We spent two nights at Yavapai Lodge. Check in was breezy and we were welcomed warmly. Setting is spectacular. We had a room in the East section. Rooms were very clean, including the linen. Considering it's a lodge and located within a National park, we were impressed and loved the accommodation. All amenities within the rooms were sufficient. Room has a small fridge, coffee machine (no microwave), and the restroom has all required accessories. We came away very satisfied with the Yavapai Lodge and will highly recommend it. Just keep in mind that it's a lodge and not a resort. Gorgeous location. Minutes from the South Rim and access to many points within short driving distance and access to the bus shuttle. Read less

Room too small for 5 of us even though with double decker and no wifi access in the room . Only can access wifi at reception building which was nice , comfortable and spacious though where the restaurant and tavern are located .

We found the Yavapai Lodge to be an excellent choice. We wanted to stay right in Grand Canyon Village and there aren't many choices and the other options are quite expensive. Yavapai Lodge is reasonably priced for a National Park lodge and our room was clean and very well appointed for our needs. The king bed was extremely comfortable, we had plenty of hot water and the heating worked well which was especially important since it was very cold and snowy outside. We had a small frig, a coffee maker and a nice flat screen TV. The main lodge was just across the road which housed a cafeteria-style restaurant offering very decent food for breakfast, lunch and dinner, a tavern-bar serving good appetizers and burgers, a coffee shop and a large gift store. Across the parking lot from the main lodge is a large general store selling a extensive selection of groceries, beer, wine, clothing, camping equipment and containing a deli selling fresh made items. We had an enjoyable, comfortable 2 nights and will return to stay here again. Read less

Be aware, that there appears to be numerous ways to book a reservation at Yavapai Lodge, which I have learned after the fact. Upon googling, I ended up booking through National Park Reservations. Apparently, this is NOT the only way to book the reservation. I originally booked one room for our family and decided a month later to add a room and change our original reservation of 4 to two different rooms. I was told by the reservation customer rep that I would get credited for the additionally charge of 2 extra people on the first reservation, since I was just moving them to an additional booked room. Credit didn't come and this company charges a 10% booking fee on top of the lodging charge. Do your research when booking and I suggest trying to figure out how to book direct. Looking forward to staying at Yavapai and seeing the GC. I'll report later on the actual stay. Read less

Just wanted to thank the front desk and staff for their hospitality. After our rv rental fell through and we were delayed by a snow storm, they were very helpful to accommodate us and our pups last minute. Staff was friendly and polite. Thank you so much for helping us rearrange our stay without a big fuss - it saved our trip.
