Not worth the $$$. Room is big (a star for that). No free parking. $29 for valet overnight. Pool is murky. Breakfast isn’t free. No vent in the bathroom. Popcorn ceiling. No wifi. Book somewhere else.

This is NO RESORT Warning: Do not stay here. Extremely poor place, poor conditions and sadly, misleading. I’m frustrated. I expected better service than a motel. This is NO RESORT Warning: Do not stay here. Extremely poor place, poor conditions and sadly, misleading. I’m frustrated. I expected better service than a motel. We chose a “resort” to give our kids a nice “first family trip ever” experience. All they can recall is me saying: “don’t touch this, don’t touch that.” To say the least, we will NEVER step foot here. We will bring our business elsewhere. The funny thing is that once I started going through other reviews (after the fact) we all have similar issues and the “Resort” continues to ignore them and don’t care. It’s obvious. So many wrong things with this place. From beginning to end. There SO MUCH dust everywhere that even my 2 month old baby was sneezing the time we were in the room. My husband had horrible allergies that even started wheezing along with my other little one. The room is dirty, towels are stained, doors and light switches plastics are disgusting. I feel so gross that I will be washing everything and showering everyone as soon as we get home. Internet doesn’t work: broken. My husband and friend had to go park vehicles to a casino cause there was no parking and no valet available. Hotel room and pool smelled like mildew, dust and dirty. Vending machines out of order. Fees on top of fees. No complementary anything- not even water, coffee or tea in the lobby… I mean NOTHING. It was not a good experience at all. Bathroom is dirty, walls are full of dust, our room had food crumbs and trash around the corners, the window are dirty with hand prints, no air vent in the bathroom, bathroom door doesn’t lock and our guest walked on my kid on accident, there so much negative things to say that I’m so sorry we stayed here 2 nights. I was honestly hoping to relax and enjoy this “beautiful place” as they make it look online. We want our money back. Warning: don’t stay here. Oh and no housekeeping. I had diapers and was expecting to at least find the trash taken out from the room, or clean towels, Or shampoo/toilet paper replenished and no! I called room service for these basic things: towels, shampoo and trash pick up/dirty towels and they JUST brought towels. They asked me to take out my own trash and trash cans didn’t even have plastic liners. Popcorn ceiling full of dust and webs. And not to say that the day/sofa bed was extremely old and you could feel wires from mattress. Our bathroom lights went out, definitely not kid friendly. My 2 year old could easily fit through the rails on the fence that along each floor. I couldn’t even walk to the room in peace letting walk by herself. Not a resort at all. I can only add 10 pictures max… I have plenty more to show. To put the cherry on top, booking is through 3rd party so even if you ask them to cancel the room for the following days, you’re SOL. Wifi did not work properly on my room, or in the lobby. There were cobwebs on the ceiling, on the fire sprinkler, on the curtains. There were pieces of paper on the bathroom ceiling. Ventilation in the bathroom did not work. Light switches had SO much dust and dirt. Windows had a lot of dirt. The sofa bed was in terrible condition. I had to put the mattress on the floor... did not work as the mattress was also in very poor condition. The door had scratches. The curtain was falling from its hooks. The elevator had very poor maintenance. The smoke detector was falling apart. I DID tell the front desk about these problems and all they said was "we'll look into it". It never happened. Never coming back to this hotel. It's a shame.... when it was the "EMBASSY SUITES", it had very good maintenance. Breakfast was expensive for what they offered. There were NO COVID protocols in this hotel. And using this excuse, they DID NOT have chambermaids daily. Read less
Image of the Tripadvisor rating Not remotely "resort" like

This hotel is just old and tired and calling it a "resort" is simply misleading. This hotel is just old and tired and calling it a "resort" is simply misleading. The only thing going for it is the rooms are big - they are real suites, bedroom has a door you can close, a large living/dining room, just missing a stove, there is a wet bar with small fridge (which freezes everything no matter the setting), a very old microwave, and safe - and probably haven't seen much renovation since its previous life as an embassy suites. All kinds of details are problematic - every chair has stains on them - if they can't keep the fabrics clean why not just replace them with plain wooden ones that won't stain? The window sheers have burn holes in them. The lightbulb in the bedside lamp hangs to one side as if it's going to fall off (but miraculously still works, just looks dangerous). Bathroom fixtures - the faucet in the tub is not fitted all the way in leaving a big gap in between, and hot water, non existent in the sink, goes on and off in the shower, mostly it's lukewarm. It's also just changed ownership last winter and instead of any improvements there's no more comp breakfast. Granted the old breakfast wasn't great but at least it provided convenience. Now they are charging $23 for something marginally better (and they still charge the ridiculous $35 resort fee without providing anything in return). The tiny pool and hot tub are indoors and utterly unappealing and easily overrun with lots of children. The hotel's big, with 400 rooms and meeting space so can accommodate large groups. Location is ok, you can walk a few blocks to shops and restaurants and a huge grocery store, and the 750 feet walk to the gondola sounds worse than it actually is. It's not a bad looking building from the outside, and the inside atrium setup can be charming, but don't expect anything remotely "resort" like if you choose to stay here. And beware that in case you have to check out a day early you will be charged a $75 penalty. Read less
