Had a one night staycation here recently and it was lovely. I don’t think the breakfast was up to the standards of a Ritz Carlton though. The villas were absolutely beautiful although if you look at the finer details some things are in need of improvement, for example, there were small stains on the sofas etc. One thing I must praise about this hotel is a staff member by the name of Lovely. Lovely is an asset to this hotel with the high level of customer service service that he provides his guests. He looked after us whilst in our villa and even at breakfast, he really should be praised for his service. Thank you Lovely for making our trip such a memorable one. Read less

The current travel restrictions have given us a chance to focus on local hotels - a good thing after 10 years in dubai! After recently doing Al Maha desert hotel, one can’t help but to compare the two. The Ritz is more contemporary in design and feels more modern overall, and the pop-up, swivel TV makes for great evening viewing (we love tv!). The pool with the glass rim is spectacular, and the outside bath a thing of dreams! Given that each villa has its own pool, the beach and communal pool was mostly deserted... highly recommended for sundowners (great Martini and Cosmos!). The service was slightly inconsistent, and I’m not a fan of “open” toilets (glass door, but no ceiling to separate it from the rest of the room). The villa feels like you could be anywhere in the world, which is a bit of a double edged sword. Overall we had a wonderful stay, and looking forward to visiting Ritz Wadi in a few weeks! Read less

It was like visiting the sub-tropics (Maldives, Seychelles...sans the coral reefs, of course) without the hassle of flying there. The sea was lovely and warm. The rooms were spacious, cool, clean. The pools were chilled and clean. The room service itself (that’s all we did) was prompt and friendly, the staff fully complying with the COVID-19 regulations. We had wonderful massages. Now onto the one area that could be improved: the food quality was inconsistent, as if each meal was prepared by a different set of chefs. Something to work on. Dinners were a bit of hit-and-miss. Most of the food tended to be overcooked. One night our order was mixed up. To their credit, they brought my actually-ordered main (a steak) as soon as it was finished- and it was outstanding. Perhaps dining in the restaurant would have made a difference. Something to try out next time, we’re definitely planning to come back. Read less

To start with it the villa looks nothing like on the pictures, interior is dated and needs refurbishing. Rooms are small and outdoors area, the way it’s designed, doesn’t make sense. I should mention the garden around your villa which is beautiful. The beach is the kind of construction site sand and it’s not really close to your doorstep. The biggest issue though seems to be cleanliness and the maintenance of the the outdoor area too. The kitchen and service isn’t consistent as well. We found food traces on the indoor furniture and cigarette buds inside the pool and under the sun beds. In order for the hotel to provide cover for the sun bed, they used bed sheet and nails to fix them on. Staff didn’t seem to be alarmed about COVID situation and wore their masks and gloves randomly, always serving our food without gloves....room service was either excellent or not edible.... If I had to pay the ticket price and didn’t book in advance at a discount, I would be really angry about my purchase. Read less

A memorable experience. It is the second time we go there. The villas are a prefect place for a staycation, spacious enough and with private pool and direct access to the beach.
