We even got a personalised show through the room which was beautiful and warm with heated floors, toilet seat and fire. Jimmys restaurant is well priced friendly and really nice food. The bar tender was awesome and suggested some good places in town we could go to. They even have a Courtesy bus which takes you up the street. The views are also beautiful and the beds extremely comfortable. I was going to put this review in with the best place we have stayed on our 7 week holiday through the USA. However upon checkout it went from an amazing place to putting a poor taste in my mouth. On checkout the bill seemed high. I enquired and found a charge we didn’t make, mistakes happen easy fixed (I thought) but what I couldn’t get over was they tried to first say it was ours then upon finding it actually was another room there was no sorry a couple of words and this place still would of been the best place but It was more an inconvenience. It’s really sad because everything to that point was perfect, which is hard to come across. Read less

Such a restful, picturesque hotel. This hotel is quiet, clean and peaceful. The staff is caring, accommodating and kind. They were so helpful. We came here for the weekend and left thinking we had been there for weeks.

Stayed at The Landing for a long weekend in between some work trips and by the time I left, the room felt like home and the staff felt like friends. As someone who travels often I appreciated the warm, cozy feeling of the guest rooms as well as the unique features (heated toilet seat, heated bathroom floors, Jacuzzi tub, double vanity, a fireplace and local coffee). With a large balcony right across the street from the lake, you truly can't beat the view (especially at sunrise). The hotel's smaller size lead to more one-on-one interactions with the staff, especially the bellmen & bartenders in Jimmy's. A great first impression from the moment I was picked up from the shuttle stop by their shuttle driver. I was greeted with a glass of champagne and the bellman who helped me to my room pointed out all the hotel amenities and explained all the features in the room and gave me some tips about the surrounding area. The village is right up the road and made for a nice walk to restaurants/bars & shops and the shuttle took me to the places that were a smidge too far for walking. While the gym leaves a little bit to desire- Tahoe is too beautiful to be stuck inside on a treadmill. Overall, my stay was quite lovely and I've already started planning a trip back to Tahoe over the summer and will definitely be staying at The Landing again. Read less

Our room had a great view (we paid for the view), with a nice deck to further enjoy the view. We travelled in mid-April, which is a slow time for Tahoe, and for a while it felt like we were the only guests there. The walk to our room from the lobby was long, and the hallways were dark, shallow and narrow. One could argue this leaves more space for the guest rooms, but I found it a depressing walk to my otherwise perfect room. You’ve likely seen mentions to the heated components in the bathroom. The towel rack heater was AWESOME. I may get one at home. Another plus was an empty fridge and K Cups from a small roaster nearby in Nevada. Best in-room coffee I’ve had. No issues with maid service or turn-down. Valet parking was annoying. The place was empty to begin with so it wasn’t a challenge to park, but they really insisted on our using it. Often we’d come to retrieve the car and no one was in the lobby. It’s not fun to wait when your car is no more than 50 feet away. On day two, we stopped using the valet and just parked wherever - they had plenty of empty spaces. It’s worth staying here (my wife says she’d stay there again), but if it’s up to me I’d like to chose a different place. Read less

The rooms are fantastic. The bathroom will not disappoint, heated floors and a heated toilet seat!! Great view, within walking distance to everything. We have stayed at The Landing a couple of times - if the weather is warm or cold this hotel is a delight!!
