hold. Even when we called up the reception they could not sort it out.......please guys, I was staying at your hotel, I don’t carry my wallet to the spa and I did not ask you to take a small authorisation Amount. Very unpleasant (and my first) such experience. Other stuff like, delays in sending bakies to pick us up from my room, getting my breakfast order wrong summed up this very ordinary stay. A pity really, as we had chosen ritz for its hospitality and were looking forward to a nice break after the covid lock-in. But thank you Ritz, you have adequately demonstrated to me how an unpleasant and forgettable stay at a premium (and my favourite brand) of hotel looks like...... Read less
