My husband and I enjoyed a 3 night stay in Tahoe. What a beautiful area! The rooms are clean, quiet and comfortable. Price is fair and includes a $10 voucher per person for breakfast. The wait staff worked hard and accommodated anyone who checked in by 10. This is not a flashy or fancy resort, but we enjoyed our stay and the convenient… Read more

Can you believe they have free breakfast and a 1 man band in the evening. Happy hour is just a discount, not what I expected. Rooms clean and older Lake Tahoe style. Air Conditioning a +++ in July. Plenty of parking and easy walk to the beach and strip.

We booked four nights at the station house through Best Western. When we checked in we were notified that they are no longer affiliated with Best Western but would honor the Best Western quoted price & points for our stay. At $229+tax at night it’s about on par with other middle to low end places to stay in Tahoe. If you have more than one device to plug-in be prepared to plug it in, in the bathroom. The carpet and room have the old Motel 6 musty smell. The hospitality service is great and the people at the desk are very helpful. One problem though is the restaurant that seems to be attached to the property. LewMarNel’s. They have tried to make this restaurant trendy and have not done a very good job. $16 plus for a hamburger and quite frankly the Carl’s Jr. super star looks and taste better. Tyler was our server for a couple of days and you could not ask for a more friendly and helpful person. Their menu is very limited. We did receive complementary breakfast for four days and that did take the sting out of the room price. Again their menu is very limited. The only other issue is on Friday and Saturday night (until 7pm) they had some guy playing music at the pool. For a while he was playing to two swimmers but his amp was really turned up. We kind of wanted to take a nap in the afternoon but we’re unable to do so due to his loud music. We did mention it to our front desk but we’re told the restaurant is not affiliated with the hotel so too bad. Would we stay there again, no Read less

I'm mainly writing this review for anyone who may have booked this hotel before May for an upcoming stay. When we checked in we were told they were no longer a Best Western. We had a $20 BW gift certificate from the promotion they are having this summer and could not use it. Luckily we have another BW stay next month and we will use it there. If someone is planning to use there certificate or points...you will be disappointed from that perspective. I'm planning to contact BW as they should have notified us based in what the front desk said. Other than that we had a nice stay...its a little dated but clean. Our room was a little small with lots of furniture, but it was ok for 2 nights. Also the breakfast was a little different than what BW offers but the did give $10 vouchers to use towards breakfast.. small but good menu and the comped our coffees so we ended up with a $2 check +tip. Could have used for lunch or dinner too. They also gave us a beach pass to the private beach down the street which I think saved us $20. Pool and hot tub was nice and clean. Walking distance to main street to access casinos and Heavenly makes it nice too. Read less

I am so glad we stayed at this hotel. The hotel is older, but so are a lot of hotels in South Tahoe, it had lovely grounds and was kept up nicely. The front desk personnel were helpful and kind. They allowed me to check in very early. It was very much appreciated. Breakfast vouchers come with the room for their restaurant. Breakfast was great! Nice little menu with good choices and delish! Service was quick and friendly. The hotel is a little dated, but felt clean and comfortable. We had the one queen room. I knew when I booked that it is small. It is small, but I was grateful that it had a queen bed. The room would probably feel bigger if there wasn't quite as much furniture. It has two good size chairs with a little end table, the bed plus two bedside tables, a large dresser, desk with chair, and armoire. They need to do away with the armoire and put a nice rod for hanging in the same place, get a smaller dresser, move the fridge to under the sink area, get smaller chairs and do away with or get a much smaller end table and smaller bedside tables. The desk could probably go as well, but it's nice to have a place to put electronics and to charge them, so not sure I would do away with the desk. I think all this furniture made the room feel small and hard for two people to maneuver around. Still, it was comfortable and I didn't really mind it. The pool area was well used when we were there and looked very clean. They had a nice deck by the pool area where you could order drinks and some food. Also had a guy playing guitar and singing on the deck on Sunday who was awesome. Wish I would have caught his name, but he was great. The absolute best thing about this hotel is the location! It could not be beat. Quiet and nice area but only a couple blocks to everything. Three blocks to the Heavenly resort area with all it's shops and restaurants. Another block beyond that to the casinos. The lake and beach is only 2 blocks and was a very easy walk. The hotel even gives beach passes so you don't need to pay the $10 per person to get in. Parking is also included with the room and there seemed to be plenty. I would definitely stay here again! Read less
