Great location, walking distance to bus, food, post office and groceries. Great parking. Quiet. We stayed the end of July to Aug 1. Our room was not air conditioned and there was only one window to open. The ceiling fan was not adequate. The room was cinder block and it was so HOT. It was cooler outside than inside the room. A/C is a must for summer stays at the Grand Canyon. There is no WiFi or cell service. You must walk to the restaurant for reception. It worked nicely. We would stay here agin, just not in a summer month. Read less

We were in Yavapai East in the middle of a beautiful forest. Because we were on the second floor we kept the curtains on our picture window open all the time for the view. The hotel is located within walkind distance of a restaurant, take-out, and grocery store, all with good, fairly reasonably priced (for a tourist place) food. We were also close to the bus stop. Our unit had been renovated and had a nice bathroom, comfortable bed, nice carpet and draperies. The El Tovar is a fancier hotel, but there was so much traffic and activity in that area. Even though it was off season there were a lot of people and alot of traffic around the other hotels in the park. Read less

Our room comfortably accommodated us (we slept 5 in the room, 2 double beds and a cot). Hotel was quiet and clean. We ate most of our meals at the Lodge, which was convenient and of reasonable quality (not many food options in the park).

The location inside the park was perfect and the staff was so helpful and answered my many questions about the Grand Canyon. The rooms were clean and the cost was family friendly. The views from outside the windows were amazing and location close to everything.
