The lodge has been recently renovated and very nice. Too bad the desk clerks all acted like they were over worked and that guests were a bother. There is no internet away from the lodge and at the check in area, the signal was very weak. The lodge has been recently renovated and very nice. Too bad the desk clerks all acted like they were over worked and that guests were a bother. There is no internet away from the lodge and at the check in area, the signal was very weak. You know the office has to have internet so really no reason not to have updated internet service when all the others renovations were done. You can’t even call or text to find out where another friend might be located. COVID was used as an excuse for many services not being offered. Food service at the lodge and the park was terrible and expensive. Luckily the buses are running in the park, but for some unknown reason bc of COVID the route to the lodge is not running. It’s a pretty good hike to anywhere close to the rim and there is not room to walk along the road and it’s pitch black at night. I thought about walking from the lodge to the market but was afraid I might get run over. I would only stay here again if someone in my party wanted to stay inside the park. Read less

Looking for a place to stay in the Grand Canyon. Almost all booked but came across the Yavapai Lodge. Great experience. The place was built in the 50’s , it shows from the outside. What a pleasant surprise inside. Our room had great beds, four pillows to each bed. We had a refrigerator, coffee maker, air conditioning, plenty of towels, an easy chair. The Lodge is close to a General Store, Coffee Shop, and a take out restaurant. Once you order your food, they bring it out to you in the patio. The main restaurant seating is sill closed. The front desk folks are very pleasant and efficient. Great place. Read less

The rooms were very clean and well kept. Friendly service. Close to restaurants and markets. The wildlife roams freely around the grounds, which was cool. It's minutes away from the canyon rim. Highly recommend it.

Happy to get a last minute reservation. The fairly large, very clean room with two comfortable big beds was great, especially after hiking into the canyon. Building seems old, and no coffee maker is a bummer. Not on the rim as some of the other lodges, but it makes you go explore, and burn off the calories. Service staffing thin, but some try… Read more

When I read reviews to stay in the park, they are correct. Staying in the park saves you a lot of time. Now my review is around covid-19 period so many places were limited or crowded because of limited capacity. I wanted a room for pets and this is why I picked this hotel. When I read reviews to stay in the park, they are correct. Staying in the park saves you a lot of time. Now my review is around covid-19 period so many places were limited or crowded because of limited capacity. I wanted a room for pets and this is why I picked this hotel. It is perfect location for trails that take dogs. You can do the upper rim hike with dogs and around the park too. Perfect location for owners with dogs. Rooms are nice and new. Definitely would come back with my dog and son again. Read less
