We visited Dubai March 15- March 21. Due to the coronavirus, most places were closed down upon arrival. We experienced personalized customer service & are soo grateful to all the staff from GH who made us feel welcomed during this crisis. On our last day we received complimentary wine, cake & flowers for our anniversary and for my husband's birthday. We were able to enjoy the beach at their partnering hotel (Le Meridien) across the street. They have a shuttle that takes you there, but it is also walking distance. We took walks around the marina every day. It is beautiful during the day and also at night. There's a minimarket outside the hotel (couple minutes away). We bought fruit and pastries and brought that back to our room everyday. There's plenty of restaurants all around. Jumeirah beach is walking distance. Don't be afraid to venture out. The metro & tram stations are about a 10min walk. The concierge can give you a map and let you know how to get there. I suggest buying the daily pass (all zones) for $22 Durhams & moving around that way to get to Burj Khalifa, Dubai Frame, Old Dubai, etc. They have a great/easy to navigate public transportation system. With the pass you can take as many buses/trams/metros as you like in one day. (**Taking taxis gets pricey if you want to go to different places in one day). Most of the restaurants at the hotel were closed due to the Covid19 restrictions, but Indego by Vineet was opened and that's where we dined our first nite. A little expensive, but totally worth it, everything that we got looked & tasted amazing. Our room was on the 39th floor. We had a balcony & an incredible view of the marina/beach. My sister's room was on the 21st floor. She had a suite with kitchen, dining room, living room, but no balcony. There's complimentary bottles of water the hotel provides everyday. I suggest taking some water bottles with you wherever you go because everyone charges you for it (there's no such thing as tap water). They also have a mini bar, but beware those items are not free. I absolutely love this hotel. It is modern & beautiful, & the lobby smells incredible! The staff is genuine & friendly. We hope to come back one day to try out everything else we weren't able to experience. Read less

I look to see how people in luxury environments perform which is why I will only ever stay at this hotel whenever I go to Dubai. In fact, having travelled extensively throughout my 52 years, I tend nowadays to ONLY go to Dubai, in other words, I only go here. I cannot give any higher praise than that. You want the best in customer service that’s world class? Go to the Grosvenor House. Read less

In particular with the Covid-19 crisis the cleaning protocols put in place were excellent. We stayed in a Premier Suite which included Level 5 Access and we found the staff always helpful in particular Romel who is a credit to the hotel. Highly recommended and once again we would like to thank Raja & Toni for their excellent hospitality. To each and everyone keep safe and keep well. Read less

I love the Grosvenor House in Dubai, we always stay in an Executive Room with Club Lounge access but what makes this hotel is the staff. We stayed mid March as the COVID-19 outbreak and the lock down was just starting to happen so we needed to change our flights with Emirates to get home. The website and customer services for Emirates were extremely busy so we were struggling. The concierge were just awesome in helping to the extent that a member of staff at the airport queued at the Emirates desk for an hour to help change our flights. Can't thank them enough for their help and support, a real credit to the Hotel. This was our 5th Stay and we will be back as soon as possible for a 6th! Read less

We came here in March for the 4th time, simply because it is outstanding in every respect. It is a very classy hotel, excellent hospitality to the highest standard, and yet carried out in the friendliest way. Since the first time we came here we have felt totally relaxed, at home, and so we never think of going to any other hotel. We upgraded, and it was well worth the extra, to have the view from an upper floor, and also access to Level 5 lounge again, a lovely oasis at any time of the day, and staff who take the best care of you. But all the staff are trained to appreciate that you are their responsibility, and so without exception will acknowledge you or pass the time of day with you, with a genuine interest. The food is first class from breakfast to dinner - the problem is not having a stomach large enough to eat all the delicious food set before you. So without wishing to labour the review, I can only concur with all the superlatives that others have written. I just want to pick out 2 things which have stood out for me this time, though not a first experience here. Thursday is the seafood evening at Sloane's, and it is an absolutely amazing spread of all kinds of delicious seafood, and included if you are on half board basis. Be sure to go to it. The shared beach facility with the Royal Meridien (and also restaurants) is exceptional, and we enjoyed it every day. The beach service is first class. If you go for a walk along the beach, you will see many new hotels which I am sure are very nice. However, the sun beds are packed so close together in many instances. At Royal Meridien you are well spaced out, under shades, such a difference. Another plus. So thank you to everyone at Grosvenor House for another memorable stay, and we look forward to coming back while our health allows us. Read less
