We stayed three nights at the Ritz Carlton Al Wadi Desert Camp. Our stay at the Desert Camp far exceeded our expectations. Our Villa was ultra-luxe and positioned beautifully for privacy, as well as picturesque views to the desert. Beyond the beauty of our Villa, what truly made the difference was the friendly, outgoing, can-we-help-you demeanor of every team member we encountered at the Desert Camp. Those team members deserving special recognition include:  Duty Manager - Joseph Dsouza. Joseph made a point of introducing himself to us. And he diligently pursued resolution of a minor issue we had in our suite until it was resolved (Our hairdryer worked intermittently, and we believed there was a wire short in the bathroom dressing table. However, the final diagnosis was a defective hairdryer). We thank Joseph for his professional, unrelenting pursuit to resolve our hair dryer issue, and for his friendly and outgoing demeanor.  Waiter - Kaheela – Shubham. Shubham greeted us so warmly and each time we entered the restaurant he made a point of stopping by to see how our stay at the Desert Camp was going and to offer his help, if we needed anything. He has a calm, warm, friendly yet highly professional demeanor. We compliment Shubham. He is a perfect hospitality representative of the Ritz Carlton Desert Camp.  Waitresses – Joveth Caparoso and Joan and the Bartender – Farmhouse Restaurant. Most memorable of our stay at the Desert Camp was and will be etched in our memories was the totally unexpected ‘special moment’ that Joveth Caparoso and Joan Fernandez made happen with assistance of the Farmhouse Bartender. We had dinner at the Farmhouse on two evenings, and during the first dinner we wanted to order a bottle of wine from a French vineyard with my first name ‘Maurice’. Upon checking on this wine’s availability, Joveth told us it was out of stock, even though it appeared on the menu. She said if we came back the following evening for dinner she would check to see if this wine was in the storeroom at the Desert Camp. Returning the following evening, sure enough, Joveth had this wine and said it was the ‘last remaining bottle’. We told Joveth that we would like the empty bottle at the end of our meal so that we could soak off the wine’s labels and keep them as a memory of our dinner at the Farmhouse. Especially since this wine bottle had my first name on the label. Upon learning this, Joveth suggested she would ask the Bartender to soak off the labels for us. She poured the wine into a beautiful decanter and took the empty bottle to the Bartender. Our ‘ultra-special moment’ at the Farmhouse, and thus at the Desert Camp, was at the end of our meal. We asked for the check…and the wine bottle label. Then Joveth returned to our table along with Joan and the Bartender who presented us with the wine label which they had beautifully framed in a picture frame along with two of the Christmas ornaments from the tree lighting ceremony – all as our Christmas on-going away journey gift. WOW…WOW…and WOW! This was the most unexpected and beautiful ‘special moment’ we have experienced, and it is etched in our memory of our stay at the Desert Camp. Joveth, Joan and the Bartender had extraordinary insight and skill at creating our ‘special moment’. They truly are perfect ambassadors of the Ritz Carlton Al Wadi Desert Camp’s extraordinary service. From our experience, the Ritz Carlton Al Wadi Desert Camp is a perfect escape venue. We highly recommend the Desert Camp. You will not be disappointed! Read less

The place is very private in a private reservation area where an extinct arabian oryx is thriving. Service The service is exquisite and superb from the time we arrived early morning and a smiling face greeted, welcomed and assisted us all the way to our room. Thank you Ghopal. We have a great experience from the buggy drivers Mark and the others i cant remember to bartenders and servers and special mention on our first breakfast and we had a lovely cake as a surprise to my wife. Private Villa It is absolutely stunning with very big room His and hers sink in the bathroom with a bath and shower. Your own private temperature controlled pool. The only downside is we have minimal view at the back as i can see vehicles passing by. The amenities inside needs a bit of improvement the phone is only working on a speaker. The bose speaker is not connecting to the TV we have to ask for things e.g slippers shower gel and some bubble soap for the bath. The bicycles needs servicing as the one we have in our villa is not balance or aligned properly and a bit dangerous to ride. I think newer version needs to be purchased. Buggy service is a bit longer to have especially during peak times. Information about the whole activities and tmings in the resort should be published or be in a laminated flyer in the room so the guest would be aware of what to do rather than keep asking and ringing the front desk for informations. Overall it was a good experience and would like to comeback again to have the proper experience as i thinks there is more to see and experience the whole stay. Keep it up and keep improving everything. Read less
