Set on an 11-acre resort, there’s a complimentary shuttle to whisk you around, or to take you down to the shores of Lake Tahoe. In summer, as well as on-site activities and swimming, there are hiking trails, beautiful beaches and boating to keep you busy, whilst in winter you are just a quick ride from great skiing, via the Stagecoach Chairlift.

Where is it

In South Lake Tahoe, with convenient ski in/ski out accommodations to Heavenly's Stagecoach Chairlift via the Hillside Elevator, an 8-passenger transport. Heavenly 'BlueGo' bus service stops at the hotel.

Hotel information

302 rooms and suites in 7 buildings. All rooms offer a TV and DVD, mini-fridge, coffee maker, microwave, small siting area and safe. Deluxe Rooms have 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults. 

1-Bedroom Suites have fully equipped kitchen, dining area, 1 king-size bed in bedroom and a queen-size sleeper sofa in living room, sleeping maximum 4 adults.

2-Bedroom Suites have 2 separate bedrooms, sleeping maximum 6 adults.

Hungry Bear restaurant (days and hours of operation vary), The Bear Trap Bar and The Ridge Club Bistro (open for light breakfast, lunch and dinner options). Indoor and outdoor swimming pool and whirlpools. Spa*. Fitness centre. Indoor tennis, raquetball and basketball. Ping pong and billiards room. Video arcade*. Film nights. Grocery store. Gift shop. Kids' club* (3+ years). Complimentary shuttle into town (once per hour till 11:00pm weeknights and midnight on weekends, subject to change). Complimentary self-parking.

This hotel has a resort fee of $39 plus tax per room, per day (payable locally, subject to change)

We booked via vrbo with leavetown to stay in 2 be for our 30th Vrbo..aka leavetown did NOT tell us that there was noAC. I have a breathing condition and cannot go without air. We went back and expressed our concern, but they said they couldn’t do anything about it. I was not all night and could not sleep as it was 85 degrees. called leavetown and expressed concerned..they just said they will ensure they post no AC.. I had to leave 5 days early due to the situation and had to pay for a different place. I have asked for a refund but leavetown nor holiday inn will give me money back. Leavetown says holiday inn has the money and vice versa. I would never stay there again..toilet didn’t work, had to be fixed 3 times, refrig was leaking and the carpet was filthy…found a used my butt I our room even though they claim they have enhanced cleaning. I don’t trust either of them. I am taking this to my cc company for relief. I expect them to keep their part of the contract as I paid on time. So disappointed!!, Read less

Absolutely the WORST timeshare vacation spot that we have ever visited. Dilapidated, dirty, dark and hot (no AC) for starters. We stayed in the Terrace building. There’s only one little 10W light bulb for the toilet/shower room and so we basically showered in the dark. The carpet was so tattered and dirty that we left our shoes on the entire time.… Read more

The linens were years beyond their normal life. We ended up leaving the place after the first night and escalated the issue to the parent timeshare company (Interval Intl). Do NOT trust Interval Intl when they say it’s a premier resort. Read less

We have been owners for almost 20 years and enjoy coming up a few times a year. We were in desperate need of an escape because of the pandemic and were looking forward to a change of scenery. I started looking at the reviews since it has been 2 years since we've been up and I'm not going to lie I was nervous. When we arrived check in was excellent. We waited in our car and received a text saying to check in to the lobby. Our room was ready and off we went. We stayed in the Cascade building. They DO NOT have any air conditioners in the rooms and are stuffy and even a bit hot. We opened the windows and balcony door to air it out. A swamp cooler and fans were provided. The cleanliness of the rooms are questionable. You would think they would be even more clean with the pandemic but I guess there really is a labor shortage as I did notice some items on the floor. We ran the dishwasher immediately so all the dishes were clean and wiped down all services to make sure everything was sanitized (we never have done this while on vacation). Over all the room was great and clean enough. I didn't feel that it was filthy just some overlooked items on the floor. We also spent a lot of time at the pool. The stairway to the pool is in desperate need of repair and seems like a trip hazard waiting to happen. Myself and family were pleased with the resort and our stay. Can't wait for the next time. We are here today in the Cascade building and our rooms are close to 90 degrees- try sleeping in that heat!!!!!!!!!!! We are here today in the Cascade building and our rooms are close to 90 degrees- try sleeping in that heat!!!!!!!!!!! When we complained several times, they provided fans which now blow the hot air around. There is no website yet for Ridge owners but has been promised for at least two years so have to call in to Holiday if you can get anyone that knows what they are doing. Communication has been terrible to non existent for owners. We are VIP members but nobody can tell us how that coverts. Sidewalks are falling apart with crumbling cement. hot tub 'under repair' as it has been for at least two years. Staff is friendly even if most can't tell us our current benefit package. Say at one of the Marriott time shares, which we also own, for a good experience. Wish there was a way to get a refund for our stay and membership with Holiday Inn. Buyers be very aware before you purchase here. We sure regret that we did now. Read less

No air conditioning and window cranks have been removed. Have to close drapes all day or cook. No air movement. The provide a box fan so have blow air by leavings door ajar. 90+ degrees. Yikes. If you have a portable a/c bring it. Beautiful view. Staff friendly. Units clean.
