Really missed having the Hungry Bear restaurant open. It was closed the entire week, usually it’s open Wed and Thurs. We tried the Bistro and they served our kids two half charred hot dogs, me a burned burger (but took care to cover the super charred side with cheese, had to dig to find why it tasted so bad) and then replaced my burned burger with a raw one? My husband’s burger was good and so were the drinks. However, $68 later I was still hungry. We were given a unit with forced heat (Nagle 10) in the unit. This meant we had no pantry since they put the heater in that area. Every time the heat kicked on it sounded like an engine roared to life. We couldn’t sleep and sought a replacement room at 7:15 the next morning. Packed up and moved buildings to a normal unit with silent wall heat (and a pantry to store a weeks worth of food), amen! Unfortunately the spa wasn’t working. This was also a problem in building 11 last year when we visited. In fact, since they replaced the old brown hot tubs, we have had more years without the spa than with. After a long day (or days in this case) of skiing, it is so nice to hop into a hot tub steps from your room. We called Sunday and were told kids had put bubble bath in the spa and it had to be drained and refilled. Wednesday we figured there had been enough time to resolve this and went to take a dip. The water was barely body temp. It is very disappointing to be told that we are welcome to use another building’s spa. Seriously, it’s freezing when you finish and then we should walk, or drive wet back to our building? How about a real solution like replace the spas that don’t work reliably. We called for towels Wednesday and were told our mid week cleaning would take place from 9-4 that day so we would have fresh towels. Came home from skiing and what do you know, no service. Had to call again and request the same towels we still needed. We LOVE being able to access Stagecoach, we love snowy balconies the kids can play on, we love the views and the fact that we can share experiences we grew up with (owners since 1981), with our kids. We wish the management/staff cared a bit more about making things right for the guests. Fix the hot tubs, open the restaurant and go back to having housekeeping knock on the door each morning to see if anything is needed. Read less

We stayed in the Cascade Bldg for 1 week in a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom. Plenty of space and amenities to make it a comfortable stay. It snowed a lot so was hard to get around, but that no fault of the resort. Just wouldn't have been ideal for my older parents. Amenities were great and staff was amazing. ESPECIALLY Mr. Bert. Skiing & other restaurants available near the resort. Would definitely go back :) Read less

Really? After calling days before our arrival and talking to Kim and a few others who didn’t even know what a bed duvet was ,I explained I was severely allergic to their chemically laden bedspreads and to please put duvets on both beds. Very beaten down condos with cheap amenities and pieced together furnishings Poorly managed as well. Do yourself a favor and go to the Marriott Timber lodge or The Ritz Carlton This place is like a glorified motel. We will be selling here ASAP and hope to at least recover a quarter of what we spent on it. Ridge Tahoe— your ship has sailed. Time to get into this century. Below are pics of how you are welcomed as “owners “to your “resort “ at the Ridge Tahoe Priceless!! Read less
