Perfectly located, picturesque on the outside but very dated inside. Rooms are sufficiently sized and the service was as expected. Breakfast serving sizes are gigantic, however the food is not suited to international visitors (no vegetables, few fruits, no non-pork meat options, no congee, no espresso, very limited selection of tea, margarine rather than butter). The main restaurant is ok value for the price. The pool and spa are in a great setting, especially for winter use. Easy walk to the beach and Heavenly Village. All in all we enjoyed our stay, however feel this is a 3 star hotel at a 5 star price. Read less

My wife and I , along with my daughter and her husband each reserved King suites for two nights, (Saturday and Sunday) during Martin Luther King holiday weekend at a cost of $250 per night per room. With the added required Valet parking ($27 per night), resort fee ($34 per night), plus taxes, the total charged for the 2 night stay was just under $675.00 per room! Our rooms were on the 8th floor overlooking Harrah’s casino (which was not a great view). Here are the reasons we are giving this hotel poor marks: Both rooms were dated with older furniture and had noticeable stains on the chair cushions and carpet; The heater/air conditioning unit alternated blowing warm and then cold air no matter at what temperature we set the thermostat; The temperature of the hot tub was comfortable enough to sit in after skiing at Heavenly Ski resort, but it was nearly always full of small children splashing around in it and using it as a swimming pool (or possibly even a toilet) rather than being restricted to adults to use as a relaxing tub; The free breakfast every morning consisted of lukewarm powdered eggs or French toast, along with some fresh fruit, greasy sausage and/or bacon, and salty potatoes. If you wanted an omelette or real fried eggs prepared for you there was a $5.00 extra charge. We didn’t try the pool, as many other guests told us the water was cold, but like the hot tub it was also usually full of noisy children splashing around and otherwise making the whole experience uninviting. There should be hours reserved at the pool or hot tub for adults only; We had to call for someone to bring a hairdryer to the room as there was not one in the room; There was no fan in the bathroom to get rid of steam or unpleasant odors; There was only one small box of tissues in the room that my wife found in the bathroom, but none in the bedroom or living areas. On the plus side, it was easy walking distance to the casinos next door, or to the shops and ski lifts at Heavenly Village. The parking attendants and desk and bell staff were very nice to us, and we tipped them accordingly. The positives did not outweigh the negatives however. I would be more inclined to stay again if the total charges were cut in half for a similar stay, or if there were more perks included as part of the resort and parking fees. There are much nicer hotels in the area that charge far less with no added extra fees. Read less

Spent two nights with the family (two kids under the age of 4). Room was just clean enough for us to stay though very outdated and worn. Spent two nights with the family (two kids under the age of 4). Room was just clean enough for us to stay though very outdated and worn. There was nothing terrible about it, it was just generally a disappointment. Here’s the list of things we found disappointing: - The cocktails were not good, poorly made and the bar staff did not hesitate to hand squeeze limes into drinks right after handling their phones - it took over 30 minutes sitting at the bar to get the mediocre and unhygienic cocktail - No water in any of the vending machines in the hotel (multiple floors checked) - our checkin was delayed by more than an hour so we had to go find something else to do, and the hotel did not call when it was ready. When we called they seemed reluctant to give us the room, and they seemed to think they were doing us a favor - room had no bath plug, only two small pillows per bed (old beat up pillows), no bottled water available (even to buy), pull out sofa had food and napkins from the last guests so likely the linen had not been changed - Elevators kept going out of service so it could take 15 mins to get down For a weekend trip to Tahoe I had expected something simple, clean and thoughtful. This place is in need of a revamp and optimization to the needs of their guests. Read less

The Lake Tahoe resort was an elegant resort overlooking the lovely Lake Tahoe. It indeed had many amenities such as fishing, kayaking, relaxing on the beach and swimming. It is a lovely place for only you, your family or to chill with friends!
