My son and I visited St. Regis in Aspen over the summer and we had the most amazing vacation getaway. The room was absolutely gorgeous with a beautiful view of the hillside. I think we were upgraded to a one bedroom suite so we had a very large living area, two bathrooms, a beautiful bedroom that had french windows opening up to the courtyard and absolutely gorgeous furnishings. The front desk were outstanding. Valet was great. We ordered room service and ate at the restaurant along with attending the Bonvoy happy hour. Everything was excellent. The swimming pool was beautiful and we also rented bikes and rode downtown and went shopping and had lunch. It was a wonderful getaway trip and I seriously felt so pampered and can’t wait to go back next summer. St. Regis is top quality and absolutely stunning. Read less

Our family of four had an awesome ski trip to Aspen over New Years. Because the rooms are so crazy expensive, we crammed into a room with two double beds. Our family of four had an awesome ski trip to Aspen over New Years. Because the rooms are so crazy expensive, we crammed into a room with two double beds. The room itself was spacious, but sleeping wasn't ideal — we knew that going in. We debated about getting a rollaway, but decided it would cramp the room too much. The room itself was awesome: meticulously clean, high-end everything, great rain shower, plenty of drawers and closet space (important for a ski trip), and a great view. Housekeeping was a little inconsistent with their timing; one day, our first service was after 6pm. I guess it's understandable with a fully booked hotel on — what we heard is — their busiest day of the year. We ate breakfast at Velvet Buck every days. The staff was great and made sure our Celiac teenager was well fed. He loved their breakfast tacos and had them 7 days in a row. We LOVED the New Years celebration at Velvet Buck. The food was amazing and the dessert section was decadent. Not only for me, but that Celiac teenager had tons of gluten-free options. The staff was great. The wine list was great — and reasonably priced given the captive audience. United Airlines lost our bags for 1.5 days; the St Regis' butlers at the airport (Warren and Kris) were super helpful -- as was the shuttle to & from the airport! The location is stupendous! Downtown Aspen is magical during the Christmas season. We walked to dinner every night and loved the vibe in town. My own criticism with the location is schlepping ski gear gets a little tedious. We knew the hotel isn't ski-in/ski-out, but I was surprised that the ski valets didn't provide more service. Aspen Mountain Sports runs the ski & boot storage. The staff was swamped at peak times; we waited 10-15 minutes one morning just to get our stuff because they were helping with rentals. The lockers and facilities are great. But it's a couple blocks walk on ice packed streets to the buses or Aspen Mountain. I feel head or heals in the middle of the street one afternoon carrying all my stuff — thank goodness I was still wearing my helmet. I guess I was we excepting something like the Four Seasons experience in Vail; where someone from the hotel is there to collect your skis. Look, I'm not complaining, but in my 50s, carrying all that stuff after a full day on the mountain is near my limit ;-) We'll be back! Read less

The St. Regis Aspen is the epitome of mountain luxury, with exquisite service and thought behind every detail to assure the ultimate pampered experience. We arrived to our room with gentle classical-chill music playing on the in-room Bose, our fireplace pre-lit to remove the mountain chill of the fresh snow out our window, and a welcome note to personally greet us and introduce us to the full range of amenities. Our slippers were laid out and the mini bar was stocked with treats, including Sugarfina cubes! A lovely touch for us was the canine brand ambassador, Kitty, whose official name is Kitty Jacob Astor II (named after the Bernese Mountain Dog belonging to the founder of the St. Regis). Kitty’s official roles include assisting with hotel pick-ups, greeting guests and joining in story time for kids. Since we occasionally checked in on Kitty’s Insta prior to arrival, it kind of felt like a celebrity sighting when we met Kitty at the property! The unique details of the property including multiple fireplaces, strategically placed to welcome and warm guests, sturdy and very functional coat hooks (and sufficient of them) at the entrance to our room to hang snowy and wet layers after a day of outdoor play, and Remède bath products (including a facial cleansing “souffle” that was almost better than the edible chocolate version). When checking in, our hosts gifted us water bottles to fill at the filtered water stations throughout the environmentally friendly hotel, to reduce plastic waste. The common areas and guest rooms alike were simultaneously luxurious, but with a relaxed and slightly rustic elegance to minimize a potential stuffy feel. The world class Remède Spa even contains oxygen stations in case you are feeling the breathtaking altitude. Dining on property was a true delight, from the room service breakfast to the après ski at E.M.P. Winter House. Two Girls’ WAVES - We sum up our experience at each property we visit with 5 key factors that are important to us: **Wow Factor: Luxury all the way meant to impress at every turn **Ambiance: Rustic chic with super comfy lounge areas and plush details **Value: So much more than a hotel – The property is a destination in itself with the bars, restaurant, common areas, après ski music, happy hour and rooms outfitted with countless amenities **Ease: Central location for a quick walk to shops and restaurants and pre-arrival ease, since concierge took care of every last detail for us in preparation for our stay (including transportation, tours, reservations, and in-room preferences) **Service: Superb service for everything we could possibly want on our stay (even butler service for those who choose to partake) Read less

My family and I are in the process of completing a 5 night stay at the St. Regis Aspen. We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay so far. Why you may ask? I’ll start off by saying the amenities of the hotel are incredible. From the welcoming lobby area, to the relaxing spa, to the comfortable room, everything is of the highest quality. And the location of the hotel was perfect. But one would expect this at a 5 star hotel. And so I won’t go into any more detail on the room, facilities, etc So what truly stands out about this property that makes it special / worth the trip? The answer lies in its people. Good amenities can exist at any high end resort, but truly great people are hard to come by. Special thanks goes to Thomas Eby, one of the managers on property, who went above and beyond to ensure a great check in experience and pleasant stay throughout. He was cognizant of our family’s needs given we were traveling with our daughter and did so many nice things to acknowledge her birthday and make it a great stay. Special thanks also goes to Briannan Atwell, who sprung into action one night when we had a medical emergency, was reassuring to us, and ultimately played a crucial role in getting us what was needed. Stephanie Madrid and Tyler Rego in the concierge were absolute rock stars in helping arrange for some incredible restaurants and suggested some great family friendly activities. I was impressed by their flexibility as our plans changed. Their knowledge and love for Aspen was apparent throughout our interactions. Ashley Lynch, the Director of Operations, was extremely personable and always made time to check in and make our experience the best it could possibly be. Many high end hotels will often have great amenities. But truly great hotels have extraordinary people. This hotel falls into that truly great category. Yes it was a splurge, but looking back on the experience, I can’t imagine staying anywhere else. Thank you for a wonderful stay. Read less
