I spent a mini-honeymoon at the Ritz Carlton Al Wadi in March and it was an exceptional experience. The Villas The villas are awesome with their own private pool, which is open to the desert but the layout of the villas allows them to be fairly private. The rooms are quite spacious, comfortable and with a massive walk-in bathroom that is almost as big as the bedroom itself. The amenities are awesome in this hotel. Our villa has a lovely bathroom surrounded by windows (in private), shower, private toilet, double sinks and even a round seat in the middle. The room itself has a walk-in closet, living room, and a lovely spacious outdoor area overlooking the infinity pool, which is kept warm at 28+ degrees at all times. The resort Exceptional in services and cater to every need is how I would define them. Buggies are available 24/7 to take you to and from any location in the 500 hectare land, service is amazing and every member of staff attempts to go over and beyond to support, help and make your stay special. They will take as many buggy rides to you as you need! Due to the space and vast areas, even if the place is full, you’ll hardly even notice it. They have spaced it out brilliantly. The entertainment We experienced the falcon show, stargazing, explored the wildlife and even visited their horses, camels, owls and even rabbits! There are a lot of lovely animals to interact with and visit/feed. Great for families who love animals. While you have a private pool, there is a large public one, which seems to be rarely used since everyone is in their own. The food Plenty of choice from 3 restaurants and room-service available 24/7. The restaurants also change menus from lunch and dinner so you’re always spoilt for choice. A quick chat with a chef and they’ll make you almost what ever you may want. The Moroccan restaurant is awesome, popping with flavors and is quite unique. Their international restaurant has a wide selection of choices from all over the world and their steakhouse is known for amazing steaks. If you want it to go a step further you can set up private dining, which was a dream. The food was amazing, more food than you could want. The seclusion across multiple areas and service was as if you’re a royal. Pricey at 2600AED but definitely worth it for that one special occasion. Verdict Once of the nicest resorts in the UAE, mixing great space, private villas, amazing service and delicious dining. I would definitely return and is 100% recommended to everyone staying here. Enjoy my pictures, there is a lot of lovely things to see! Read less

There was fresh fruit and juices in the room when we arrived and a little welcome note. The room was fantastic and the bathroom huge and everything was clean and the bed was very comfortable. There was bikes outside the villa and we used them to get around the resort. We saw camels, Oryx’s, falcons, horses, goats and owls. The pool area was also nice with nice sunbeds/cabanas and the service was fantastic. We had dinner in Al Mazraa, arabic restaurant, and the food was very nice. On the main course we didn’t find any vegan/vegetarian choice and when we mentioned this Cheef Hassan made us something special and it was delicious. Thanks for going the extra mile. The breakfast was also great with a lot of choices for food. Thanks for a wonderful stay and hope to be back someday. Read less

What a nice hotel! We stayed in one of the largest villas and it is just: wow! Luxurious, beautiful, but what is most important: private and still close to nature. You just stay all day at your private veranda and private balcony and watch the dunes, trees and occasional birds. Restaurant, although booked on halfboard base, came as a la carte, what I loved. And to start the day well: Breakfast was the best and calmest I ever had in a big hotel. Nice! Any cons? Oh yes, it’s seriously expensive. Read less

This was our 3rd visit in less than a year. Our first visit was to break up our journey home from a holiday in the Far East as we transit through Dubai. The incredible 5 nights we had then has made the Al Wadi an essential part of any holiday to that part of the world. Just as the main part of our holiday is drawing to a close we still have something to look forward to. We have always stayed in the Al Sahari Villas and no words on here could do justice to this accommodation. They are simply stunning. If someone asked me to define luxury hotel accommodation I would just point them in this direction. Plus, what a magical experience to sit outside in the morning on your private decking and sip a coffee whilst watching Arabian Oryx and Gazelles graze in front of you. Then repeat in the evening as the sun goes down with a glass of wine after a relaxing swim in your pool. The natural integration of a luxury hotel into the wildlife of a nature reserve is something that makes this place very special to us. Breakfast in Kaheela is great and lunch too. An evening cocktail in the Moon Bar under the stars before dinner is delightful. The food in the Moorish and Farmhouse in the evening is lovely. Importantly, all of the staff from check-in to goodbye are brilliant and can't do enough for you. This visit was no exception. The welcome back from the staff in The Farmhouse and their warm service and little gift when we left really touched us. We are already planning our next visit to our favourite home in the desert.
